Hunter Gateway Motel

We've stayed here before and will probably keep staying there when we go up, the place is always wonderful and the staff at the counter are really nice and very helpful, very clean. keep up the good work,

Unfortunately the beds weren't the best, kept sinking into the bed and ended up a bit sore, but still got our sleep which is the main thing

The location is close to a lot of attractions.It is extremely clean and comfortable.

We had the spa room however, the water pressure was terrible and it was not an enjoyable shower and took about 20 minutes or more to fill the spa up. It also takes a long time for the hot water to come through.We stayed a few days and it would be handy to have a microwave and toaster in the room.We had food we were unable to heat up. No designated parking spots.On arrival ours was taken so had to park a lot further away and lug all of our gear to our room.

The rooms were very clean. They have been refurbished and were comfortable to stay in. There is parking right in front of your room which made access very easy and ideal if there is elderly or disabled with you. The location is great and you could leave your car and walk to dinner at the hotel next door.

The bathrooms are lovely as they have also been refurbished. However, having a shower screen rather than a shower curtain would be much better as well as some shelving to put your toiletries on.

We arrived well after reception closed. However instructions to access our room keys was very clear and we had no trouble getting our keys and getting to our rooms. The rooms were very clean / the bed was excellent / all the usual amenities e.g. tea and coffee making facilities were there. The bathroom was spacious and the balcony out to the garden was very enjoyable to get some fresh air with privacy into our room. Only gave the staff a very good literally because I didn't see any staff during our one night stay. Good communication prior to our arrival and clear instructions for access were appreciated.

It was so quiet unlike a lot of other places around Maitland I have stayed at. Bed was very comfy. I have stayed at here almost 14 years ago and it has been well looked after in that time. Staff was very pleasant.

There was a very over powering cleaning product smell in the room. No cutlery or microwave was available in room.

I have been staying at another well known brand name motel in Maitland. I thought I would give the Hunter Gateway Motel ago and to my surprise they were excellent in every way. Location, facilities, parking and cleanliness of the room was excellent. I will certainly be coming back next time I’m in Maitland.

Clean and tidy, great facilities, perfect location everything you need is handy to the motel. Bonus the lady in reception was lovely, super helpful and gave us wonderful recommendations.

Only thing we didn’t like was the rubbish smell in the air outside when we arrived there on a Saturday.

Very clean and comfortable room, bathroom was perfect for elderly person. Was nice to sit outside on patio area for morning coffee.

Only half a roll of toilet paper provided for 2 night stay, didn’t restock when room serviced. Very obliging at reception in providing more though.

Easy to find. Parking at the door. Good food at the pub right next door. Our room was very quiet. Complimentary snacks and water a nice touch for the weary traveler.

A lockable screen door to the terrace would be a good thing for those who like sleeping with fresh air rather than air con.

Room was a good size. Bed ok. Was nice to have the outside space and enjoyed thr pool. Greatful it had loungers. Pub nextdoor does good ceoliac safe food

We meant to book newcastle and ended up here. Kinda funny and no ones fault but ours 😅 we enjoyed the stay and adventure no less
