The Stella

The location was perfect, we loved the ocean view, the staff were so friendly and helpful and a reserved parking right outside the apartment was a big plus! Apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Would 100% stay here again.

I didn't realise when I booked that it was a doublestory apartment which wasn't ideal with a toddler obsessed with stairs but luckily they are carpeted (just giving other parents a heads-up incase they aren't comfortable with babies and stairs) We didn't love that the apartment had so many entry doors (5 doors to be exact!!!). The patio seating area is in the carpark so not really usable, however, the communal garden area was nice to sit in for outdoor meals .

I thought everything about this place was excellent. The young lady at reception was extremely friendly and helpful. I had booked a single room which was extremely clean and comfortable. There is a communal kitchen, common rooms, pool table and outside sitting areas all in close proximity. I was travelling by bicycle and was allowed to keep the bike in the room, although a secure basement was also available if I wished. Wifi was available and worked well. There was a bar fridge in the room, together with tea/coffee making facilities. Cost was reasonable.

It would be beneficial if the room had its own microwave but, in saying that, one is available in the communal kitchen which was in close proximity.

it was a lovely location and the property was clean and very well maintained. it was good to have a large common area and kitchen. unfortunately the room was very small. there was absolutely nowhere to put things in the bathroom. it needs a little shelf in the bathroom above the rubbish bin beneath the power point. that would improve the bathroom area by about 75%. a room of that size doesn’t need two entrances. by closing one of the doors you would get more usable space. close off the door next to the bed and you could have more space around the bed and even a bedside table.

The location and staff were fabulous. Could do enough to make our stay pleasant. The apartment was clean and the view was spectacular. Tv in all areas and air conditioning worked well. Relaxed atmosphere right near the pub and beach.

The set out of the apartment was a bit limiting as the 2 bathrooms are ensuites so you need to pass through the bedroom to get to the toilets. Downstairs there is a reception desk in the living-dining area which is a bit strange. There is another fantastic living area upstairs anyway with a fantastic view so we did not spend much time downstairs anyway.

The accommodation is perfectly located. It is a short walk to the beach and to the town centre. It has beautiful ocean views on almost all sides and has convenient free parking. The room we had was perfect for a family. It had two separate rooms. One with two single beds and an ensuite bathroom. The other room is like a little studio apartment with kitchenette, dining area and double bed. There is also a larger bathroom (The two proper bathrooms were amazing to have). The accommodation also has other advantages such as free laundry facilities and games room. It was clean and comfortable and the lady at reception was incredibly friendly. Definitely recommend and wished we could have stayed longer.

We were so warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. The rooms were fresh and cosy and had everything we needed. The overall "vibe" was wonderful and we'd definitely stay again.

There was only one minor downfall and that's the the hall light that shined brightly into the room through the door cracks. I'm not used to sleeping with artificial light so it affected my sleep quite a bit. The second night we tried draping a towel over one of the cracks which helped a little. Not a big issue but did interfere with sleep a bit.

10/10 with the position and the absolute cleanliness if the unit (& it's facilities) was great. 8/10 grading - The only reason I have given the lower grade is that the room we had was extremely small, with only one bedside table and a Double bed. (In it's defence though, it is a converted Nun's Retreat, and some of the rooms are the original bedroom accommodation modernised to include an Ensuite, bar fridge and A/C)) This should not deter anyone from staying here though as it really is a lovely spot, close to beaches and restaurants, with gorgeous owners & staff. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

Only that the room was on the small side and did not have an Ocean view from the balcony as expected, but not enough to say don't go. This place is lovely, with lots of history and Zoe, you are a gem 👌👍

I had a single room, travelling on my own. It was perfect for what I needed. I had room 22 on the end so it was private, and not too noisy. Even had a view of the ocean from the balcony. The motel is close to everything and across the road from the Main Beach, and the Pacific Hotel which served excellent meals with a great ocean view. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and modern. I highly recommend.

I needed a bowl and spoon for cereal. I didn't use the common room so there may have been utensils in there.

The Stella was in a perfect location for me as it was across the road from the event I was attending. Zoe on reception was extremely helpful with changing my booking, showing me to my room and pointing out the available facilities (kitchen, pool room and private garden area). The room had a separate entrance onto the balcony and a private table to sit and enjoy the fresh air and the view. Zoe also helped with information on local cafes and her suggestion for brunch was excellent. I had a small single room which was perfect for my two-night stay.

This is beyond the control of management but other guests, returning to their room around midnight, made no attempt to keep their noise level down.

Location was great. Easy walk into town and several cafes, pubs and restaurants very close. No views from our balcony or room, but views immediately outside. The pool table and shared kitchen area was an added bonus, making the place suitable for groups or longer stays. Everything was comfortable, clean and quiet.

The ability to turn off the light immediately outside the room would be helpful, although I understand why it is the way it is. More onsite parking.
