Hamilton's Queanbeyan Motel

Incredible hosts. Friendly and most welcoming helpful Staff. Whatever you asked for, you received it, if not more. The most comfortable beds you could ever sleep or dream on. The rooms were so clean and catered to your every need. The showers washed away all your troubles if you had any. Water pressure and heat were incredibly immeasurable. A++ accommodation. 100% voted as our #1 motel in Queanbeyan. Home away from home.. Thank you, Hamilton Motel ❤️

This is just being so picky, and if I have to put anything forward.. I would say the bathroom rubbish bin is too small.. but it's not.

Good size house. Well appointed. Good off street parking for a couple of cars. Our bed was very comfortable. Once the external blinds were put down at night it was easier to keep the house warm - it was a very cold weekend and took a while to heat the house, but toasty once warmed up. Good kitchen space to cook in. Could do with an extra saucepan. Big back yard. Did not use the laundry but was well equipped with washing machine and detergent.

The house had bedding for 6 but only one three seater lounge. Cleaning equipment needed to be accessible to sweep floor. BBQ non functional. Toilet is seperate but located through the only bathroom.

The room was very clean and spacious for 3 people (2 adults and a teenager). The bathroom was large, clean and we were provided nice toiletries. The staff were very friendly and even cleaned our breakfast dishes left over from our first night stay (this was unexpected). The hotel was close to the main strip of shops and restaurants in the area, but far enough away that it was quite peaceful.

The mini fridge was not very cold (we stored some drinks in it overnight, but they did not come out very cold) and while the large double bed was comfortable, it was a little too soft - made it a little difficult for us to sleep, as we were sinking into the middle of the bed together.

Rooms had good proportions and well laid out in all aspects, and appeared fresh as if recently renovated. Good sized bathroom and shower with good water flow, quality amenities. Kitchenette had all you would need for a short stay, and a good refrigerator and microwave oven. Included WiFi quality was very good, both in terms of signal strength and actual throughput. All in all, a pleasant surprise. Units had individual RC/AC. Staff good. Multiple charging stations available for electric vehicles.

Location isn't especially central.

Upon arrival, my first impression was “what an awesome place”. Delightfully, it was one of those rare occasions when a first impression was accurate. Following the usual formality of registration and advised which room had been allotted to me, my first impression of the outside continued upon opening the room’s entrance. You were met with an exceptionally spacious room, very tastefully furnished, which included a sofa, table and chairs, a work bench and large comfortable bed. It also had large windows allowing for fabulous observations of visiting Galahs and Sulphur Crested Cockatoos as interested in knowing who was watching them as they of you. The bathroom was sufficiently large and lacked nothing, including daily replacements of toiletries. The only (perhaps very pedantic) issue was the location of the shower head which for a tall person such as me, required some knee squats to wash head and hair. The towels, however, were actually longer than me. Did not have a guest laundry but was very kindly permitted to use the Motels own laundry facilities. Located a little way from the town centre, requiring a five-minute drive (or twenty-minute walk). Excellent free Wi-Fi.

Perhaps a more adjustable shower head.

What's not to like. The staff were very welcoming and kind. We were upgraded to a family room which has a kitchenette with everything you need. The beds were very comfortable with electric blankets for those cold Canberra nights. The room was spotless and a generous size. We were provided with lovely large bath towels and nice toiletries. The bathroom is quite large for a small motel. Excellent value for money, and this will definitely be our motel of choice when visiting Canberra in the future.

The team are very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, comfy bed, but on a softer side, looooots of storage space, well equipped and clean bathroom, nice soft and clean towels, kitchenette had essential crockery and cutlery, a microwave and a toaster. The usual tea, coffee, sugar, and a nice small packet of long-life milk, which is way better than those tiny packets. And, biscuits is a nice touch. Our request for the quietest room possible was fulfilled. Great communication. I asked for some more milk, which was provided, with a smile. As this motel is located along a busy road, traffic noise is quite loud during the day. However, at night is way quieter, and with closed windows it's hardly audible. We had a window open at night, and it didn't bother us, possibly because we were very tired, though.

No negative comments, but rather wishlist/suggestions. Perhaps, add a little more kitchen utensils, like a bread knife, a chopping board and a salad bowl. Also, a lighter blanket for summer, which will save a lot on the motel electricity bill. Our superior room didn't have a small table to have breakfast at, so this is another item to consider, since the room has space.

Staff were friendly. The room has been tastefully modernised. The kitchenette was stocked well enough for a short stay. Bathroom was very clean and towels were lovely and soft. The toiletries smelled very nice. Parking was great and there are electric vehicle chargers on site.

I was upstairs which may not suit someone with mobility issues but there are rooms on the ground floor if required.

Gorgeous 3 bedroom house, newly renovated. Very clean and spacious for our 5 person family. Kitchen was well equipped and the backyard is massive. Easy access to the heart of Canberra.

I did suggest a mirror in the main bedroom to ease the process of 'getting ready'. And the sofa space in the loungeroom was quire minimal considering it sleeps up to 6 people.

The room needs thicker curtains, the sheet lights kept me up all night, the fridge was very noisy which also kept me awake and lastly the room was very dirty. Your cleaning staff need to clean behind the beds and windows so much dirt and dust. S Staff members were very polite, and Welcoming. Thank you For having us at your motel :)
