Kianinny Bush Cottages

Value for money with friendly staff and very clean. Great bush setting and had everything you need plus extras like books etc. Great warm fire and good sized fridge . Lovely hot shower with good pressure and rain shower head. Extra pillows, lovely blankets, crisp sheets. Easy to access shower and toilet

No complaints but pool was too cold for us oldies to swim in ( which you would expect in winter) As I'm less mobile than most so a recliner type chair would have been a bonus. Shower door didn't shut well and ran all over the floor but no big deal to us.

Cosy bush cottages in a great location. Plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Short drive to Tathra beach - or a 45 min bushwalk from the cabins. Staff were lovely and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. Would definately stay here again and would highly recommend for families. Free activities - minigolf, canoeing, swimming pool, tennis and games room were an added bonus. We also paid for a morning of Archery which was another highlight.

Very peaceful location, cottages were great: very clean and comfortable…split wall heating/cooling is complemented by a wood burner. Each cottage has a gas bbq. Whereas we were a group of adults - the property also has a number of activities particularly suited to kids: it’s therefore not only great for couples but also families. Location is just a few minutes outside Tathra and provides a great central location to explore the sapphire coast.

We can’t think of anything that we didn’t like.

Kianinny was a delightful surprise for us. After several nights camping we needed to regroup and shower and Kianinny was close by, had the bush location we wanted and was great value. We were super pleased with the cottage - it had everything we needed and gave us exactly what we had been looking for. The staff were completely wonderful - we desperately needed a hair dryer and a quiet location and the ladies on reception went above and beyond to help us out (even running up to the available lodges to check which ones were quietest!). We chose a standard cottage and learned the next day whilst talking to the manager that these are due to be renovated so they will be even better in the future. The location is great for big groups (a year 6 camp group was there during our stay but a wedding party was due to arrive the next day). It's not a lavish, super high end luxury resort but it doesn't pretend to be - it offers a beautiful bush location, lovely staff, good amenities - including flying fox, kayaking, walk to beach, fire place, kitchen facilities and great access to the surrounding area. We would stay again, thank you so much!

We loved all the activities you could do that were right on your doorstep. Mini Golf, flying fox (had to pay for this) canoeing and pool just to name a few (there are many more activities that are available there) The Brekkie by the Lake was to die for and the owners are so friendly and helpful!!!

Not much!!! It was pretty close to perfect!!! The only complaint I have is that the screen door didn’t have a catch on it so it would swing open all the time (I know first world problem right 🤣)

Later check in time of 3pm Screen door didnt close properly had to put something infront of it to stop it banging in the wind. Toilet makes loud noise after flushing Im a light sleeper and had difficulty sleeping with things falling on the roof at night. Take earplugs. Wifi was no good. I had planned to get work done while I was there but most travellers would be outdoors so not as important.

The cottage exceeded our expectations! we were very impressed with how nice and comfy it was! It was stunning eating breakfast by the lake as well, weather was perfect. We even got to see one of the local Kangaroos as we left, hopped right past our front door.

We could have done with a child safe gate around the wood fire, as our littly is walking and the heater was in the middle of the loungeroom/kitchen. But other than that, we were very happy.

We loved this accomodation, our biggest regret was not being able to stay longer! The cabins are basic but very comfortable and in a lovely location in the middle of beautiful bushland. My children loved the wildlife and nature surrounding us. Plenty of great activities for families and only a short drive to beautiful beaches. The lovely staff suggested the best beaches for children as well as some great fishing spots, we went to them all and had a great time.

It was all good!

There's just so much to do with kids - minigolf, flying fox, archery, games room with table tennis, billiard table, etc, lots of biking and hiking trails and the village and the beach are pretty close. Still, it was very peaceful and relaxing - we'll be sure to revisit once the weather is warming up a bit.

No complaints from us - we really enjoyed our stay. Both the facilities and the staff are great!

The Kianinny Bush Cottages were a highlight on our family's recent road trip. Our son was particularly pleased with the range of activities available and was annoyed that we only booked in for 3 nights. We've already recommended this location to other families that we know. Thanks also to the wonderful hosts and staff who were super friendly and welcoming.

Could have done with a little more internal cleaning around the cornices (few cobwebs which didn't go down well with our son).
