Hôtel de l'Avre

I loved my stay!!! The room and bathroom were clean. It's an old building and you can hear your neighbors sometimes, but the overall atmosphere is very quiet. The room was small, but that was something I expected and liked. It was great to have a supermarket and metro station around the corner but be off the busy street at the same time. I was also surprised to find a Saturday street market nearby. I loved that the area was not that touristy and cleaner than the city center, but it still had a lot of restaurants and was a 20-minute walk away from the Eiffel Tower.

Very comfortable, well-appointed rooms (in a classic French style) that were very clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The hotel was even nicer than I expected for a 3 star and felt even brighter and newer (in the rooms) than even some of the photos. The location is fantastic if you want to be near the Eiffel Tower (10-12 min walk) or jump on the Metro (3 min walk). Also there are electric bikes and scooters available for hire/short-term use via the Lime app and other apps, right on the same street as the hotel. I biked along the Seine and over to Notre Dame, etc. in about 20-25 min. If you want to actually stay nearer to the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. and prefer walking everywhere, you'll want to stay over near the slightly more glitzy / higher end cafe and shop-filled Saint-Germain-de-Pres area but you also pay much more. This hotel was excellent value for money and I was pleasantly surprised. There were some lovely boulangeries, brasseries and coffee shops nearby and the area felt safe for meandering around late on summer nights.

The hotel is a lovely mixture of otantic interior with modern services and tools. The location is superb, 2 minutes away from the metro and really close to the Eiffel. The staff was always smiling and extremely helpful. You might find the bathroom a bit small but I do not think it was a major issue. All in all, would recommend the hotel 10/10, especially when you consider the relatively low price for such good quality and service.

Perhaps the only thing that was not pleasant was the sound isolation. Unfortunately you could hear noises from the outside quite easily and loud. But apart from that, everything was really amazing.

The room was beautifully decorated, and the location was very convenient right next to the metro station and a short walk to the Eiffel Tower. The location felt very safe and the street was well-lit at night which was very important to me as a solo traveller. It was also very close to everything needed - many cafes and restaurants, boulangeries, pharmacy, etc. Everything was clean & well-maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The water pressure in the shower was very weak but workable. Other than that, no complaints!

This hotel was just what we wanted. It is very French, the rooms are smaller but well arranged and well decorated. There was even a closet and elevator. There is charm everywhere. It is one block from the Metro. We were welcomed by English speaking Bernard. He could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Isabelle served us a delightful breakfast which we ate in the beautiful garden everyday. We even were able to see Olivier change the seasonal decorations and hear about the history of the hotel. The rest of the staff did pretty well with their English as our French was cheer on!! It was perfect.

Hotel was as expected from the website. Friendly staff. Typically compact Paris hotel but tastefully furnished with antique furniture. We opted for a garden room rather than the street, with pleasant views of trees and the sound of birdsong - unusual in central Paris. Continental breakfast was 13€. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, but hot drinks were available from reception for a small charge. Location is excellent - just a short walk from La Motte Picquet-Grenelle metro station which connects to 3 separate metro lines covering most of central Paris. Also very handy for our favourite Paris restaurant - the Cafe du Commerce.

Coffee-making facility in the room would have been nice. Cheaper breakfasts were available in local cafés, but you pay for the convenience of eating in-house.

Hotel location is very convenient, close to the tour Eiffel and metro stations. The presence of a garden to have breakfast is really a bonus in Paris. The room dimension is small, as always in Paris. Overall, a goog 3-star hotel. Bathroom is OK, enough large for 2 persons. Elevator is available. Hotel staff is VERY fiendly. We appreciated it very much. a Standard 'french-style' continental breakfast.

The room is not sound-proof. Being so small, is somebody moves in the corridor, it is just 1.5 m away from the bed. This is not confortable. Bathtub: altough efficient, it is not easy to enter to get a shower, especially for elderly people. I would recommend to change the bathtube with a simple shower cabin. This wouls make the bathroom much more comfortable.

Service was amazing. Felt like at home. We got to hotel early and they allowed us to change, use bathroom, and they stayed with our bags until room was ready. Took our bags to room and left a very nice welcome note and gift. Very Welcoming staff and felt super safe and confortable leaving all my personal things with them to go enjoy the city right away. Location was great. We got back late and had a great sleep. Room was spacious and clean with AC. Bed was comfortable.

Price was not what I had planned but city in general was expensive.

Location is great, near metro. Good value for the money. Basic continental breakfast, but verify it is included. Garden rooms are quiet. Desk guy spoke good english.

Room 38 was small for two people. If you are arriving by car you MUST make a reservation with APP ZENPARK. You can not use a US phone to do this. You must have a EUR Sim chip or phone to get a textable number. Cost was 65E for 1.5 days. Dont show with a car in this area without a reservation. Street parking is 60Efor 4 hours.

Really nice garden to have a complimentary French breakfast.

Weak internet and chamber maid kept moving my staff and rearranging everything around. One time my shoes ended up under furniture, I had to look under it on my knees to find them. And I placed my deodorants and different sprays where it was convenient for me around the room and she kept moving them into the bathroom every time. It pissed me off. I even asked for my room not to be cleaned for a couple of days.
