The renovation of this property is exceptional. The linens , towels and bathrobes were lovely. The girl in the bar was great and made an excellent cocktail.

I believe we had one of the smaller rooms and there was nowhere to put a bag. There wasn’t a towel hook by the basin or any in the bathroom and no door on the bathroom. The pasta was fairly tasteless.

This property is amazing. Stunningly renovated, crystal clean, dog friendly, beds like a dream, delectable Italian food, house cooked pastries, amazing breakfast and friendly non pretentious staff. And it’s dog friendly and you are not relegated to the horrible rooms with a furry friend. There is a great wine list, coffee, amazing sitting room and enjoy a wine on the balcony! A big thank you to all the staff who made our 5 days fantastic - breakfast, dinner and cleaning people. The tour information was great - even though we turned up on the days when things were closed! You will not forget the breakfasts either - we were so full we did not eat till the evening!

Beautifully presented hotel. Everything felt luxurious- bed/curtains/chairs/towels/bathrobes/all the complimentary toiletries. Very clean. Bed was very comfy. TV has heaps of streaming services. Fast wifi. Bath tub stays hot for ages. Balcony is perfect spot to watch the sunset. Ample free parking out back of hotel. Service is impeccable. Staff were so friendly. Loved that there was a complimentary mini bar and the Lindt chocolates on the bed each day. Right on the main street of Eden so there is plenty of cafe and dining options within walking distance. The hotel breakfast was soooooo delicious. The pastries were exceptional. One of the best croissant I've ever had. I wish I had had more stomach to eat more!

Due to the open plan room, I peed in the dark if my partner was asleep. There is a night light though. Not a deal breaker for us, but be aware it's open plan and toilet is in same room as the bed. Also be aware you're above a restaurant so there can be noise/live music until about 9:30pm.

The room was perfect for our overnight stay on the drive back to Melbourne - very clean and the renovation is beautiful. The lift to the first floor is very handy with luggage. The bed and pillows were very comfy and the complimentary non-alcoholic fridge and snacks was a thoughtful touch!

A bit noisy as it is above a pub but that was to be expected - the advertised ocean view is quite minimal and the Juliette balcony overlooks the outdoor dining and kitchen so we weren't keen on sitting outside. Overall, no major complaints! We were offered complimentary breakfast due to a slight hiccup checking in but we left super early so didn't use it. Appreciated the offer though!

The whole experience was amazing, from the moment I first saw the stunning decor, to the attentive individualised service for dinner and same again for breakfast. The breakfast choices were amazing and although I was full and declined the pastries, they were wrapped up and given to me as a take away bag for on the road. Loved the chocolates on the bed and the well stocked mini-bar. On check-out, I was pleasantly surprised that there was no charge for the mini-bar items I had enjoyed. The Hotel Australasia is a beautiful experience that just gives and gives, well worth the money. The staff were all beautiful and friendly - perfect for solo travellers. I could not recommend highly enough and I will be back again - even if I have to make a detour to pass through Eden :).

I was a bit concerned about parking on the main street, but it was fine. No parking ticket and no damage - the beauty of country towns!

The hotel has been BEAUTIFULLY restored, breakfast and dinner were faultless. Every team member we interacted with was lovely, and the complimentary mini bar was a lovely touch. Room was very clean and the towels and bathrobes certainly lived up to the five star rating.....i took note of the brand for my own robe one day. We look forward to staying again!

Only thing is the open plan bathroom layout did make for a wet floor if you need the toilet after someone has showered, perhaps squidgee or extra floor mat may be handy. It's a minor issue , we personally loved the open plan bathroom design.

What an absolute find! Such a beautiful hotel with wonderful facilities, super lovely rooms, and EXCEPTIONAL value. The renovation is so tasteful and we loved the comfy beds and claw foot bath, the sitting room, view from the verandahs - and the breakfast was wonderful. We left with delicious take away pastries which kept us going well past lunch. We also had dinner at the hotel. Congratulations to the chef and the whole team for flawless service.

Absolutely nothing - it is on the Main Street with some views obstructed but the historic value and ambience outweighs this.

We really liked to location, the ambience of the newly renovated hotel and the facilities in the hotel.

The room we stayed in, had so many cushions on the bed, I had to throw them all on the floor. There was a beautiful pedestal bathtub in the room, but it was elevated on a tiled platform that I constantly tripped over on my way to the toilet. There was no glasses in the room at all, so we had to use these quaint little teacups to take our tablets and have a glass of water. There was also some snacks in the room, that our family who stayed in the room next door told us were very expensive. We didn't even have a price list in our room, so lucky we hadn't already had a munch.

I loved the historical story that went with the old hotel. The refurbishment was very well done. Great attention to detail. The staff were very friendly and competent.

When I made the booking, I asked a couple of questions. I didn’t get an answer!!! I attempted to ring to ask the same questions and very late on the day before my arrival was expected I was rung back with an answer. If the answer had not been to my liking, it would have been too late to cancel my booking w/o forfeiting funds.

Gorgeous restoration - the rooms are incredibly comfortable (we had a 'mountain view' room and balcony access); the claw foot baths are a wonderful way to finish a day of sightseeing. There are staff everywhere you look, and they make you feel there's nothing that can't be done to enhance your comfort. In house dining and bar were lovely, the food delicious, the breakfast generous - sure, a little expensive compared to other places, but not so expensive that you'd go somewhere else - especially given the quality and settings.
