Iluka Motel

We can't tell you about the staff because we didn't see anyone. We found this motel very comfortable. We had two rooms - a bedroom and well equipped kitchen living area. I particularly liked the leather sofa. There was a small outdoor courtyard which must be a grest asset in the wramer months. Everything was so cosy and comfortale we decided to stay in and cater for ourselves. So we can't comment about the cafes etc. The motel is obviously equipped for people staying to enjoy the beach and other natural attractions for longer than one night.

the apartment was a great size, having 2 single beds in the main area and a queen bed in a separate bedroom. I was able to connect to the internet and work without disturbing others. Kitchen and full sized fridge was also very handy. Centrally located, we were able to walk to cafes, restaurants, IGA, but her, bakery, and much more. Beaches were a short drive away - best thing about Iluka! The property also had a laundry and they were upgrading the Central BBQ facilities. parking was plentiful.

There was nothing to dislike about this property.

The hotel is well positioned about 18 kilometres off the highway so it is great for a short stay as a break to a long trip. The rooms are value for money - well appointed and comfortable. We have noticed continued improvement over the last few years since the hotel acquired new owners. The hotel is close to the river, beaches and shops. The owners are friendly and helpful.

I found staff to be helpful and very friendly. Being well into my senior years I struggled with understanding the operation of the TV; but was promptly and understandingly assisted by the Manager / Owner

I didn't like the request to fill out 2 or 3 sentences for this review, on things I didn't like when everything was excellent!

The room was spacious with a private courtyard. The separate bedroom had a very comfortable bed. The shower had good pressure. Only a two minute walk to the foreshore walk and very close to the Iluka - Yamba ferry as well. We walked along the foreshore to the pub (10min) for dinner and there was a shuttle bus if required. The motel staff were very happy to accommodate our request for a ground floor room.

We absolutely loved the location, so close to the river and Main Street! also walking distance to IGA and most of the other shops. Also loved the courtyard, free laundry and play area for the children!

The linen was a bit uncomfortable and the kitchen floor was dirty when we arrived, but other then that no complaints!

The staff are lovely and super helpful and accommodating. We had to check in at night and it was no problem, they went out of their way to have someone there to let us in. I also left my pillow behind, and the staff then arranged for me to pick it up on the way home, which was really helpful. The motel itself is exactly what we hoped - it was really clean and tidy, the TV had foxtel with plenty of channels to watch, a full-size fridge/freezer, kitchenette, separate bedroom for the parents, and even a little cooktop in the cupboard for those who want to cook while they are there. It's right near the water and national park walk.

It is right near the main road into town so in the mornings you can hear the cars driving past. It didn't bother us, but if you're looking for a secluded and quiet stay you might want to think about something more out of the way.

Walking distance to water front, shops. Really well equipped with appliances to cook your own meal, which most motels don't have.

Bed was a little hard, but that being said, I didn't wake up with sore hips, so maybe it was a good thing to try.

I loved that this motel was still very original, Brick walls and original bathroom. It was very clean, and felt like you were in the 70's. It suited the town's ambiance perfectly. The beds were very comfortable. And I liked having a full size fridge rather than a usual bar fridge. The check in procedure was easy with no staff being around and It being coordinated via phone link in. Great value for money.

Great place to stay for few days. Close to beaches and common bbq area with kids small sand pit was very helpful. Would like to visit again soon

Exhaust in the bathroom wasn't working but didn't bother us as it was a overnight stay.
