Hotel Panache

A really lovely hotel within easy walking distance of Gare du Nord. The staff were incredibly friendly and were able to accommodate a slightly later check-out. Rooms are small but all you need to rest your head and tired legs after exploring the city. Small touches like water in reception and in the rooms, coffee machine with pods provided, and lovely bathroom amenities, were all great. Asked for a room on a high floor overlooking the street which we were given.

The room was very warm, and as we had a room overlooking the street it meant it was very loud at night if we wanted to open the window. I'm sure this could have been solved by knowing how to use the heating/air-conditioning system, but no clear instructions were provided. Also, whilst not a problem for us, the lift and stairways are very narrow. This wouldn't stop me from recommending it or staying again.

Staff were all universally lovely, the location was perfect (close to restaurants, metro stations, and the passage Jouffroy), and the room was beautifully decorated and very clean. I even got a room with one of those typically Parisian tiny balconies, and spent the mornings drinking my coffee while enjoying the gorgeous view! I'll never forget that view. The bed was so comfortable that I slept better than I do at home. The room was compact and the typical size for Paris, but well designed and laid out. I'll definitely try to stay here again next time I'm in Paris.

Tiny bathroom! It was as nice as the rest of the room, but I'm a smallish person and I can only imagine that someone bigger would have trouble getting past the toilet to the shower. Anyone taller than 5 foot 10 or so might have to crouch a little to get their head under the showerhead. Not a problem if you're prepared for that (the pluses of this place infinitely outweigh the downsides), but good to know before booking!

The room had AC, the shower's pressure was excellent, clean & fresh towels were provided, the staff were very friendly and we had a lovely night's rest. The soaps etc provided were also very nice. The windows open up onto the street and heavy block out curtains can be drawn at night while thin curtains provide privacy (still letting light through) during the day. The hotel is close to a metro (Grands Boulevards), food shops and restaurants. Very enjoyable stay.

The room is on a busy corner, so a bit noisy but excellent if you want to feel a part of the city during the stay. Our shower panel couldn't close so the floor was wet after every shower and the (free) wifi is not great, but it does the job if you want to send messages and keep in touch with loved ones (couldn't make a data call, but normal messaging was fine).

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Panache. The hotel itself is trendy and clean in a very lively area. We stayed in a suite and the room was large with a balcony and beautiful view of the street and people passing by. The bathroom was a large as well and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very attentive and friendly. There is an attached cafe with a small breakfast buffet every morning. They are also able to cook you eggs in the style you like and their coffee was delicious.

There was very little not to like. If we had to nitpick, we could have used some drawers or a small dresser to store our close out of our suit cases. Also the area on Friday and Saturday nights are very lively and can be noisy if you have a room close to the Main Street.

The location was ideal for us. Very close to multiple metro stations making travel easy. Very quiet despite the heavy foot traffic round the area and busy roads. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Loved the decor and ambiance. Generally speaking I can’t fault this hotel!

I suppose the only drawback is the fact that it is a little bit in the smaller side; cramped bathroom and little space to move if you happen to have a large bag however that is only a very minor point.

Paris traffic, rain… Very few, very small things like how long it takes the elevator doors to close. The light switching in my room: I like to read in bed with only the bedside light on. Unless I didn’t figure it out the light outside the bathroom and at the far window were on until I cut all lights.

Beautifully designed and in a perfect location. Although we’d asked for a lower floor room, we were accidentally allocated a 6th floor one, but the staff were absolutely lovely and helped us find a new room. A great place to come back to after a day exploring Paris and a warm welcome from the lovely Michel.

There was a loud plumbing system in one of the rooms and a slight problem with soundproofing there too but the other room was fantastic.

The location is super convenient, centrally located in the Faubourg-Grand Blds area. Close to dining, bars and shopping. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent and a good value. The hotel is chic and boutique - nicely designed and appointed.

Rooms were a bit on the small side but expected for this area of Paris and yet a good value.

Location

You can hear almost everything coming from the hallway: cleaners, other guests. Rooms need more soundproofing, doors need to not autoclose, and potentially doors need to be replaced to not hear all sounds.

Such a treat to stay in a hotel without generic 'hotel decor', the rooms were so adorably designed. Our room was spacious by Paris standards and were thrilled to have a room with a bath. They were so kind to our dog too, which was lovely. We took the Eurostar from London and it was no more than a 15-20 minute from Gare du Nord. Lots of great restaurant options right on the doorstep, which is a bonus when you're tired from travelling.
