wonderful friendly daytime manager who was a joy to visit with and was very helpful n

stayed in room 201, don’t know if this applies to any other rooms, but out king mattress was old and very sunken each side. it made the bed very unpleasant. our son and his wife were in 202. they said their mattress was fine

perfectly placed to explore the Marais. plenty of cafes and restaurants closeby.

The base of the bed had Velcro around the top which catches in your legs

We had adjoining rooms which were two separate rooms with separate baths connected by a private corridor. This worked out perfectly with our teenagers in one room and my wife and I in other. You could prop the doors open between the rooms into the private corridor if you wanted more connection. This may work better with smaller children. A breakfast was available but we chose to try a few different cafes nearby. It worked out well. Bastille metro was very close. Room and hotel met out expectations.

Room was small but comfortable. It was very warm in Paris during our stay so the air conditioning was a bonus. Very quiet room away from the street. Short walk to some nice restaurants and Bastille Metro station. Welcoming bottle of wine was much appreciated. Friendly people at the desk who kindly printed documents for us on a few occasions.

A little small, but most European rooms are. No good sized coffee cups.

location was wonderful for access to everything - metro, restaurants, opera and shopping!

The room was a bit cramped to walk around the bed.

The location is great, convenient and central. Close to metro and buses. The staff was friendly. And the bottle of wine an original and appreciated gesture. We did not have breakfast, so no feedback on that. The room and bathroom size is ok. The reception area is well decorated/designed. I can recommend this hotel/location for a wonderful stay in Paris. Close by are some shops where you can by something to drink or eat. Also several restaurants nearby.

The hotel could use some upgrades here and there, but probably delayed due to COVID. Some things did not work as they should. We arrived early and our room was not ready yet. Understand that the cleaning staff follows the cleaning schedule but it would have been nice if we could have had the room earlier. Not a big problem as there was internet and a nice reception area.

Seriously... the location was EVERYTHING! There were a few things I could complain about, but why? I enjoyed my stay. I think my only concern is with the time check out and changing the bedding. My first afternoon after 1 or 13hr, I was surprised to see people in my room. I'm not leaving I thought. And all I wanted to do was take a quick nap. A huge process. Next day...same issue. I came back before check out to charge my phone and take a quick nap, but couldn't because they were already there to take my room apart at 10:45. Check out is at NOON! So my only complaint is that

The cleaning room thing....if I'm not checking out....don't clean my room or ask. If I do not check out until AFTER NOON...don't start cleaning at 10!

The staff Spoke English and were very helpful. Location at first site didn’t seem great but we soon realized it was a great location, close to everything, metro, food, shopping, restaurants, markets etc we couldn’t have been happier. Nice neighborhood with very nice people

As is the case in Europe all places are a tad small but it work well for us.

Yes it's a little old fashioned, but we were pleasantly surprised by the Castax. - The bed was super comfy - The location is incredibly good, nothing else for the price that we booked the Castax for would have allowed us to stay so centrally for the same money. The value for money was incredible. - The tall narrow terrace in which the hotel is located gives the feel of living like a real Parisian. - A lovely bottle of wine was included. - The reception staff were helpful and friendly. - The shower while small was very powerful. - Particularly close to the Bastille tube station, which has line 5 directly to Gard Du Nord, great for getting the Eurostar. - Luggage room, we left luggage there on checkout and picked it up again at 17:30.

We did not take the option of Breakfast so I cannot comment on it. As others have said if you want a modern chain hotel style large room, recently refurbished and with modern decor, this is not it. We however, found it charming.

The room was fab & clean, even though we were on a road, it was quiet. Breakfast was good. Location was ok for everything we needed to do. On the last day we were able to store our luggage until we had to leave so was able to explore a bit more

Breakfast could've had a few more options. Staff on reception could have been more helpful.
