Alpine Country Motel

This Motel is great for an overnight stop and this is not the first time we have stayed. If you are looking for 5 star accommodation you will be disappointed , It is however clean and comfortable and good value for the price. The room and facilities were as represented, it was clean , warm and more than adequate. It is not a flash motel but the owners do provide a value for money overnight stop. Clean room, Clean sheets, clean facilities, a tv that worked and good hot water in the shower. due to covid etc they no longer offer breakfast but there is a toaster and microwave and kettle so if you had stuff you could make a simple brekky.. all in all a good overnight stop... We will stay again at some stage.

It was a one-night stay on our way from Sydney to Thredbo. We have done this a few times before and the hotels were basic, freezing and uncomfortable. This as a pleasant surprise. Lovely staff who made everything easy (contactless but easy). Cozy and loved the electric blankets.

Motel is a few kms out of town, would have preferred in town but booked out. Motel contacted us by phone and advised how to check in as there may be no one in the office when we arrived - all arrangements were good and we appreciated the call. Clean and comfortable and met our requirements for a one night stay; although on the main road, no noise problems and we enjoyed the bush setting rather than a stay in a town area.

Nothing comes to mind

It had everything we needed, toaster, kettle and microwave. The room was warm and bed was comfy

The heaters thermostat seemed to click constantly at night which woke me a number of times. The group in the adjacent room were excessively noisy till 1am (not the motels fault though, just inconsiderate people)

Very clean and tidy, and the room was nice and warm on arrival (it was the middle of winter). The rooms are dated however full of character. Would absolutely stay again.

The mattress was a little hard for my liking however that’s just preference! Still had a great sleep

Bed was super comfy and breakfast packs were helpful.

Decor is very dated. There’s no blinds on the bathroom window so make sure you close the door before going to bed otherwise it’s VERY bright!

Kerry’s is fantastic to deal with: she is very efficient and helpful. I have stayed at the motel several times now. It is clean, comfortable and quiet and great value for money. I’ll being staying here again in the future for sure when on my trips to the lakes.

Nothing worth mentioning.

Simple but had everything we needed, loved the fact that fresh milk was provided! Saved us a trip to the store on the way. The host rang to do a contactless check in and made sure we knew where they were located etc

Maybe locks on the windows for safe ventilation?

We didn’t order breakfast from the motel. Made use of the toaster and kettle. Great location without to much traffic noise from the busy road.

Can’t think of much to improve.

The Location was fine. Appreciated the staff calling us up and confirming room number etc before arrival. when we arrived our room was open and everything in place. Wifi was good as was hot water

The second bed in room 6 for my liking was a tad hard
