Paris Bastille

Fantastic location and lovely little hotel. We had a triple room for myself and 2 young adult children. It was really comfortable and exceeded our expectations. Good shower! We opted for the save the planet option and took the breakfast which was simple but really nice. Bastille a good base to explore Paris (hotel right by metro) and lots of lovely places to eat at night that weren’t too expensive. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely return.

Some communal bits of the hotel maybe needed a refresh, but it was clean and very comfortable so no impact on us at all.

Staff super, helpful. 100% available, always on reception. Hotel v safe. Bathroom excellent too. Huge shower. Air con. No long corridors! Location: direct metro from Eurostar Gate du Nird & 91 bus too, direct to/from GdN. A quick hop around Bastille to Le Marais (my favourite), on the Seine for river walks & Promenade des Plants starts opposite! OK, we've stayed here numerous times. Super value too. This trip to visit Fondation Louis Vuitton & metro all the way! (We walked to St Paul, one arret further to catch metro as a fun walk. Easy walk to Canal St Martin, a different vibe to Marais.

Nothing! Particularly loved the choice of "no room service/ no bed making / no clean sheets ot towels " for a two night stay. Environmentally sensible and not a hardship!

The hotel is located in a very centralized location. You exit the hotel, look to your left and see the Bastille monument. The Metro is a minute away - line no. 1 which is a central line. The area is spread with many restaurants, cafe, patisserie etc. The team is very friendly! very helpful, kind and it includes the team at the breakfast. The hotel has a nice bar with reasonable prices. We stored our loggage the day we checked out until we left to the airport. If I come back to Paris I want to reach this hotel again!

Overall all is more then good. I wish the breakfast (which is good) could have some vegetables. As I said, I want to return to this hotel :)

Very close to the Metro stop "Bastille" and right across the street from the Opera Bastille. The hotel was MUCH better than we expected. The front desk staff person was very nice and checked us in quickly. Our room was on the 4th floor on the back side of the building and the window was facing a quiet street (relatively quiet for Paris in any case). The room was perfect. It had obviously been redone recently. Extremely clean, modern with cool lights and a nice walk in shower and air-conditioning that worked great. Even the mattresses seemed to be new and of good quality and the light switches next to the bed include electric and USB plugs . Definitely a great little hotel with an affordable price for Paris. We didn't partake of their breakfast so no review for that.

This is a nice, convenient hotel. Nice reception. Relaxed, clean place. Nice breakfast which wasn't crowded when we went. Loved the location to walk to Marais, the Metro and to the Gare du Lyon for the train. Would recommend. I appreciated the small shelves above the desk to organize our things.

We requested a 4 person room for our family of 4. They pull down a murphy bed. The room was fine for us, but would definitely be tight if you have large luggage. (We only had carry-on luggage.). It was fine for us for one night. I'd get two rooms for a longer stay.

The spacious, comfortable junior suite (with two bathrooms) was perfect for four adults. We loved the well-equipped room (kettle, fridge, super-effective soundproofing) and the excellent buffet breakfast. Location was great: a short walk from Bastille Metro station, with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Staff took pride in their work and were warm and welcoming at all times. Highly recommended!

The breakfast room is small and gets crowded, but this can easily be resolved by going down for breakfast earlier!

Stayed before,the rooms are slightly larger than your average paris hotel,bastille is a good location ,,walking g distance to natural history museum,and other sightseeing attractions very good metro and bus links,only down side ,French emergency sirens seem to blast out all night and day. The hotel staff are all very good especially Stephanie

Noise at night ,mainly police, close the window and put air Con on,worked for us .

The room was perfect in size, cleanliness and comfort for what we expected. The location was great. We could walk to many sites and take the metro to the rest.

It wasn't clear how to adjust the room's temperature (for a few nights we could control the thermostat, for a few we had to call down to the front desk, which wasn't stated anywhere). We chose the Eco option when making the reservation (for no room cleaning, no new towels). This was fine, but by the time we arrived I had forgotten I had chosen that, and a quick summary upon check-in would have been helpful. (For instance, I don't know if that included not being able to have clean glasses for coffee, and more coffee packets in the morning). The internet went out for 12-24 hours which was difficult because we didn't have it on our phones and had to find wifi elsewhere.

The staff were excellent,especially Stephanie at main reception, always helpful and made you feel welcome. We read some reviews about not be able to use your room during the day,we didn't,have this problem,if you feel you need the room ,for the day ,cancel the cleaner. Breakfast was good ,hot and cold buffet,the young lad in there always has a smile on his face and helpful. The rooms were of a fare size ,especially for paris,you can't swing a cat in some ,these are the size of a British travelodge ish, and quiet,the windows cut down street noise,apart from the usual emergency sirens ,(often, during the day). Really close to metro and buses. Would I use again ,definitely, well priced and friendly

The wife thought the bed was hard ,I thought it was fine

location was excellent- close to metro and many restaurants, bars etc…/ breakfast was perfect- just enough choices and great coffee/fresh squeezed orange juice. Beds were comfortable- rooms ok size, but did not spend much time in them anyway!

as small hotel- rooms close together so can hear doors slamming and unfortunately had young group that kept us up first night slamming doors until 2am. did hear them being reprimanded coincidently next day by their chaperone as complaints from others in hotel - so hotel did obviously deal with it.
