Hotel Saint-Louis Pigalle

The room was clean, comfortable and absolutely huge for Paris (both room and bathroom). The views from the room was divine, and made it a special memory. The location of the hotel is excellent, with the metro close by to explore Paris, with a lot of great eating options after a full day of sightseeing. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you take the road parallel to the main street (where the metro entrance is), you can completely avoid the more colourful establishments in the neighbourhood if you wish. We took some time to explore Montmartre which has such an interesting history, and did not have any issues with these shops, and we were travelling with young kids. Thank you to the staff - we had a truly wonderful time at the Hotel Saint Louis Pigalle!

The hotel was conveniently located close to the metro but with a comfy pair of shoes and Google maps on hand it is also a pleasant walk to get to the tourist attractions. The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming and spoke in English when conversations required more than my limited French was capable of. This was my first time travelling solo and I felt very safe throughout. They operate a system of handing the room key back in at reception when you leave, which was great as it meant not having to worry about losing the key while out. Close to the Moulin Rouge and numerous restaurants but as on a side street I didn't find it to be noisy. I made use of their car service to take me to the train station after my stay rather than taking a heavy suitcase on the metro and the driver handled it with ease, again making me feel safe throughout the journey. I would definitely use this hotel again.

As several reviews have mentioned, the neighbourhood is ‘colourful’, but not threatening and the hotel is on quiet side street. Probably not even five minutes walk to the nearest metro station. Poof, you’re anyplace in Paris on the extensive system. The hotel is a good price point for the room size in Paris. The room and breakfast area are clean and nicely decorated. The best part is the friendly note staff in a city that sometimes gets a bad rap for being indifferent to tourists. If you’re lucky, a young lady, Nawal, will be working the reception desk. She went out of her way to help us and other guests. She organized a cab for the airport (Reserve it 24 hours in advance if it’s a morning cab or maybe be disappointed.) and an Uber to a port destination, plus suggesting restaurants in the area that she and other locals would frequent. We realize that this is all part of her job, but she genuinely seems to enjoy assisting the guests and her enthusiasm and kind manner certainly made our stay special.

Hotel St Louis Pigalle is a lovely little hotel close to the Moulin Rouge. We had a ground floor room which suited us perfectly. Our bed was very comfortable, fabulous shower, great air conditioning. We didn't have a view because of the ground floor aspect (Rooms 10 and 11 are on the ground floor) but we didn't miss it as we were out and about all day. The location was very central so that we could walk everywhere - Palais Garnier, Jardin des Tuilleries, the L'Oeuvre, the Latin Quarter, Montmartre, etc. The breakfast lounge was very stylish and the breakfast was fantastic - set us up every day so that we hardly needed any lunch. Loads of great dinner restaurants within walking distance. And, most importantly, the staff were great - especially the young woman working on reception and the small blonde woman in the kitchen area. So cheerful and helpful. We would happily return.

We tried to avoid the main street where the Moulin Rouge is - door-to-door sex shops! But, other than that, the location was fantastic.

The room was comfortable and with enough space for everything, clean, tidy and modern, it had a small french balcony overlooking just the tip (that's what he said) of the eiffel tower which we found just lovely. The surroundings also just perfect, it's a nice quiet area near the Moulin Rouge and at the bottom of Montmartre with enough to see and do. The hotel staff was probably the nicest people I've ever encountered at a hotel. An especial shoutout to Nawal who is simply the BEST. She made our stay and visit a million times better, someone please give that woman a promotion :-)

I really have nothing to say here. We had a great stay and experience at this hotel. Totally recommended!

We booked a regular room for one night and then stayed on the top floor for the rest of our time in Paris and the view was spectacular. I was on the hunt for an affordably priced Parisian hotel which had a view of the Eiffel tower and this was a perfect fit! Vithush and Nawal at the reception provide great service and were very helpful. The room had a great view, especially at night.

The floors were very dusty and no slippers were provided (we usually get these provided to us at other hotels so didn't bring our own :( ) Also, requested our beds to be made but didn't happen. However, they did replace the towels and emptied the bins. Neighbours were very loud on one of the mornings and we could hear it as though they were in our room.

This hotel is in a great location. It is in a quiet street hidden away from a lively and exciting part of town. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and well presented. It is family and pet friendly. The staff are all friendly and will help you with any questions you have. The rooms are more spacious than expected and well worth the price we paid. Breakfast was continental style and was always fresh and well stocked. You will not be disappointed.

Just be aware if you have kids. It is located in a buzzing and lively area with several bars and clubs, including the world famous Moulin Rouge. But this also means that there are lots of modern supermarkets and other essential shops nearby.

We were three adults and four young children booking two suites a night for two nights. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and assisted us with items from the kitchen such as corkscrew, ice bowl, plates and cutlery. Special mention for Daniel who was very considerate. The breakfast provided good choices and was generous in portions. Great location with access to cafes, restaurants, wine shop, pharmacy and Galleries Lafayette - easy walk to the Louvre and boutique shops. We would stay there again next time we visit Paris.

I originally booked one suite and one double a night for two nights in March. I had wanted to book 2 suites a night for 2 nights to fully accommodate out party of 7 people. Eventually in May I found that I could replace the double bed studio with 2 separate suites for the 2 nights. I had to book with another email to secure the booking and I was unable to merge the bookings under the one name and email through Booking.com. It was frustrating not to be able to speak with anyone from Booking.com to sort this out.

We accommodated 7 people across two suites and we were very pleased. The staff were exceptional and made our visit so easy with 4 children and 3 adults. Breakfast was a treat with eggs, meats and cheeses as well as a great display of pastries and jams. The location is also just close by to some good restaurants and cafes, wine, beer and cheese shops and an easy 30 minute stroll to many Parisian attractions including the Louvre. We could see the Eiffel Tower from one of our suites. We will be back!

I'd like to have stayed longer with my family! And a well stocked convenience store would have been a bonus.

Great location. Refurbished room, with a good bed and the twin option that is great when travelling with a friend. Good bathroom with a great shower. Really a great value for money hotel in Paris that can be so expensive and not even offering good options for accommodation upon paying premium price. This hotel was a pleasant surprise that met all my needs and expectations and I would happily return next time I am in town.

The reception staff could be slightly warmer, they were polite but I think it lacks a bit of warmth/personalisation that would be very easy to fix. Please put a decent hairdryer in the rooms rather than having to ask you for one every morning because the one on the wall is useless for anyone with slightly longer hair (most women let's be honest).
