River Motel

I loved how clean and neat everything was in the rooms. The bathroom was properly stocked for 4 guest, so we did not have to go around asking for extra toiletries - which was great. The staff was good, they were very cordial and willing to help. I would definitely rent here again.

We did not have access to the wifi password until the office was open (8 am to 6.pm). There was no paper in the room with the password on it and we checked-in after the office was already closed. This can be solved by asking for it ahead of time if you know you are checking in later in the evening, we were just not aware it was going to be an issue.

Location was ideal for our stay as it was between Canberra and the suburbs, easy exit south or north - allowed us to bypass the full city circle of the capital. Bedding arrangements, ideal for those who want privacy amongst family. Kitchen and Bathroom very well maintained, clean, neat and tidy despite the slightly outdated setup. Garage provided for separate guests and reception staff were very accommodating on arrival. TV had multiple channels, netflix and Youtube (ideally for those who want to look at anything apart from news). Full functional aircon especially for the extreme cold weather. Kitchen facilities and storage were very appropriate and adequate. Ideally fit 3, although a sofa could cover 4 pp.

Backup staff was bit mystified when we asked for assistance. Batteries for TV and aircon may need to be checked each time. Possible issue due to guests mis-use. Cups were undersize for decent cuppa.

Our room was spotless with quality linen. The value for money was exceptional, and the location perfect - the beautiful Queanbeyan River just across the road. A short walk to a great outdoor/ indoor Mexican restaurant overlooking the river with lots of happy people. Other restaurants are just a short walk over the bridge. It was a perfect stay for my daughter and me. I can highly recommend this motel. Check in and check out so easy. We will certainly book again.

Set by a peaceful river in the town and close by to many locations. Rooms very reasonably priced for our 2 night stay during October long weekend. Clean, tidy, comfortable and all basic amenities provided in the room. Room and accessories fully functional and nothing stained or broken like you sometimes find. Plenty of power sockets, easy to reach.

Really nothing to describe here. Some people didn't like the 95% block out blinds but they were only a minor quirk for us.

Room Facilities the room is neat and clean, the location was good close to shops an eateries. Also short drive to Canberra

The bed lamps look nice but are virtually usless as they glare into your eyes if trying to read. Kitchenette area would be better to use if their was a seperate light. The bathroom fan is exeptionally noisy which is a particular feature of this style of fan/light. Also regular inspection by a service person to review such features as cistern continuously leaking in toilet bowl, shower water onto bathroom floor, basin is cracked and water splashes over side of bowl. We were happy with our stay and impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the items above are easy to correct and would make your motel a better place to stay.

The location was great, and we were able to walk to the golf club and into town. The room we ended up with was clean and spacious, and the staff member at reception was friendly and helpful

Received a text message stating the room was ready and details of how to get the key for the initial room, when arrived, git the jet and the room was dirty and hadn't been made up from the previous guests. This initially gave us some uncertainty

Quiet and well equipped for the price. Obviously recently updated, the unit was very clean and comfortable. Situated away from traffic and main road noise, with easy parking (under cover). Was good to have fridge and plates, bowls etc, plus microwave, as well as kettle and toaster.

A mirror in the bedroom would be a good addition. The unit would be unsuitable for anyone who could not manage stairs as it sits on the floor above the garages.

The location and the beds were comfortable. We also liked the kitchenette facilities as it made it easy with a family. The key pick up was also a bonus as we arrived late.

The bathroom was not designed well. Room 24 which we were in had on overhead shower head which flooded the bathroom as the shower screen was not sealed enough and the fall of the floor was not compatible with the screen type . We had to clean it up with towels in the room

Clean and comfortable in a spacious room. Quiet location across the river fron Queanbeyan Leagues Club. If you want to eat dinner there on a Saturday night I suggest you book a table. Very centrally located. Quite a few fast food places and pubs within walking distance. There is also a shopping centre diagonally across the river. Check in was hassle free even though you don't get to speak to anyone.

Not the motel's fault but noisy, inconsiderate patrons in the middle of the night/early morning. I miss the face-to-face communication when checking in but that's just a personal preference.

the room I was in, had a lounge dining area with a spa. a separate bathroom and a large bedroom with comfortable mattress and pillows. the fridge freezer and microwave were very handy additions. Annette the manager is great. the property is across the road from the league’s club. you cross a footbridge which runs along the main road to get there. excellent food at the restaurant there.

There was nothing bad about the place even though they are renovating downstairs for the next six months but it’s unobtrusive and doesn’t affect other people staying there.
