Location was fabulous. They upgraded us from a twin private to a triple private which was unexpected.

There is no refrigerator. More signs on the second floor for toilets.

Great location, close to the tram stop, Capitol Theatre, not far from Central Station and The Rocks. Nice and clean, and well decorated throughout. Despite the whole area being very busy and the hostel having a lot of guests,, the room I was given was pretty quiet, even with the window open. There where activities for the guests to enjoy together, free hot dog nights, games and such like.

The fan in the room was so high up at the ceiling that it couldn't be felt when laying in the bed, especially as I'd been given a twin room with a bunk bed. Nowhere to hang clothes. The kitchen/dining area appeared to be a bit small for the size of hostel.

The staff were wonderful! Enjoy the Dragonball cards. But of an ND bomb for you but I'm Neurodiverse (ASD 1 & Bipolar-2) these guys were the best, super welcoming! Hence the Dragonball cards it was a little bit of a look into my world. The events during Mardi Gras were great. My room was great, nice and private. Kitchen was great and the dining areas were very nice and clean.

Mardi Gras itself was fairly lackluster but the parade didn't start until 8pm so not really your fault. The benches were not so great on the back though.

The room is simple. Has the basics amenities. Location is superb. Short walk to Sydney Central station. In CBD area. Walking distance to almost everything i.e; Sydney Harbour, Darling Harbour, shoppings at Pitt St, George St, Chinatown, etc. Staff is super friendly. The have loads of group activities going (game night, movie night, picnics). This is the second time I stayed here.

I like everything about this place. It may not be the fanciest place to stay, but I do appreciate the experience that comes with it. Maybe one comment on the checkout time. 10 am might be a bit too early for some. Perhaps checkout time can be slightly later (11ish perhaps). TQ

Almost everything, very convenient and good value for money. Staffs are great very helpful, bathroom and toilet is clean too

No stair 🤣 but it's not too bad at all , just make not too many bags , luggage etc. There should have a special area for after hours dining as we couldn’t eat or drink in the room but I understand the place is very busy and could get very noisy while some people try to sleep 😅 also it could get very noisy from the street outside so make sur bring your ear plugs too. other than that everything is good and I'll go back again 😊

I went in with low expectations considering the reviews but this was a great hostel! I stayed in a private room and was impressed with the shared shower facilities. The common area was not noisy after 11pm as they close the kitchen area each night so I had no issues with noise. The deck area and study area were good for me to work remotely for the week - also great wifi speeds. Great location close to everything, central station, restaurants and coles.

The fridges closing at 11pm was a little annoying as I often got back to the hostel too late to get my food into the fridge. Would be good if there were powerpoints outside on the deck for working on my laptop for longer.

The location was definitely the biggest plus, followed by the great price point. Though the place is slightly older than in the photos, it still is quite accurate to what you see. There are daily event that take place so its a good place to meet new people if you are travelling alone. Although we only used the microwave to reheat food, the kitchen does get quite energetic and crowded during meal times, it was a nice vibe with lots of good energy. Walls are quite sound proof, and beds were surprisingly comfortable. There was ALWAYS hot water available, but proportionately more men then women, so men's toilet and shower were full more than the women's. Would definitely recommend, especially if you're on a budget, but not really for people who are super picky. Right opposite world square which has some shopping, food and grocery shop We rode motorcycle/scooter so there was some free parking a few streets down, or you can park at Secure Parking - Goulburn Street Car Park

Not much to say here. Just wish the lights didn't turn off automatically in the toilets, which happened a few times while I was showering (women). There is also no lift, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. The train/metro station is about 5 min away, and there is some up/downhill, so just something to take note.

Overall a good hostel whilst visiting Sydney. We stayed for a week in a private double room, the bed was comfy and the room came with a bedside table and hooks for jackets/towels. It was a little noisy as we were right by the main road, but closing the window overnight helped. The hostel is kept clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. They have lots of free food on offer during the week, the hostel is also right next to some great Thai restaurants as well as Maloneys hotel which offers cheap meals. The bathrooms are pretty clean, I feel some guests were quite messy in the ladies but not the hostels fault. The only real issue is the showers; my bf has to queue for the men’s showers a few times as there is only one shower block on the 2nd floor. On the last two days of our stay the ladies 2nd floor showers ran out of hot water and had poor water pressure, but they were fine for the first part of our stay.

It was cheap. All I wanted was somewhere to sleep and not spend any more than I had to. However, I have minimum standards (the bed must be reasonably comfortable, the room comfortable to sleep in, etc) and those minimum standards were met. I slept well, it was a comfortable stay and the private room was exactly that. Plus location near Central station was superb. THey also offered free luggage storage so when I arrived Sydney early AM I was able to dump my luggage there, go off to my all day event and then return late at night, check in and then go to sleep. I would go there again easily.

It wasn't the most fancy of locations and it was a little bit rundown, however you get what you pay for. It didnt matter that much to me (all I needed was somewhere to lay me down to rest and sleep well) - room was comfortable, bed was good, sheets were clean and I slept well. That and I saved lots of $$$.

I was a little nervous before staying because of the negative reviews but it completely surpassed all of my expectations!! I loved staying here!! Free and fast wifi throughout, I had no problems with the internet at all and was able to have video meeting for my job in my room with no issues. I asked for a quiet room and reception sorted this out for me no problem!! No noise from the road or kitchen or game room at all. The bathroom was always spotlessly clean and I never had to wait for a shower or toilet even though it was fully booked during my stay. The location is absolutely perfect. I miss it already!!

It was the hottest day in Sydney for the past 2 years during my stay and the fan in my room just didn’t help 😅 AC would’ve been nice but for the price of the room I can’t complain.
