voco® Villach, an IHG Hotel

The location near the Villach Hauptbahnhof and the old town just across the bridge was excellent. The gym was better than that of many other hotels and the sauna was an experience.

We found out about the Erlebnis Card from the Tourist Information Centre after checking into the hotel. Among the perks for the duration of our stay in Villach, it covers our public transport fares. The staff who checked us in did not mention and also did not take immediate action when we enquired later with her. The second morning another staff issued us the card in less than 15 minutes.

This hotel’s main feature is its location, as it’s only a 5 min walk from the train station and a 2 min walk from the city center. Price is decent, and makes it good value for money

Soundproofing is not perfect. I could hear next door neighbours talking. I was also placed in front of the lift, so could hear guests coming in and coming out. Also, a double bed is really two singles put together- which is not ideal as I could not sleep in the middle of the bed- too uncomfortable

our last night there, we lost electricity in our room. the young lady worked diligently to fix it, but could not. Not a problem, it happens. However- the next day at check out, I was expecting some sort of compensation. a discount, bonus points, something! Nothing! still paid full price.

The room was large enough for me and my two boys (4&6yrs). Also the bed. But was what supposed to be a King Size Bed was unfortunately two double beds, side by side, so the sleeping in the middle wasn't the best. The breakfast was great for my boys. I would have prefered some more vegan options, such as humus, beans and vegetables. The espresso could be a bit sharper. The gym has everything you need and the look over the Drau river is very magnificent, especially in the morning. The parking situation is perfect. You can go by elevator directly to the parking garage and the price is quite modest for this city size in Austria. When back in Villach, we will definitely stay at the VOCO again.

We got upgraded from a deluxe room to penthouse luxe - enormous room with patio to play golf! Very good breakfast. Great National park 30 min drive from Villach up in the mountains

Breakfast is very expensive (37eur) so be mindful to check it is already included into the room rate. While there is a good restaurant for dinner in the hotel, it can be closed for some group events

great place with friendly personnel (even with my arrival 20 mins past midnight) and fantastic breakfast, loved it

all was just perfect, I moved from 4 star hotel Seven into VOCO, because Seven 4 star hotel did not have anyone at the reception to let me into the booked room which was confirmed reservation . Job excellently done by VOCO!

The hotel, well located, (convenient, train, bus, car 👌👍) has large rooms with river view, superb. Comfort, cleanliness and impeccable bedding. A serious, friendly and relaxed staff. Ideal conditions for my working stay

Hotel is well located, close to the center and also to Velden. Italian border is half an hour away also. Reception staff is very kind and professional, room is nice, clean and comfortable.

Bar staff seemed tired. Bar terrace is very quiet, food serving closes early, open late only for drinks.

Brilliant modern hotel that caters perfectly to cycle tourists. . Very professional and welcoming staff , fantastic cycling facilities and wonderful rooms with exceptional beds . Has health spa/gym and is well located right between the old town and the rail station . Basic room had big bath with nice town views with large opening windows for fresh air .

Great location on the banks of the river. really good restaurant on the balcony serving great breakfast and bar meals. Good gym with lots of equipment if a little warm. room was a good size with good facilities. Easy parking in the basement.

Service in the restaurant for dinner was quite slow as it was a Saturday night and it was busy.
