Hotel Marttel

Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Room with balcony (beautiful view) and very comfortable (!) mattress. Clean and cozy. Beautiful and spacious breakfast room. The hotel has a welcoming atmosphere.

No blow-drier in the bathroom, but the staff at the reception provided me with one, which was really nice. No toilet paper holder in the bathroom. The shower cabins are very small, which was okay for me, but taller/bigger persons might have problems. As for the breakfast buffet, besides the sausages and ham, warm meatless options like baked beans or potato wedges would be a nice bonus, as well as more cereals (like oat flakes).

We arrived in the city at about 10:00. Check in was at 14:00, but after calling the hotel, the receptionist lady was nice enough to let us park our backpacks at the hotel while we explored the city. It was quite a climb from downtown to the hotel, but we didn't mind the exercise (in fact we needed some after a bit of indulging). Watch out if you're carrying heavy luggage, though. It could be challenging. We came back to the hotel in the evening to check in and got a room on the 4th floor. They've got some funky fish art in the stairwell. The bedroom is connected to a balcony overlooking a football pitch at the back of the hotel. Not bad. The bed was comfortable. Toilet and shower were separate, with the toilet not having a sink. The shower room was comfortably spacious, and the shower water temperature was well adjustable between hot and cold. Overall, an excellent room for a reasonable price.

The toilet was wobbly. No sink in the toilet. The automatic light in the stairwell was weird, maybe they should reprogram the timing a bit. These are minor details, which didn't affect the overall stay that much.

Wifi signal is good, beds are vary spacious, several towels, gel and shampoo in a bathroom. The hotel is in a good place, you can easily reach main city attractions. There is an elevator. Parking is spacious too. I really really loved breakfast: cooked eggs, sausages, several types of bread, several types of jam, cereal, fruits, apple pie, cold apple or orange juice, water, super coffee from a machine, teabags. Super breakfast!!!

Bathroom needs to be reniewed, looks old, looks dirty even if it's not. Hotel should change the look of bathroom because room looks great.

Good location with free parking. Simple but satisfactory breakfast. Great budget option.

Rooms need renovation, small showers and some are with mold. The cleaning is minimal during the stay, mostly only towel changes. Lack of breakfast change during the stay. Also did not notice an AC, so not sure how hot it is in the summer.

Very comfortable clean room, good breakfast, large parking near hotel with no trafic outside. So it is very quiet part of the city, not far from city centre. And very good price. Next time, if i will visit Karlovy Vary again, i will choose this hotel.

There was no drink glass in the bathroom, but i was there only for one night, so i didn't try to find one. Maybe a little bit too small shower place.

The hotel was very good, very clean, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The best thing that they can do the COVID Antigen test before the check in, so you don’t need to be worried. Breakfast was good but I hope that they can provide more varieties, like more vegetarian products. The location is bit far from the Center, around 20 min by walk, but the bus station is very close to the hotel so you can use it.

There were no hair dryer at the toilet. Otherwise everything was perfect.

The room was very spacious, comfortable, quiet and very clean. Breakfast was very good too, with a variety of fresh food to choose from

A bit away from the town centre. Nevertheless, within walking distance.

Quiet, nice place to stay. Not very far from busy area of Karlovy Vary.

Bathroom door was broken. Location is good - on the hill just 15 minutes walk from center, but might be tricky to go up there when you re tired, but bus stop is just next to hotel

Very welcoming staff at modern hotel with easy parking. The 24 hour reception was much appreciated and helped our group with the late 2am arrival.

The breakfast was very basic but mostly tasty. It would of been nice to have extra pillows in the room but this is a small comment.

Room was spacious, clean, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great and a place itself is also good - near the city center (15 minutes by foot), free parking space, mini bar :)

In the morning the room got very hot because of the sun shining directly.
