Song Hotel Sydney

We stayed for four nights and had a very pleasant stay. Check in was done online and therefore very easy ! The rooms are spacious and have everything you could need. Bathrooms are clean, small but enough for a city trip. Rooms were cleaned daily. Only the beathroom sink wasn’t cleaned enough for our feeling. Everything else was great. Breakfast was the same everyday but with a good choice of cereal, warm dishes , bread, fruit and vegetables. Public transportation was just a 2 min walk away and the Hyde park right next to the hotel was quite nice.

Cleaning of the bathrooms could have been a bit better. More variety at breakfast would have made it absolutely perfect, but everything they had was delicious !

The bed and pillows were really comfortable! Great choice of food at breakfast. Despite a couple of minor issues, I'd recommend this hotel, especially for the central location.

There was a strong smell of mould when entering the room which probably came from the bathroom. There was also no sound isolation at all. Our room was in front of the elevator and we could hear anyone walking or talking in the corridor. If anyone in the room above us took a shower or went to the toilet, we could ear it from our room and was a bit annoying. Also, one day we had to leave quite early for a day tour and we asked to have breakfast half an hour before the usual start time, but the staff was not able to accommodate this request. We would have appreciateed more flexibility or provided with an alternative, such as in room service or voucher since the price of the breakfast was included in our price.

Good location. Walking distance to the museum and other attractions. There are lots of eateries on Oxford Street, which was close by.They also provided breakfast. Breakfast options were good. Storage locker available after check out. It helped us as our flight was in the evening. Tea and coffee are provided in the room. They also have a mini fridge.Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

I wish it was a bit better soundproofed. As sometimes we could hear the flushing sound or the sound of a shower being used from the room beside us.

Superb location for exploring all of the city. Walking distance to most landmarks. Close to Museum and Central station, buses and 10min walk to light rail. Breakfast was superb for our needs with an infant. Plenty of options and gave us a great start to the day. All the staff were friendly and helpful at reception and breakfast. Holding our luggage after an early arrival into Sydney was very useful! Rooms were very good for us on both both stays and beds were great.

Rooms were a little noisy but not a major issue, didn't disturb us at night or our infant.

All in all a really nice hotel. Great bed and bathroom, really great breakfast, helpful staff. Handy location for the CBD, Surry Hills and more. Wish we’d stayed for longer!

Our room felt a little on the small side compared to other places I’ve stayed in in Aus but you get what you pay for and I guess Sydney’s a bit more expensive than other places! Renovation work was happening on our floor, we didn’t experience any disturbances but one of the lifts was lined with board and being used for the construction work which might have put off fancier people than us.

The Song Hotel was ideal for our needs during a short stay in Sydney. We had a triple room which was quite large, comfortable and clean. The breakfast next was good, plenty fruit, cereals, bread for toasting, pastries, juices and teas / coffees. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. They stored our bags on our early arrival and we were able to access our room earlier than expected when it had been cleaned. Furthermore, having left the hotel, I discovered I had left my IPad and Kindle in the bedroom. I contacted the Hotel Staff who confirmed that they had my items and they were good enough to keep them safely for me until my return to Sydney when I was able to collect them. I also believe that profits from the Song Hotel go to YWCA Australia to help fund programmes for vulnerable women and children dealing with domestic violence.

A big thank you to all the staff at Song Hotel for making our stay comfortable and welcoming. Travelled to Sydney for a two-week period all up but needed flexibility with room size and booking dates throughout this time. The staff were very helpful and accommodating of our changing needs. All the staff from Management, reception to dining room and maintenance were a pleasure to deal with. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was lovely and with enough variety to suit everyone. A special thank you to Ibrahim, Bijay, Sanjay, Kizza and Anna for taking the stress out of our accommodation needs and for ensuring stay was an enjoyable one.

This motel is modern, clean, and in a central location. The room we had appeared to be recently renovated. The bed was comfortable and we got a good sleep due to the block out curtains. A good continental breakfast was included in the price. Previous reviews stated the breakfast was not that good. Must be really fussy guests. There’s cereals, fruits, toast, croissants, pastries, Bircher muesli with yoghurt, and an espresso machine making a wider range of coffees I’ve had in a motel cafe. The motel is close to the train stop for Museum. Central train station is not far from the motel.the motel is just around the corner from a central road so it’s quiet yet still in the CBD. Hyde Park is just over the road.

Friendly staff. Good communications. Perfect location for light rail to Allianz. Parking was cheap on the weekend though a couple of blocks away. Hotel said they'd validate the ticket for a discount, but we'd left it in the car and it wasn't worth going back to get it Room was very comfortable and we slept well.

Emails from Song seemed numerous and I struggled to find the ones I needed in the noise. No tables left at breakfast. Either occupied or reserved. Food looked OK, but we decided to get in with our trip. Sydney was booked out and so our last minute booking was a bit more $$ than I'm used to. Very small issues compared to our general appreciation of the Hotel

Close to train and bus station that can take you to all famous tourist destinations in Sydney. Reasonable money for such a central location. Room clean and tidy. Score 7.6 did not reflect its true value. I think it’s at least a 8.3 or 8.5. If you are watching concert at Aware Super theater this is a good choice of accommodation. I finished watching concert at 12:00 and walked 20 minutes back to the hotel. Safely. Lots of restaurants still opening and crowded. Police station nearby.

Construction going on. Not a big problem for tourists staying out all day.
