Meriton Suites Church Street, Parramatta

Location was perfect. Right by the river, lots of restaurants. Selected the Meriton due to the walkable position. Loved all the windows, balcony, good sized kitchen. Staff were all wonderful and helpful. Was in Parramatta for a training course and really appreciated being able to leave my car there for an extra few hours.

I found the bed a little too hard. I think in the second room (which I was in), a queen size would have been a better fit. There was really no room between the bed and the balcony doors. Although the furniture in the lounge area was beautiful, it would be appreciated if there was at least one chair with a high back to allow you to relax while watching tv. Our kitchen didn’t have any forks in the drawer so we ate our dinner with spoons (couldn’t get through to reception as they were flat out checking in a soccer? team). Not a complaint, just pointing out that these things need to be checked when getting rooms ready for the next guests.

interior was well designed and very comfy, plenty of room for a family! close to shops and restaurants.

very confusing when we turned up with all the no parking signs and impatient people beeping so we were very unsure where to stop for check in! some facilities were not working and the “family” units had no cooking pots and pans and not enough plates/cups etc for the amount of people for the unit! the parking gates on the ramp clipped my side mirror when I was trying to get up the ramp to the card station as I didn’t realise they are wider at the end!

The apartment was spectacular. Spacious, sunny aspect and views to rave about. The bed was extremely comfortable and the living areas were bright and sunlit. Rona from reception gets a special mention as her ability to problem solve with the guest at the core of thinking, thank you.

Check in was a completely unsatisfactory as the time it took aged me 10 years. Either staff need to be retrained or the room allocation and guest details data base needs urgent overhaul. Only one lift was working on Thursday unacceptable with the volume of guests. Also, ringing late check out guests at 10am to hurry them up was silly, unprofessional and left a bad taste in the mouth

The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Parramatta. The rooms were beautiful and modern, loved that there was a balcony. Hotel parking was easily accessible, and reasonably priced. Staff were pleasant.

Unfortunately during our stay there was an issue with the elevators, with several being out of order. It was a very busy weekend in Sydney with various events happening, so the line up to get to our room was very long when we checked in, and we ended up having to take the stairs up 14 levels with all our luggage. But we realise this would not be an issue normally, it was just bad timing, and it did get fixed during our stay. One of the bathrooms, although clean, had long black hair all over the wall on the shower tiles, which was not nice to walk into.

Clean big room s. Lovely bathroom s . Chrome cast excellent . 2 bedrooms perfect . Though 3rd bedroom locked and light left on all night freaked out the kids . No booklet instructions . Would have been easier for us . Like old school .

Fridge was not on whole time so no cold water or drinks . Had to throw out my dips and cheese . We only stayed one night and were out until midnight so thought it might get cold overnight but nope we woke up a hot fridge again then we checked out . Couldn’t work out aircon for bedroom . So was hot in my room

the rooms were very spacious and the air conditioner worked really well that i had to turn it down. i liked how there was a separate aircon controller for the bedroom as well. the room was quiet enough from level 25. the room had everything that was needed and staff were very accommodating.

upon arriving there were other guests who mentioned that their rooms needed extra cleaning. i felt that the floors were dirty and the toilet hadn't been properly cleaned. personally, i felt the pillows were too soft and the sheets covering the quilt kept removing themselves when sleeping. the iron had yellow fluid coming out of it most likely from lack of use.

Spacious apartment with everything you need dryer & washer. TV in lounge as well as master bdrm. Wifi was great-also gym and pool/sauna/spa. A great variety of restaurants in walking distance-we caught the water ferry to see the Sydney Opera house. Carpark was $30per night..we paid $2700+ for the 2bdrm apartment bit pricey but there was a lot going on with Fiba womens world cup and NRL grandfinals (15min by car) Also we were busy with daughters bball tournament all day- came back and house keeping had done a fabulous job cleaning up.

Could use more pots/pans..and a little pricey. Their lifts system took a while.

Our flight was cancelled but we were able to retain our booking. We were offered a change of room to the 25th floor so we enjoyed a spectacular view of Parramatta. We asked if it was possible to have a shower chair and one was provided very promptly. Thank you. Reception arranged taxis for us which made things easier.

Apartment 2511. The detergent dispenser in the dishwasher was broken. The kitchen sink plug didn't keep the water in. I asked a staff member if there was recycling and was told no but when I went to the rubbish room at the end of our stay there was a recycling bin in there.

The entrance to the suites is in a lane way beside a construction site. Just had to be observant to pick your way in. We were lucky and stayed on the 27th floor which was above any noise from construction site (new museum). Very good view to the city and out across Parramatta. Everything was easy to access and use. Very good bath rooms. Our stay was enjoyable. Eating was easy as there were restaurants within 80 meters overlooking the river. The staff were excellent, very helpfull and able to look after our needs no worries.

Nothing, all was good.

The staff were amazing! What was initially a disappointing experience, the neighbours in the apartment nextdoor had their music on full blast and no consideration for anyone. When I made it known to staff, the wonderful Hotel Manager was able to resolve my anxieties and issues to keep the peace and upgraded our room from a 1 bedroom apartment on level 15 into a 2 bedroom luxury suite on level 33 effective immediately!!! Everything was amazing, the staff, the rooms and facilities especially the location - near all the lovely restaurants. We didn't need to use a car.
