Hotel Tautermann

The checkin process is easy, there is something about parking, however I did not have a car so was not a problem for us. The rooms are big, for me I have a 3 person bedroom. The bathroom especially the shower is rather small, manageable if you will not spend a lot of time in the hotel room. The breakfast in the morning is nice, there is good variety and enough for all. I like the stay, however the ameneties especially with the lift and the ventilation at checkin could be made much better. I would advice the hotel lesser to families with kids. .

What I did not like is the hills that lead to the hotel. They are rather steep and if you have a bag or a pram then better plan to take a bus instead. Again, it is not that great for the bus stop either l, so the last leg will be walking up the hill. As a result, the walking down is fun even with the heavy bags :-). The other things is there are no elevators in the hotel, so watch out to lift the bags to the rooms yourself. The hotel has a very narrow entrance, the ventilating at the entrance is not that great so if you have to checkin and there is a queue (given summer time), you will feel the lack of ventilation. The price is kind of on the higher side, however that is a trend everywhere in Insbruck

The breakfast was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. The location is ideal as well to be able to quickly access the old town and the main centre of Innsbruck. Also the staff were very accomodating for our late arrival and allowed us to leave our bags in the reception once we'd checked out so that we could explore the city without having to carry luggage around with us.

We booked a room for 4 and didn't realise that one of us would be sleeping on a sofa bed. It was still very comfortable and pleasant, but would've been nice to know in advance! Very pleasant otherwise!

Property is located within walking distance of city centre. We could leave our car for free on site and we were asked to leave the car key on reception. The reason was that they have limited parking place and they move the car if they need to. Unfortunately they can’t give you designated parking place so once you move your car you risk your parking place. Our room was exceptional for a night stay. Bathroom was ultra small but had a toilet ( you literally sit under the sink while using it), a sink and a shower. Everything was clean. Breakfast was included in price. Selection was basic but their grain fingers were lovely. If you are non-soy vegan you can eat roll/grain finger and fresh veg such us cucumber, tomato and pepper. They have two coffee machines as well.

Unfortunately there is a building site next to the hotel what we weren’t aware of. They have started their job ( mostly drilling and hammering) at 7am. It wasn’t a pleasant wake up.

The hotel is located just 8 mins walk from the old city centre in a quiet street with great views from the windows (at least for upper floor rooms). Staff is nice and helpful and rooms are clean and roomy. WiFi presents for free. Nothing else say just a perfect balance between location, price and rooms qualities. Basically there is nothing bad to say about the hotel. Just a nice and super clean place, with decent rooms just few steps from the city centre for reasonable price.

room rate including a breakfast, however don't have any high expectation. Just very basic selection. For car drivers and motorcycle riders parking spots are very limited due to zone parking restriction for non residents. Better to ask hotel and book in advance. For people with limited mobility, the absence of elevator should be considered.

I booked a single room at the last minute, and was given a very large room that slept 3 and had a couch too. Quiet location on the other side of the river but it's walking distance to the historic city center. Breakfast was fine, and there's a fantastic wood fired pizza restaurant and grocery store nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful, and everything was clean and well kept.

Location is a bit of a walk (20 minutes) to the train station, but I had no complaints at all.

The installations of the hotel are a bit old in general but still comfortable, well maintained, and cozy. Our room had an awesome view of the mountains from a small closed balcony. The breakfast was quite nice and varied. The hotel does not have an elevator but it does have some rooms on the ground floor. The location is quite close to the center, but to reach the hotel you either have to walk on a steep street or climb some stairs. This said, for persons with limited mobility or small children, I would advise you to ask for a room downstairs and to have a good look at the location if you don't come in a car. The personnel is also very kind and helpful, so I would call them before to ask them if I had any specific requirements.

The stay was awesome. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was decent. Even though we got room on the ground floor upon our request, we got a nice mountain view.

Only thing is about the water temperature in the shower. It was not correctly adjusted despite our best efforts. It was either too cold or too hot under big pressure. We didn't reach out to hotel staff as we tried to manage it under low pressure.

Well it's pretty old. The shower water temperature is a mistery to master, all furniture is ok but definitely at the end of life. Parking is complicated but they are doing a good job covering this. If you are a smelly pooper - prepare to the fact that the door doesn't close completely 😂

The room was clean, simple, and just great for my purposes - and the view from both of my room's windows was amazing!! I slept so, so well. The bed was comfy. I wore earplugs, though, because I'm not used to the church bells ringing so often and I go to bed super early (at 6.30-7pm ish) and thus the bells ring at/after my bedtime. People working at the hotel were friendly, especially the ones in the kitchen. Special thanks to them! Most of them spoke English, too. Wonderful service! I eat gluten free food and got absolutely delicious gluten free bread, which was crispy and warm. Not the usual not-too-great white bread you get when you travel; I got 3 different kinds. So I loved the breakfast! I WILL COME BACK! :)

There is almost nothing they could do better. Perhaps the rooms could have electric kettles so that people could make tea or coffee for themselves during the day or if they wake up way before breakfast time like I did every morning. I had a fridge in my room plus cups, so there was something kitchen-like-stuff included.

The hotel is very quiet and easy to reach. They have sufficient parking, but requires vehicles to double and triple park. The staff was kind enough to let me park in front since we were leaving early in the morning.

It's a bit of a walk to restaurants and the tourist area, but the price with easy parking is impossible to beat. I had to roll up a towel and wedge it behind the shower head to keep it from falling down.
