Grandhotel Pupp

It’s a big hotel divided into two parts we’ve stayed at the Court side. Room was supper specious. With a small living room and a big bedroom. We had a corner room so we had a balcony along the whole corner. So we had a view of the river, and a view of the forest which was gorgeous! Breakfast was superb. Spa facility was wonderful. Staff always there for anything you need.

Not an issue, but an advisory. Take under account that the hotel is very big. So it’s a walk from one place to another. Even to the elevators or the stairs on your floor. So if you traveling with older people, or have problems walking, make sure to call and ask for a room close to all the facilities/ elevators/ entrance

This hotel is amazing and definitely is "grand", as in the name. The pictures don't give this place justice. In reality there us so much more space and glamour in this hotel. The restaurants are absolutely beautiful, the casino seems like one of the rooms in Monte Carlo casino, our rooms were huge and although old, felt still luxurious for modern times and the view out of our balconies was spectacular! And this price is just amazing! Such good value for money! The staff is also extremely nice. They let us keep our car in front of the hotel before we checked in. It is definitely a hotel where James Bond could have been and we still relive this experience. Wish it didn't end so soon.

Unfortunately there are no irons in the rooms and there are only few that can be rented. It would bs much easier if each room had an iron. The room is beautiful but at night it is pretty dark. Either you have to use ceiling light which looks not so cozy or if you use lamps around the room to create cozy vibe, it is too dark. More lamps should solve the problem. And last thing, the rwstaurants are absolutely beautiful and worth the visit but the dishes are hit or miss. My burger and soup were very good but my relative's schnitzel looked like it was made a week ago or bought at a discount and was pre-made in a supermarket. I would probably prefer to go hungry than eat it

the hotel was really beautiful, the breakfast was amazing and the spa too. the best was the staff of breakfast room and of the restaurant and bar. Area bar is amazing. The restaurant's cuisine is exceptional.

the room was beautiful but not special. for example the bathroom was with different style respect the room and the rest of the hotel. I think was beautiful but not special like a hotel with five star’s. sometimes the staff of the reception was superficial. Nice hotel but I didn't breathe special air as often happens in 5-star hotels.

There are two hotels within the existing old hotel. One part remodeled and one not remodeled. Make sure you stay in the remodeled areas. It's not only the room, but also the reception area and the dining area. The whole experience is different.

Didn't like the old hotel. They agreed to upgrade us to the new hotel at a small additional charge. By the way, this was not disclosed by booking.com at the time that the reservation was made.

The suite was enormous and very comfortable. Reception staff were very helpful, well-informed, and tactful. The place itself is richly evocative of a bygone era, but the modern comforts are all here. The breakfast in the restaurant is very good. The spa was a welcome retreat. The walks along the river to the old spa were convenient and interesting, much more Real World (young families with strollers, working couples on holiday) than the Belle Epoque setting might suggest.

We booked a room with a "forest view," cheaper than the river/town view, but we assumed also leafier. Our room, on a low floor, faced the wall of the new spa across a noisy outdoor passage. Trees were just visible above the wall. We adjusted OK, but would specify for a clear view of the forest next time. Also, my husband was sick after our dinner in the restaurant, though I was not. He quietly explained this to the captain at reception. The bill did not include any charges for that dinner.

The staff at the Spa, the one girl at the back reception, the lady who let me have breakfast at the front part of the hotel and the concierge guy. They were all so kind to me and made my stay enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is beautiful and historical and that is the reason why I wanted to stay there for my birthday. By the way, thank you for the birthday torte.

I did not know that the hotel has 2 classes and another entrance. I can't say if it was stated in the description. However, it was very evident that it was segregated and made oneself afraid to "cross over" the line, so to speak. You could only have breakfast in the same wing where you were staying and not at the other, but, allowed to access the spa. It really made me uncomfortable, even sometimes entering and exiting the building from the main entrance of the hotel. Regardless, the staff I mentioned above made up for it.

Beautiful, iconic hotel, the main areas are really impressive. the breakfast was delicious, beds very comfortable, rooms large and quiet. Great location.

They told us there were no tables for dinner eve though there were lots free and later they seated us after we asked again. the spa is a little small for such a large hotel, all the places to sit were taken

It was an amazing stay. You feel like you're in a movie scene. Grand Hotel Pupp is a legendary place. From reception team (Tomas & Mariana) to the concierge, they were all very nice and professional. The room was nice and comfortable. The swimming pool & spa was great. I am very impressed with the impeccable cleanliness of the spa & saunas areas. I love the ideas of clean and ironed sheets provided instead of regular towels. It gives a more luxury feeling. Sauna and seram bath options were wide range. I had breakfast and dinners in their absolutely gorgeous, historical dining halls. The service, ambiance, food...everything was amazing. In the spa Tetiana (massage therapist) took care of me. I had several sessions with her. She is not only perfectly professional but she is very gifted. Her therapies went beyond my expectations. I have been suffering a shoulder issue for a long time. My shoulder felt much better even after the first session. She is very knowledgeable about root causes of the issues as well. I definitely recommend her therapies to all guests staying in Grand Hotel Pupp. The stay was a very nice experience. I am looking forward to the direct train line from Prague airport to Karlovy Vary. I'll come back more often after that.

Everything was good.

It’s nothing compare what you read about it. It’s a overrated hotel with a small amount of options. Massage place always full and massage was average. If you book thru booking you will be given the rooms on the other side of the building which is not the same look and feel like the old building. Very below average. They will tell you that you could upgrade which we tried twice but it wasn’t possible.

the grandeur, the sense of history, the interesting location , the hotel’s back to a cliff, with all of Carlsbad in front of it, the truly fabulous Viennese style cafe. the beds were remarkably comfortable. the members of the staff were exceptional, especially the infinitely patient man in the parking lot squeezing everyone in .

it was not exactly a dislike but in walking from one end of the vast building to the other, I was surprised by certain shabby derelict stretches, dismal looking , awaiting the redecorater’s hand. I know that we were in the B-grade section, the so called Parkside as opposed to the more elite Riverside, but still our room, despite its excellent view, was rather disappointingly cramped in its dimensions. had a much larger room been cut down, or we were perhaps in the kind of room they gave to some family’s maid in the grand old days?
