Hotel André Latin

Good location. Very close to Luxembourg metro station - a stop with the RER B line from Charles de Gaulle airport to Paris. Safe neighborhood full with restaurants and cafes. Clean hotel, with elevator (not common in Paris). Personnel was nice, English speaking and very helpful. Room was renovated and very functional for its size. Bed was big and comfortable.

The soundproof was a problem. I could hear other people taking their shower, walking around the rooms and talking. I think that this is a problem in many hotels in Paris... The room was small - something that Paris hotels are famous for... Value for money is not ok but this is something that Paris is also famous for. By the way, I love Paris !!! I have been here many times and I will do so again. If you want a budget hotels for Paris around Pantheon, it is a good choice.

The hotel is even nicer in person than the pictures. The rooms are really generous in size and my girlfriend loved being able to have a bath at the end of a long day exploring Paris! Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s also a quiet area so we were able to go out for the evening but have a peaceful sleep. Some boulangeries and restaurants within walking distance, close to bus stops and the Luxembourg gardens also a close walk.

It’s a little bit further out from the Latin Quarter than we realised - about a 15-20 minute walk. Which was fine except when it was raining! Would also recommend bringing your own hair dryer as the one provided wasn’t very good. They ask you to leave your room key at reception each time you leave the hotel. This made us a bit uncomfortable as they only ask for room number when you come back not any form of ID to check and twice we had people (not hotel employees) knock on our door so we worried a bit about security. However, there is a 24 hour reception desk which is great.

This is a nice hotel in a good Hausmannian building in the upper part of the Fifth Arrondissement. It's close to the Luxembourg Gardens, the Sorbonne and the Pantheon. Round the corner in a leafy street are a couple of local restaurants. My room on the fifth floor, on a side street, had a glimpse of the impressive dome of the Val-de-Grace, which was a nice bonus. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom impeccable, and it was otherwise a perfectly pleasant stay.

Wifi was poor, I couldn't really connect effectively.

Loved the location and the big window and the traditional French feeling of the room, lovely. The view was quite charming - again, quintessentially French - I felt like I was in Paris. Location is superb - we walked everywhere - the 5th arrondissement is so great when visiting Paris.

My daughter and I had a lovely stay here. Excellent location from the Luxembourg metro station. Our rooms were cleaned daily, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were really helpful when I asked for directions on the metro to get around the city.

It was quite noisy as there were wooden floors in all rooms. The guest staying about us were dragging chairs across the floor, which kept us awake. This wasn’t the hotels fault just other people need to be more aware of the surroundings and other guests.

Location was lovely quiet part of Paris. Not far from the Latin quarter which highly recommend, easy to get to the subway. Staff were wonderful. Lovely clean hotel.

Our check in was at 2, unfortunately our room was not ready till 50 minutes later. Here we stayed at the hotel as we wanted to freshen up before heading into the city. This was the only downfall of our experience, other than that we loved the hotel, and the girl behind the till was brilliant.

Staff was very efficient and helpful. The hotel and room were clean and modern. They were willing to store our bags before we could check in and upon check out.

Somebody has to get the room by the elevator. That was us. Guests were very loud right outside of our door. Operating the AC is a bit tricky and we didn't want to open our windows because there was a big party going on outside. This only happened on one night.

My partner and I stayed here for one night after being let down by our air bnb host. We booked very last minute and managed to get a room here and check in at 10.30 pm. it was our saving grace. We were so desperate we would have stayed anywhere but we were blown away with what we got in Hotel André Latin. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone! Hotel Andre Latin not only saved us from a night on the street but provided us with exceptional service, a stunning double room and the most comfortable nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. the hotel is perfectly located in the 5th Arrondissement; a quiet area with loads of small cafes and bars, 2-3 minutes from the pantheon and less than 15 from the Notre Dame area. Our room was immaculately clean, as was the bathroom. we even had a small balcony with a lovely view of the surrounding classic Parisian buildings. although we only spent a night in the hotel it left a great impression. The location of this hotel is what makes you truly feel like a local. It is at walking distance from the Panthéon, the Jardins du Luxembourg, and a myriad of - not so crowded - cute streets with highly rated, yet affordable restaurants. Typical french cafés and bakeries are right around the corner, along with access to bus and metro. The room we had was small, but had a great view on the roofs of Paris. Perfect to sleep - which is all you need really - after all, who comes to the City of Lights to stay in their room? Bonus point, the room has AC, a true life saver in summer!
