Grand Manor Motor Inn

Hot breakfast of sausages, bacon, and eggs with toast was delicious and satisfying. Bed was roomy and comfortable if a little cold to get into initially. Bathroom was fine. Room was large with table and couch. Liked the kettle, microwave, and fridge as it made it easy to make a cup of tea or heat something I brought along.

The room next door was per friendly. For 2 nights I had at least one yappy dog next door. The people in that room seemed to have no consideration for others, as I heard the yappy thing many times early in the morning and late in the evening. Perhaps I am a bit old fashioned but I think people should leave their pets at home when they travel.

I travel to Queanbeyan/Canberra fortnightly, my regular hotel was booked out, so I decided to try out the Grand motor inn, great decision I made. Brilliant location, short 5 minute walk to the local club, shops, takeaways ect. Very homely rooms, nice and quiet, spacious. Couldn’t ask for much more for the money. Added bonus was the bath tub.

Opened the guest guide to find a baby cockroach, more pest control would be good. And a little supply of milk in the fridge would be handy, after a long drive a coffee was definitely needed. 🙂

The motel had everything I look for that is often missing - good bedside reading lights, quiet a/c, extra mirror outside the bathroom, good counter space in the bathroom, plenty of pillows, and a plug for the sink. Plus it was clean and comfortable and quiet once the evening peak hour was over.

The hot water was a bit tricky to get flowing, I had one tepid shower until I figured out that you had to turn the hot on full blast to get it to flow. Then it was great.

Fresh bathroom, somewhere to sit at a table plus on a small couch, PowerPoints either side of the bed for charging devices or a CPAP machine.

Inside the drawers holding crockery and cutlery it was very tired and therefore looked grotty - could do with fresh contact lining. Also could do with supplying tea towel and detergent to properly clean used crockery and cutlery.

Friendly staff open to ideas. Nothing was a bother to them. Breakfast was great, the room was nice and enough room for our family of 5. Beds were comfortable. Parking off street and plenty.

Possibly have the option of sauce and S& P with breakfast opinion. This really is a me problem. Only other small thing is the fridge was viey noisy through the night. Again really a me problem nothing to do with quality of the service or rooms.

Beautiful canvas print across bed head. Thought I was on an island somewhere exotic. Nice bathroom. Have noted this room no and will ask for room again next visit Great location! Beautiful river walk that loops around by crossing lovely suspension bridge. Shops and fast food near by. Amazing Mexican Restaurant right on river. All within easy walking distance.

Friendly staff, well kept, clean and close to shops and takeaway food.

l was disappointed to come back Monday night 8.30pm and car park was pretty full. with like tradies cars. we s quizzed into a park, near the office. as we had a a hirer car l wasn’t overly confident by my hubby got it in. It also was a little noisy and cars parked in front of steps making hard to get your self and cases into rooms.

Very handy to Canberra which is where I was aiming to stay. As a friend suggested Queanbeyan is a great location that is more economical and has good cafes and restaurants. I was going to be driving to the places of interest anyway (EV). The motel was very clean and tidy, close to a major thoroughfare but a quiet area, plenty of good parking. Helpful & courteous staff & they were happy to allow me to top up my EV's charge from a handy 10amp outlet. I will be back.

The staff were lovely. I had received some bad news the night before and had not slept well (bed was comfy, etc - it was the bad news that kept me awake). I rang reception in the morning and asked if we could check out a little later and they allowed us to stay until 11am. I was very grateful.

Nothing really. It was budget accomm but it was what we needed for the night.

I arrived late, they called to check and then texted me the details on how to go to our room. I was driving, couldn’t do much, only replied once I got there and went into the room. Excellent communication from the team, making my travel so easy. From booking, checking in and checking out, all easy. Thank you.

Toilet/bathroom fan was a bit noisy, but we don’t use it all the time.
