The Surf Yamba

The Surf Yamba is a beautiful place to stay, the accomodation is lovely, very stylish, with light and airy rooms, and comfortable beds. There is a lovely communal space on the top floor, where you can make yourself a coffee or tea. On the same level are 2 areas to bask in the sun and take in the view, and there is a small pool in one of the areas.

There was nothing I didn't like! The staff were all lovely and helpful and the manager let us stay in a room on the top floor with a sea view for no extra cost, as it became vacant on our last 2 days.

The Surf design is beautiful and thoughtful with quality finishes and touches throughout. It really is a treasure, located in the heart of Yamba. We loved our room with it’s beach views (of where we got engaged), comfortable facilities (including a dreamy bath), complimentary mini bar and robes. The top deck is amazing too! We frequented the heated pool, lounge chairs and balcony seating. We’re keen to attend a yoga class on the deck, when we’re next in town. Check-in and couldn’t have been smoother either. A truly special spot we can’t wait to return to. Thanks Garry and team!

The Surf, Yamba was a delightfully refreshing boutique accommodation. It's unique architecture and design was a pleasure to experience, with luxury details throughout. It's a modern and fresh adaptation of a motel style with the semi-open verandahs between rooms. We weren't there long enough to fully appreciate the roof terrace and guest lounge, but it was a nice space with sun lounges, and it also had complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits, not to mention the view. The room and bathroom was very comfortable and I'd be happy to go back.

There is limited parking on site, and there were no spaces available when we returned from dinner, and the nearest space to leave the car overnight was up the road. The lift is quite small and slow for such a new building. Apart from the weather, there wan't much to complain about.. except I was disappointed we only had one night.

We loved our stay at The Surf Yamba. After a mixup on check in, we were upgraded to a view over the beach. Such a beautiful stay and we felt so spoilt. We didn't want to leave! The room was large and comfortable and had so many luxurious touches. The bathroom was designed beautifully. We loved going up to the rooftop to enjoy the afternoon views. We borrowed beach chairs and easily walked across the road to enjoy the main beach all day. A job well done to all staff. Will definitely stay again!

The room had no view, which was disappointing for the price. A bath in the ensuite would have been nice and the ensuite was a bit small. Only found out that a food platter needed to be ordered 24 hours before it is required, and I don’t recall being made aware of this when booking the hotel. This was unfortunate as I only had one night at the hotel.

This is one of the nicest holiday rooms we have ever stayed in. The building is a recent construct, and no expense was spared on fitout. Modern furniture, excellent lighting, a fabulous small bathroom with a sliding shutter to the bedroom. A rooftop terrace and lounge added to the delight of The Surf. The tiny heated pool was a wonderful. The manager at reception was friendly and helpful. A mere 50m away is what must be the best restaurant in Yamba, run by three young French people.

The carpark under the building is not quite one per unit, but there's room on the street too. Sadly, the lift broke down for part of our stay.

This hotel was an absolute dream! beautiful design elements, friendly staff, GREAT location! everything is in walking distance to some of Yamba's best beaches, cafes and restaurants. We would come back again and again, incredible experience.

There wasn't one thing that we did not like. This property ticks every box! It's only Yamba's most ideal location with so much to see and do you wouldn't not want to miss an opportunity to stay in this beautiful hotel.

Attention to detail was incredible. When we checked in we were told that our room had been upgraded which was cool. Walking into the room and opening the bar fridge to see 2 cold beers was the best feeling ever after a 4 hour drive. This has to be the cleanest hotel I’ve been to, I’m very fussy with cleanliness and there was not one spec of dust. Everything was perfect. Even the tea provided in the mini bar was gorgeous!

The chic and very new boutique hotel is perfectly located within easy walking distance to Yamba's stunning main beach, some great cafes and pub with best views. Enjoyed chilling out on rooftop plunge pool and sundeck watching the dolphins playing in the surf. Took advantage of free tea/coffee and Byron Bay cookies in second rooftop lounge area. Room design was high quality, superclean, bathroom featured Leif products and big beautiful towels.

Limited ocean views from our bedroom on level 2, rooftop pool & lounges on level 3, no bedrooms on this higher level. We could see ocean over rooftop of smaller hotel beside us when standing up or outside on balcony. And rooftop facilities are weather dependent, luckily we got some enjoyment before La Nina arrived...again!!

The location was so close to the beach and the centre of Yamba. The decor and products were beautiful! The facilities including the rooftop pool, coffee/tea terrace, parking and all the finer details in the rooms exceeding my expectations.

I can't fault the experience. Worth understanding that some of the beach view rooms (incl. room 9 and 10) are somewhat obscured by the roof of the accommodation next door. I would recommend booking room 7 on level 2 (based on what I could see).
