Convenient and good value for money. spacious room and quiet

No PowerPoint in the shared bathroom and alternatively there was no mirror in the bedroom. Due to the age of the facility I would like to suggest full length mirrors be placed in the bedrooms near a PowerPoint. It allows for guests to dry and straighten hair and check their clothing is right before going out. Using the camera on selfie mode on a laptop really was not a good option.

We booked multiple rooms, and the staff ensured that our teen's room was beside ours. I'd contacted booking.com customer service early in the morning as my parents were meant to be coming with us (3rd room), but due to a medical emergency were no longer attending. It was, by contract, after the no- penalty cancellation, but the venue didn't get the email from customer support. They were lovely though, and didn't charge us for the 3rd room. Beautiful facilities too, lots of care has been put into maintaining this beautiful old hotel. Highly recommend!

Enormous portion sizes in the restaurant - I guess it isn't really a bad thing, but I couldn't eat it all and felt bad for wasting food. Tastes amazing though.

My room was decent sized, very comfortable and the king bed was fabulous. The room had just about every I needed and couldn't hear much noise from downstairs during dinner rush.

Only thing I can fault was there wasn't any cutlery, bowls for cereal in the rooms, this needed sourcing from downstairs. Any additional water needed to be obtained from downstairs or in bathroom.

Location and amenities. Everything clean and well managed. Friendly staff. Rooms comfortable clean and when companions TV wimped staff were quick to sort it out. Pleasant and functional and great value for money

Nothing - everything as expected

The rooms at the Royal are great value. They are a great size and clean. There is a large kitchen dining area to meet for a cuppa. It is quiet and so close to walk to everything, it is highly recommended and will definitely stay there again.

I would like real tea cups in rooms instead of paper cups, thats about all as everything else was great.

Lovely property with a clean room. Good food downstairs. Shared bathroom - but they are clean and easy to use.

No issues - music little noisy one night, but it stopped about 11, so was okay.

Clean Rooms and Bathrooms. Good Air Con. Microwave and somewhere to sit and eat. Great value for money.

Trains are loud from certain rooms. Microwave is in the function room which isn’t accessible every evening.

The bed was huge and so comfortable, it’s one of the most comfy I’ve ever slept in on holiday’s.. very clean, comfortable, great location and fantastic price staff were very accommodating. would highly recommend

Great bathroom facility, plenty shower pressure and hot water. Good working airconditioner and tv. Great central location and quiet. Great food and good service.
