Hôtel Diva Opera

The location of this hotel was incredible — fun restaurants and bars around, 20 minute walk to the Seine, 5 minute walk to the closest metro stop. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly.

The WiFi in our room wasn’t working, and though I asked staff for help multiple times, it was never fixed. The bathrooms don’t have windows or a vent, so instead they had these little translucent panels that let air (as well as sound!) pass through into the main room; this was fine, and I completely understand the reasoning, but it limited psychological privacy in the bathroom.

The hotel is in a good spot, sandwiched between Montmartre to the north and the Seine and all its attractions to the south. It’s close to a few metro stations meaning everywhere is accessible. It’s a 15 minute walk from Gare du Nord, so perfect for stepping off the Eurostar. There’s a supermarket close by and also plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. It’s in a quiet street and while we could hear the chatter of people walking by on a Friday night and the occasional scooter beep it wasn’t obtrusive. The hotel itself was spotless and the room spacious and comfortable. We liked the decor and loved the balcony ( we had a 5th floor room) We arrived four hours before check in and asked if they could store our bags while we explored but the room was ready so the receptionist checked us in early which was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

The location was great; the staff was very friendly, helpful, patient, professional, and kind; the decor in the hotel and our room was very nice; breakfast was good; the hotel was very accommodating of Shabbat/religious restrictions; the room was clean enough to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. Overall a very positive experience.

I believe the filter in our airconditioner in our room was quite dirty and needed to be cleaned or replaced, as my husband and I would start coughing when the AC was on. It was also a little bit pricier than I would have liked for a 3-star hotel, but that's just part of the Paris experience - unlikely to get better value anywhere else that is just as nice and central.

Location is good in terms of the restaurants around and it feels safe staying in this area. 24h concierge is great, makes me feel safe staying here.

Some bath towels were old and stained. No tooth brush / tooth paste provided, need to bring your own.

Nice rooms with beautiful interior. It is close to a great boulangerie and the Grand Boulvard metro station is a 7 min walk probably. We could leave our suitcases in the baggage room before checkin and after checkout. The staff is kind and helpful. Lift to the rooms, chairs and tables, enough space compared to other hotels. The lobby is spacious and elegant.

The street below our window was very noisy with closed windows as well, waking us up early. We could hear our neighbours as well, the walls are quite thin. One part of our bathroom was really dusty above the heating.

There were plenty of positives. The hotel was in an excellent location, just a 15 minute walk from Gare du Nord and near a fantastic selection of eateries and attractions. The Metro was also just a 5-7 minute walk to get you pretty much anywhere in Paris. The room was spacious (we did benefit from a free upgrade when checking in), the bathroom was great and the staff were helpful and courteous. The price was also very competitive, especially when you consider the location and other nearby hotels. Overall, we would highly recommend Aida Opera.

We didn't bother with the breakfast. At 12 Euros per person, it's not really worth it. There's a fantastic boulangerie directly across the road from the entrance. We went there every morning and really recommend that! The noise (both inside and outside the building) could also be an issue. Some of this isn't the hotel's fault, but if you're a light sleeper, pack a set of ear plugs..

We are very satisfied with our stay! Exceptionally clean room and bathroom with big mirrors, working TV, fridge, excellent lightning and charging option next to the bed, toiletries and hair-dryer. Daily cleaning and changing of towels. No hot-water jug but in the lobby there is 24/7 hot water, tea and coffee for free to make your cup. In March it was even warmer in the room than necessary but you can always open the window, the street isn't noisy at night. Staff really nice. Breakfast was good, too! The location is perfect. Walking distance to Montmartre, Opera Garnier, Place Vendome and the Tuilerie Gardens. To the Eiffel Tower, at Grand Boulevard stop (very close) take line 9 to Trocadero :)

Everything was amazing! Staff was really nice and accommodating. The location is perfect to visit Paris’ city centre by foot, but a metro station is very close by. I will definitely come back if I visit Paris again, but I will book the room with separate beds because ours was quite small for 2 people, but still great. Really appreciated the free drinks that were waiting for us in the room. Overall it was a perfect stay.

Breakfast could be a little bit better for 12€, I would add more of the sweet side, but everything I tried was super tasty.

The hotel is nice, comfortable and with a good atmosphere (it's an older building, but renovated to modern standards). The rooms are quite big, and have al the facilities needed for a short or longer stay. Breakfast was continental and plenty was provided in buffet form. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Anothe rupside: it's in the opera area with good linking to public transport.

I've asked for a quiet room, but there weren't any available. Unfortunately the isolation doesn't really mute the street noises in the morning.

Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Room was comfy, loved the balcony (it was a slightly larger room). Great location - walking distance from the Gare du Nord, Montmartre, Galeries Lafayette and the Seine near Samaritaine. So many restaurants nearby.

A bit unfortunate that the occupant of the room above us was very heavy-footed and woke us up. Breakfast was ok value - €12 for quite a wide selection. Local breakfasts offered by cafés/restaurants averaged €9 for coffee, pastry and fruit juice so the hotel was good value by comparison
