Hotel Albe Bastille

For a mid range Paris hotel, this place is exceptional. I am not rating them 10 because I did not try the breakfast, but I'll come back and try it! The entrance/reception area is small but welcoming. Members of staff are extremely attentive and communicate well. My room was not huge but a good size by Parisian standards. It was spotlessly clean, and everything felt well looked after. The bed was supercomfortable with lovely sheets. The bathroom was renovated and spotless.

Clean, bright updated rooms, in a classic charming building. Elevator. Near restaurants, bus, Metro, markets. Nice neighborhood, without super-tourist-y bustle. Quiet, comfortable. Helpful staff. One of the nicest places I've stayed in Paris.

The hotel was easy to find and in a great location for accessing Gare de Lyon (only a 5 minute walk). The are offers a range of restaurants and bars, and it's possible to wander down to the Seine and admire the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame at a distance. The hotel was nicely decorated and the room offered everything I needed.

As my room was on the street, there was quite a bit of "city" noise going into the evening. However, this did not stop me sleeping and wouldn't put me off booking again. Some aspects of the bathroom were a little tired (such as a crack in the glass shelf under the sink, the knob that adjusted the water between the bath and shower fell off) but I still think this hotel offer excellent value for money.

Central and quiet even if 3 restaurants were just outside the door. The room was very clean. This is very important to me. The staff was very nice. In the day we arrived, one of the receptionist was extremely nice. Unfortunately I don't remember her name (she is originally from Greece).

I don't have much to complain of. I wished the room would be a bit larger but overall it had everything needed.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Location was great. Near metro, boulangerie and local restaurants. Close enough to the tourist spots without being in the touristy spots. Live like an authentic Parisian. Open windows to a French style view balcony. Felt safe walking late night. Liked that recycling options were available. Thanks Sotiria and staff for making our stay very enjoyable.

Rooms / bathroom a little tight

The room was spacious bed was very comfy was very close to lots of restaurants and bars highly recommend cafe quai 33 went there everyday we were there. Not far from the centre of Paris could walk into the centre if you have strong legs and also close to the metro and buses. 50 mins from airport on transport highly recommend.

We did find a few hairs in the bathroom but wasn't a big deal. We was told we could leave our cases in the store room but on the day was told we couldn't as it was full. So just bare in mind if wanting to drop cases off. Also keep in mind if any events are on as me and partner weren't aware it was pride and there was numerous roads closed and it made it difficult to find hotel.

The location is perfect. the neighborhood is quite but full of cafes, restaurants, bakeries and shops. ıt is further away from the central Bastille, but close enough to walk to night life activities. The breakfast was very satisfying. Good coffee, cheese, jams, bread types, etc. Very good indeed. We particularly liked the attitude and kindness of staff (reception, cleaning, breakfast ladies). Reading some of the comments, we were worried about wifi. But we pleasently found out that it works perfectly. Fast and reliable.

The hotel is small and dated. There are probably 15 or so rooms. oldness gives charm but also has problems. In our room, the toilet and the bathroom were separate and the toilet room squeaked a lot, and was very difficult to close. You had to lock it to completely close, a noisy and annoying activity.

The bed was excellent. The neighbourhood while lively during the day, was really quiet at night even in a street facing room. The garden courtyard behind the hotel was a complete surprise. Breakfast was simple yet adequate. Very close to Gare de Lyon and to a good metro stop.

The hotel bar could include rosè wine in addition to white and red. An excellent wine store is next door to the hotel so many options.

Great location!! You are near Gare de Lyon and Place de la Bastille. I actually walked to Notre Dame, Jardin du Luxemburg, Pantheon, etc... A typical Boulangerie in the corner, 4 blocks to the Seine. Good breakfast. Not much variety but delicious croissants (regulars and filled with chocolate), chocolate powder, ham, cheese, salami, toasts, baguette, jam, juice, yoghurt, boiled eggs, and even Nutela!

Small room, unconfortable bed (specially the coach for the children).
