Queanbeyan Motel

Motel was pet friendly and only a short flat walk to all the amenities of Queanbeyan. The room was clean and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the kettle that worked failed at dinner to boil water. Was replaced promptly by a brand new kettle the next morning. We had misplaced some medical tablets and I was phoned shortly after our departure they had found a packet of tablets when they were cleaning. We were pleased and returned to pick up the tablets.

The microwave oven has a very low capacity so it took longer to reheat and heat food items than expected. The hooks on the back of the bathroom door are very very small so the towels kept falling off. Towel hooks just need to be a bit bigger in size.

Conveniently located. Clean standard size room with a choice of two beds.

I arrived for check in approximately 10pm. Reception was closed with no buzzer/bell outdoors to notify staff although they list Receptionas closing at 23:30. After standing outside for a short while after phoning the hotel (straight to voicemail), a staff member came to do the necessary paperwork. He left me standing outside in the cold for several minutes more before allowing me into Reception to pay & collect the key. A different staff member was much more welcoming when I returned the key in the morning.

The Motel was small yet very clean and comfortable! The facilities are superb and I’ve enjoyed my two nights of stay there. The rates were also far lower compared to the bigger hotels in CBD Canberra. I booked very late via booking.com from Brisbane International Airport and hoped on a cab straight and the reception was phenomenal!

I also liked the customer services and the friendliness was awesome. I will return and spend at least a week later this year and I intend to bring my wife too. I also would like to recommend the Hotel to any other guests who might want to stay there in the near future.

The room was clean, tidy and fresh. There was a park close by for walking our pup. The gentleman on reception was pleasant, helpful and accommodating.

We didn't like : -the noise from neighbours, or the sound transfer from the plumbing. :-the tariff to have our pup with us. We provide her bed and she doesn't use any of the facilities. I am happy to provide the substantial security in case there is damage , but find additional fees annoying.

Well located, very clean, accessible and comfortable. Solid night's sleep in a decent bed. Room cleaned and towels nice a fresh. Cutlery and crockery a huge plus. Will be back.

Not the Motels responsibly but I like to park out of the front of my room as I carry tools. However other guests don't feel the same way so although it feels secure enough, not being able to relax my paranoia as I'm 2 spaces away makes me itch.

The room was equipped with all household appliances that I needed, which made my stay very comfortable. The motel was also located near supermarkets and restaurants.

The motel location was the biggest problem, since it was quite far from Canberra. In addition, the public transport between Canberra and Queanbeyan (the location of the motel) was also very limited in terms of frequency.

We loved the location, the beds were exceptionally comfy. Also we booked in very last notice and the room was very clean and the staff member was a pleasure to deal with.

• There could be more parking • There seemed to be temperature issues with the shower, it either went too hot or too cold. • In the shower, the window constantly lets in wind or breeze from outside which makes the bathroom door rattle and is freezing whilst taking a shower.

It did not include breakfast, which I am fine with. Supplied microwave, very comfy bed, shops a short walk away. Manager very obliging and took an interest in assisting your stay.

I wasn't that happy having to step over into the shower. Was concerned with tripping/ slipping.

a super clean, renovated room awaited us after a fast check-in. A room of decent size and appropriately equipped. Bed of excellent quality.

The place seemed electrically challenged: The tv did not work and the manager was unable to fix the problem. One reading lamp above the bed did not work at all, the other lamp blinked flash-like for five minutes before emitting a regular light. Too many electric gremlins for one motel room!

The manager filling in for other manager whilst away was a little grey haired pocket rocket. She was full of info & guided us to a great meal up at the Queanbeyan Hotel. Will put on our list of places to stay for further appointments to specialists in Canberra. Thankyou..... 💝
