Villa Royale

I like the decor. Some will find it dated and want modern and hygge or sparse but I prefer the older style decor. It s beside the pigalle station and the Gustave Moreau museum is nearby. Breakfast is delivered to the room for everybody. Somebody at some point invested a lot of thought in the interior design with its carpeted walls and entrance lobby. The vanity unit in the bathroom was very nice.

The glass sliding door into the bathroom had been smashed at some point and nobody had replaced it. I could see the traces of smashed glass in the door roller overhead. The ceiling panel in the bathroom was not sealed and was loose.

Really nice staff, very helpful and accommodating, the room was lovely and had its charm, the two large windows facing out to bustling Paris was great for atmosphere, a little bonus is the metro is a one minute walk which is super helpful (shopping bags and luggage)

I can see some people picking up on a lot of little nuances but honestly it was just a lovely place to stay

The property was lovely and very central I had an issue with my AC not working in the single suite I had booked, but the kind staff upgraded me to a deluxe suite... with a jacuzzi!!! :D free of charge, due to the inconvenience I also had an issue late at night upon my arrival to the hotel- having forgotten to buy a plug adaptor before my journey! I had some vital documents to upload with the deadline being next day ...and I had my phone to charge! I went down to reception and the lovely staff gave me an adaptor - absolute life saver.

The elevator had some issues working some days In my single room- I was trying to look for something and shifted the bed; there was an old beer bottle underneath my bed which the cleaning staff had missed ... I assume they don’t clean under the beds properly then! It was quite noisy at night - but that’s not the property’s fault, more due to the fact that it’s so central and hence lots of tourists are out and about partying till ..6am!

Room was pretty nice, spacious and included a hot tub which you can rarely find. It also had a balcony which is very handy if you need a smoke. The location is very great as it is minutes aways from Montparnasse and there is quite a few things to do around. Also due to the hotel being extremely small, the breakfast is offered only as a room service which is very convenient.

The area is very very dodgy ! I wasn't aware of it but apparently this place is the red light district of Paris somehow. People always trying to grab you to get your attention for the "shows" and even food vendors try to steal from you , you can't even buy a crepe in the area without them trying to overcharge !

Breakfast was lovely and fresh , the location was great . The jacuzzi was brilliant . The room felt very calming .

Breakfast was served in the room. Goos choice of pastries and baguette, cold cuts. Location is noisy, next to clubs. But only 50m from the metro station, so very convenient. Close to Montmartre and the Moulin Rouge. Very friendly staff.

That the rooms weren't ready in time, but we were offered Champagne to compensate for the delay, which was much appreciated. One window didn't close properly, so it was extra noisy due to the night club outside. Some leftover garbage was left on the balcony by previous guests.

Manager of the hotel is VERY friendly and helpful to support you by any case. Furthermore, very nearby, the public transport like bus and underground. We booked for the room with an amazing, great bathtub. Windows are good isolated to prevent noise from outside because the hotel is located on Place Pigale so you need such windows

The only remark I have is there is no restaurant in the hotel. There are still some things to improve by their quality but, the manager who started 2 weeks ago is doing all his best to make you satisfied

staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, room was clean, in fact they cleaned our room every day. Interior was very unique and had antique furniture, the view was my favorite, you can see sacre cour from windows. they did perfect laundry of my jeans, breakfast was on time every single day and quite nice. one of the best parts was the location, walking distance from amazing things, everything within 20 minutes and metro in 1 minute, Moulin Rouge very close! the elevator was also my favorite, you have to see it. the size of the room was very nice and especially the bathroom was clean and spacious, especially for Paris. I loved the mood and vibes that this hotel has, I would definitely visit again!

The rooms are super spacious. The staff are great and the hotel is very secure. Storage space in the room was very good as was the quality of the bathroom.

Very strange but my room had no door for the toilet! I dont know if this is only for solo travellers... The decor is very outdated too which may put some people off (not myself)

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Incredibly charming. Unbelievably romantic. Fantastic balcony overlooking the bustle of Pigalle. Great bathtub. Staff was warm, welcoming, and even gave us a fantastic late night Parisian history lesson one night.

While some things were a little shabby at first glance (chipped bathtub, well-worn furniture), the charm grew on me as we stayed. In-room breakfast was lovely, though our card didn’t get picked up on the last night so our order was wrong. Still, these things did not detract from our enjoyment.
