175 Hotel Westmead

It felt like home as soon as I arrived. The accomdstion, restaurant and grounds were beautiful and relaxing. The staff went out of their way to be super helpful accommodating my special needs and making sure everything was perfect. Also, I appreciated the low fragrance in room post cleaning. I have a bad fragrance allergy and have previously been sick because of strong Fragrances in motel rooms, especially in the bathroom. I also liked the little things that paid attention to details. It was good to have a small selection of plates, bowels, muugs and cutlery. Another thoughtful touch that a sponge was provided to wash up with.

The bed was a little bit hard for me. I like a super soft bed, but perfect for my husband. You can't have it both ways though!

The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, fresh milk and biscuits supplied on arrival. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Our room was located on second floor. I have mobility issues but there is a lift and walk-in shower. The location is a short walk to the railway station. There is no in-house dining/breakfast facilities but reception recommended a great cafe, Cafe Leaf, across the road, which I highly recommend as well. There was secure free car parking.

I only had an overnight stay - late arrival and early departure - I found nothing to dislike.

A very convenient location for us as we needed to attend Westmead Hospital early in the morning, the free parking was also an advantage as we didn't have to pay for parking at the hospital. The family room, whilst on the small side, had everything we required. The room for being at the front of the property was still quiet.

The room price was relatively high for the type and quality of the room. Access to the site is quite tricky due to the light rail construction; there is no direct access, and one has to perform various maneuvers to gain access. I realise this may not be the fault of the hotel entirely, but they should consider access from the side street where currently you can only exit.

The rooms were cleaned daily, the free parking was wonderful and having a 24 hour check-in really helped us when we needed to leave Sydney early. Despite being so close to the hospital the room was quiet and comfortable every day of our stay. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the disability access was also good. Having access to room service, shops and restaurants a short walk away made this location excellent.

Convenient location for access to Westmead hospitals. Only a short walk to the train station and a short ride to Parramatta Westfield via train. Staff are absolutely lovely and more than happy to help. They always have smiles on their faces! The room I stayed in was mostly comfortable and very clean. The room was a good temperature for me without having the heater on.

Thin walls. If you have sleeping difficulties(getting to sleep and staying asleep), bring earplugs. Fridge was very noisy too. That might just be me and my sleeping issues though.

Location was so perfect for us as it was within walking distance to Westmead children’s hospital. The welcoming staff were something of a 5star hotel anywhere! They could not do enough for us and were so helpful, accommodating, thoughtful, Knowledgeable of questions that we had, were able to recommend eateries nearby and overall pretty much the most helpful kind staff I have ever encountered!! This alone made it feel like an even more comfortable stay. Could not recommend more this hotel if you are wanting a clean convenient hotel with the best staff around!

I’m sure it will be such an advantage to this hotel when the tram line is finalised out the front - this being said, we did not hear anything during the night despite work being in full swing!

The room was nice and silent, protected from the noise of the traffic It was clean and what I wanted in the room. It wasn't as close to where I was needed to be for the weekend, but the savings were terrific and I had access to someone driving so it didn't matter. \

I was quite satisfied with the faciites and the staff. Maybe the signs to the area where I needed to go could have been a little better, but I managed.

The staff were amazing. Close to everything we needed! Allowed us to leave our car a little longer while we attended appointments. Extremely comfortable facilities. The peace and quiet was good too.

Access to food and a information booklet to inform closest facilities especially eateries and times they are open would have been great.

Everything from the booking to checkout was done with ease. Staff were amazing and prompt. Room exceeded are needs. Room service and food was amazing. Being able to stay parked on sight for the day was a brilliant and affordable offer I couldn’t refuse. Thank you for making us feel at home

Comfortable bed. I always like a complimentary biscuit. The next morning I needed to catch the train into Sydney for a very low fee they were happy for me to leave the car in the secure parking - very grateful.

The building isn’t very attractive but it’s certainly the case of not judging a book by the cover 😊
