Hotel Cluny Square

Hotel Cluny Square is well situated on the corner of Boulevards St Michel and St Germain. There is a bus lane outside the hotel so drop off in a private car is dofficult and the entrance is very small so not easy to find among the restaurants and other shops. The access is tricky for older folk or anyone with disabilities as the reception is up stairs on floor 1. The lift is tiny and we were on floor 5 (503) a corner room very clean and wiaint with a view of the Eifel Tower. The windows open as it does get hot but the air con is good. Bed was comfortable. Again if you don’t like small lifts try a room on a lower floor! Breakfast is served on trays in a small room next to reception its okay but you might prefer a local cafe of which there are plenty as you are in the latin quarter.

The breakfast area is too cramped and the access isn’t good the shower access in the bath again for people with mobility there are problems.

Very clean and comfortable hotel in excellent location. The room was small, but no smaller than is average for Parisian hotels. It is on a busy intersection so if windows are opened it is noisy, but the windows, when closed, provide excellent soundproofing. Traffic did not disturb me at all. The bed was very comfortable and the aircon worked well. Housekeeping staff were lovely. The nearest Metro station is right outside the door and the RER to the airport is close. I managed to walk everywhere - didn't need to use transport except to and from the airport.

As reported by many, the reception staff are a bit abrupt, but were happy to assist if questions were asked - just don't expect them to fawn over you or assist unless asked.

The location is literally amazing, because you can go out and in 1 min you see La Seine, Notre Dame de Paris and 2 most vibrant and beautiful boulevards. Luxembourg Gardens are a 10 mins walk, same for Le Marais neighborhood into another direction... Honestly the location couldn't be better! The room was very small, but had everything you could need, even a decent writing table and most importantly, it had a nice long balcony with a very nice view. So eventually, the balcony compensated for the small size of the room. Last but not least, I just loved the room decoration - everything looked very new, very clean and had very carefully selected design details which overall created a feeling like you would like to live in this room for some time.

Air conditioner was the only thing that looked old in the room + it had a loud ugly sound when you'd turn it on. But in Paris at nights it's not that hot, so we always opened the window and at the end it was not needed.

The location was superb. I could see the RER B station entrance which takes you to CDG from my window. The metro is right there. There are an incredible number of reasonably priced restaurants within a few minutes walking distance. I had reserved an interior room but got a room with three large windows and a balcony with an exterior view. It was lovely and quiet. At least any street noise was drowned out by the AC.

Breakfast did not seem worth it. There is a boulangerie 2 minutes away that has awesome food at reasonable prices. I needed to close the curtains to give the AC a chance to do its job. I didn't mind this, but it's important to keep in mind on hot days. My room had a southern exposure.

Great room with a great view with balcony. The Director Lady and her daughter were super kind and helpful. She gave me directions to get around and other city information with patience. Comfortable bed. The hotel is situated at a convenient location. The air-conditioning in the room was perfect. Made my stay comfortable. As the temperature was quite hot in Paris, when I stayed there. Many eating places around the hotel. Eiffel tower, Louvre museum and other attractions, easy bus drive from hotel. Local buses run till late in the city.

The room was bit small for a large bed to get around. But I won't complaint, because it was very comfortable for me. There is no provision for drinking water. But that is very standard in Paris (or Europe). That makes it bit uncomfortable for some of us, as we are not used to fill drinking water from bathroom tap, although it is safe to drink.

The location was absolutely perfect! Right in the heart of everything. We were able to walk everywhere. Lots of cafes and restaurants with in walking distance. The room was a little small but comfortable. They are all small in Paris so no big deal. The air conditioning worked great, and loved the mini fridge.Was very clean and the staff was amazing, very helpful! I would definitely stay here again!

Walking up the stairs when you first get in with a bunch of luggage was an experience. But the hotel lets you know that on their websight up front so we were prepared for that. And as we entered the reception asked if we needed help. Very nice!

you need to climb one floor by foot in narrow stairs, and the reception is on the second floor. the elevator itself is very small and so are the hallways of the hotel. the room's door next to us was so close we could hear the other room all the time. the curtains didn't provide enough coverage at morning time. the shower didn't have any curtains to close it down, so we needed to wipe the flooded floor after every shower we had

We were allocated the Romance Suite on the top floor of the hotel, it was a really cute room and to our surprise it had a view of the Eiffel Tower, which at night when it twinkles is just so pretty. The room was lovely, the bathroom had only a bath but it was freezing whilst we were in Paris so suited us ok. Great location, staff are very friendly and helpful. We went during one of the strikes and they got us a taxi to the airport when we'd failed to get one ourselves. It's 5 mins walk to Notre Dame and the Seine, 20 mins to the Louvre.

As per previous comments, you need to carry luggage up one flight of stairs to the reception then there is an elevator.

the location is perfect, beautifully designed, having a lift is a nice bonus, 24 hour staff was friendly, beautiful views, nice soundproofing (we never heard people in the halls), close to many great restaurants

There was so little counter space we were constantly juggling where to put things to get ready in the morning. I would stay here again but I would see if they have a larger room with more counter space. The shower is open and leaks onto the floor but there is towel heater to dry the bath mat. Room was really just barely more than a walking path around the bed (but this is normal for Paris).

The location was excellent, centrally, located steps from restaurants, cafés, and major attractions. The staff and particularly owner is absolutely lovely. Very friendly and helpful. The room is adorable. Not overly large however has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful windows with Juliet balconies overlooking the gorgeous streets of Paris.

Only downfall is there is no elevator. So if you’re travelling with large suitcases, be prepared. But still definitely worth the stay.
