Elm Court Motel

The manager greeted us with a warm welcome, and the room was so lovely to walk into a fresh, clean room. We have travelled from Port Stephens to Great Ocean road and back, and this motel is one of the best we have stayed in. There is a kitchen that has everything for you to use and the dining room, too, at no extra cost. What more can you ask for? It's suitable for one person to stay or a family too. Have your own table outside your room to sit and enjoy the rest from travelling and a lovely cuppa. The room has air-conditioning for all weather and free tea n coffee. Everything is modern and lovely artwork on walls too. I would recommend this motel for anyone who travels to Goulburn. Thank you, Black sheep motel, for the best stay on my way holiday. No stress booking this motel either. You made my day, and you deserve 5 stars

Nothing at all

Clean, comfortable beds, good value for money.

The only downside was that a very noisy blower and an electric hedge cutter were being used for 4 hours (literally 2pm - 6pm) one day during our stay, the noise was unbearable and unfortunately No communication from Staff regarding the works and the noise, it was very excessive for a few branches from small trees and using the blower to go through the whole property (surely a weekday would have been better for all that noise when there is less guests) Unfortunately a bit of a downer but a great stay otherwise.

Location is ideal, walking distance to shops and cafes etc. Staff were very nice and room was very clean. The motel has obviously been around for a long time but had been well maintained. Everything in the room was spot on, really nice sheets, very clean bathroom and floors all very clean. Our room was right in front of the pool but could not hear the kids swimming as room door was very solid. Would not hesitate to stay here again. If you are expecting a five star motel then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a great priced motel that is very clean and a decent sized room then this is a great choice.

Nothing not to like

Elm Court Motel is an exceptionally clean, good value budget hotel. The beds were comfortable, walk in shower was well set up and great hot water pressure. The mini kitchen was well equipped with micro, fridge, toaster kettle and a good range of rockery and cutlery. Even complimentary biscuits and milk. Good storage. High ceilings. Feeling of space. Convenient to the main centre of Albury. We would definitely stay here again.

Sometimes other guests are very noisy getting in and out of their rooms.

The location is great, easy access to shops, restaurants etc. Bathroom is very spacious and probably the best setup I have seen. Beds are very comfy.

As you come through the front door, the bathroom is on the right, and turning is tight. The disabled carpark spot is tight if you have a larger car, due to the poles of the awning. I had to reverse in, so my daughter had space to get in to her wheelchair, this meant I had to lift the wheelchair around a table and 2 chairs. To get to the pool my daughter had to go into the carpark as outside each room on the designated walkway is a table and 2 chairs, restricting wheelchairs. The pool was unable to be used due to the chlorine not being automatically dispensed and business's closed for Christmas. We did get to sit and play in the spa to cool off. Staff member was feeling a bit frustrated trying to rectify the pool.

This motel has one of the best showers I've had. Though be careful as the hot water comes through quickly and is very hot. Burn hot. Great pressure. Great location within walking distance of the CBD. Reasonably quiet. Loved that it had cover over the car parking, great in wet weather. Our room was a standard queen and it was quite comfortable. The gentleman on reception was lovely, very friendly.

I found the pelmet over the bed holding the bed lights and radio was a head banger when sitting up in bed to watch TV. It really needs to be removed. I got caught a couple of times.

I have been before pre-covid. It is close to Dean St where we gathered for meeting and dinner. Not too far from the station. Not too crowded so eraly check in was possible. Staff were helpful and friendly. No pressure. It's quiet too, off the main roads.

I remember breakfast last time, but not on this time. Foxtel Footy would have been nice by VFL on Channel & was good enough. There is lots of free to air these days too. Otherwise, I have no complaints. If I return to Albury I'll happily stay there again.

Great that we could make our own breakfast with room microwave and toaster. The pool and area was clean. Undercover parking bonus with weather. Quite spacious room, interior could use updating, but clean and fit for purpose. Beds very comfy, big bathroom and shower. Walkable to food options and off highway location.

There is a lack of windows that you can look out. There is a privacy window for good light but room windows are above on split level roof. Room is spacious so you don't feel claustrophobic. Really good for sleeping.

Clean, plenty of parking, quick check in and out, very clean, caters for people wanting to eat in the room, walking distance to coffee shops, deli, and supermarkets.

The pool area is very exposed and feels like you are in a goldfish bowl - would be good if there was a screen across for the roof. The rooms are quite dated but then it is somewhat quaint because of that and obviously better value for money.
