Clifton Motel

Very easy to get to. Excellent location in the heart of town. Good parking. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Fantastic value for money. Clean, quiet,comfortable. Loved the eco friendly refills that supplied you with soap, shampoo, conditioner. Stops unnecessary plastic use. Highly recommend.

The room fridge/ freezer was not cold enough. Small thing but I do need to keep my medication cool. The freezer didn’t freeze my cold pack which was needed for travel. Car covered in bird poo as it was under trees. Had to take it to a car wash.

Even tho the motel looked very run down, the room was very clean, bed very comfortable & had everything you needed. The added bonus was the complimentary breakfast - this doesn't happen very often these days. The location was great and the staff were very polite & helpful.

I feel that there could be some maintenance carried out in the room, nothing major. This would help in the appearance.

For the price it's good, and room had everything we needed, including microwave, fridge, plates & cutlery, toaster, kettle and coffee & tea. Bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast is a nice gesture: simple (cereal & toast) and brought to the room the night before on a tray. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Wifi signal was not the strongest, but we were connected all the time. Motel is not the newest, and certain areas could have been cleaner, but not to the extent that it was disturbing. Could park directly outside room. Would stay again.

Two night stay in a very comfortable and clean room with bonus Netflix and breakfast (cereal/toast). We chose this hotel due to both close proximity to the train station and the budget price ($81) and with recent good reviews I thought it would be ok for a couple of nights. While the front of the hotel isn't anything special, the service, quality and overall value for money is way above average. I requested a quiet room and our room (11) was at the back away from any traffic. The room was small and could do with a paint touch up but very comfortable and cosy with a king bed, wardrobe, smart tv and table/chairs. The air conditioner was so quiet you couldn't even tell it was on. We were impressed with the level of cleanliness. Hot water was a bit hit and miss one morning but I mentioned it and perhaps they will install a better water heating system. We didn't know breakfast was included and even though it was just cereal and white bread with jam or vegemite we appreciated it. Kettle, toaster and fridge in room and a microwave was provided on request. Coffee shops are a five minute walk away up to Dean Street. I was shocked we had access to Netflix as you don't even get that in most 5 star hotels and the wifi worked well too. For this price you can't go wrong and we highly recommend it. Well done Mina and Sim. We would definitely stay again.

Basic but so was the room which is why it is priced where it is. They are not trying to eb something they are not. Its an older style motel but all anyone travelling through needs is a comfortable bed and a nice shower...Tick and tick here. Breakfast was fine. cereal and toast...again for the price it was within expectations

wouldn't change a thing

We were very satisfied with our accommodation at Clifton Motel, from the moment we were greeted at the reception right up to the time we left. The room was very clean, the bed exceptionally comfortable, the bathroom spotless and the amenities excellent. The included breakfast was great. Finally, the location couldn't have been better as it is very close to the major attractions in Albury. Would definitely recommend this place, and we would gladly stay there again. Great hosts in Mina and her husband.

Perhaps a couple of shelves in the cupboard to put clothes.

We stayed in winter and it was cold. So I was really happy that the heater was easy to use and worked really well. There was an electric blanket on the bed and the water was hot. Breakfast was basic but all we needed. Cereal and toast with tea or coffee. All staff were super friendly and helpful.

Parking was a bit squeezy. We have a Toyota Hi Lux and parking was a challenge.

The owners/caretakers/staff.. they were lovely. Friendly..helpful..very nice people. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms were little bungalow type rooms. It had everything I needed for a good night's stay. Microwave. Fridge. TV. Comfy bed. Big shower. Parking was off street which was good. It was super affordable.

When I stay in a motel, I am happy if it has a microwave, fridge, TV, toiletries (including shampoo and face cloth), toaster, kettle and great wi-fi. The Clifton had all of those plus a couple of other little happy surprises (like simple, but free, breakfast). I have stayed in many more expensive motels that lacked many of those things, and the Clifton did them all all - and well. Definitely recommend.

There was nothing to complain about at all - especially for this price point.

We arrived late at night because of delays in public transport due to heavy rain and storms. Our host greeted us with umbrellas, but then because it was raining so hard allowed us to take a shortcut to our room through their private residence to stay dry. A continental breakfast was served to our room, which was small but very clean and comfortable.

We had no complaints at all! The motel is very close to the station and to the town centre and shops. The host was kind to us. Hard to beat for a very reasonable price, including breakfast.
