Relais Du Louvre

The location of this property is perfect! Many of the great sites and attractions are within walking distance and our room overlooked a beautiful cathedral. We were initially a bit worried about the church bells waking us up (our view was an old cathedral), but didn’t hear the bells unless we openend the windows and paid attention to it! The room isn’t necessarily very big, but because of the high ceilings, it feels spacious (yet cozy/romantic). The beautiful building maintains its historical significance in its interior and vibe, but has a small elevator (so you won’t have to carry luggage upstairs)! The staff was incredibly friendly and spoke fluent English (this made asking for recommendations and/or directions a lot easier). They offered bringing our luggage upstairs and we’re proactive with what our needs could be. The staff is at the desk 24/7 and very happy to help! Breakfast was served to the rooms and my partner and I loved having our breakfast in bed! There is also a table in the room, in case you prefer to sit down to eat. the room was very clean when we arrived and was cleaned very well whenever we were out during the day.

We opted for our own snacks and wine, but if you were planning on emptying the mini bar: you’ll probably spend quite a bit more than just going to the shop (in short: the mini bar prices are a little pricey). This is of course common for hotels, but I would recommend bringing some of your own goodies for your convenience. Also, make sure to get your Louvre (and other tickets) in advance, as you’ll need to book time slots and tickets go quite fast.

Hotel very well located, right accross the street from the louvre. The staff is very polite and helpful. Nice breakfast. Big room, I stayed in 62.

I personally did not like the room/bathroom decoration, but it is a matter of taste. The bathroom is very simple, although it did have a bathtub. My Room had a water stain in the ceiling right above the bedhead, which gives a bad impression. The toilet heater was broken, so using it in a winter morning was rather painful.

I have been in many 4 star hotels, Le Relais du Louvre is one of the best. Central location, just next to the Louvre, with 2 Metro stations around the courner (Pont Neuf, Metro line 7, and Lourve-Rivoli, Metro line 1… both are 1-2 minutes walk from the hotel), which makes it very easy to move around the city of Paris. The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and cozy. Very quiet comparing to the central location. Good price comparing to other 4 star hotels and the high standards of this hotel. It’ll be ranked high in my favorite list of places to stay in for future visits to Paris. Highly recomended!

Fantastic location in the 1st arrondissement. Only a block away from the Louvre and block away from Pont Neuf. Easy metro access for all Paris tourist places. Small boutique hotel on quiet street. Room 22 faced interior courtyard. No noise at night! Superior double room was as pictured. Nice size, comfortable bed, and bathroom full of amenities. No restaurant in hotel but several 5 minutes walking distance. We loved having breakfast tray brought to room every morning.

Pricey but worth it

It was a beautiful room - on the top floor -perhaps the attic area. We had a gorgeous view of the Louvre through a large open window and window sill big and comfy to sit on and breathe the air in the morning. We loved our room - the kitchen/bathroom area was ideal, although toilet and shower space small, the design and set out of the room created space to move. And the bath - having a bath in the open space with the window wide open and the sun streaming through - magical.

The weather! Unfortunately, Paris was a little cooler and wetter than I had hoped for. However, location is great and plenty of umbrellas in the lobby!

Perfect. Close to the Louvre, Seine, Tuileries and more. Less than 3 minutes walk to Louvre-Rivoli metro station, and to bus station that will take you close to the Eiffel tower. The room Have AC, and the staff are always happy to help, including when I needed to print few pages. My room could easily fit for 2 people. You can find everything you need on the main street near the hotel. Plus the hotel staff updated about the Bastille fireworks with recommendations where you can see it. I stayed for 12 nights 🙂

No insects net on the window. At night it can be a problem to keep the window open because of the insects .

The Property is Located bang in the Centre of Paris there cannot be any better location , it’s a small and charming property managed by very well trained and very kind and courteous personnel. on our arrival we were treated with a lot of kindness and the manager on the desk went out of the way to inform us about the location and accessibility etc gave us maps and guides and ensured that we understood well the location as well as how to get around. The Rooms were clean , cozy and comfortable. The Breakfast served in the Room was sumptuous and very filling and of very high quality and taste. We enjoyed our stay and was able to visit practically all over Paris easily by walking. The staffs are warm, friendly & happy to help - Thomas in particular. Location is amazing - a short walkable distance to & fro the Louvre, it's really near the Louvre-Rivoli metro station, & it's near a ton of shopping outlets. The Double Room is cozy & its tall window overlooks the gothic architecture of Saint Germain l'Auxerrois.

The Double Room was described with a view of the Louvre & the church; I found out after that no hotel offers a view of the Louvre. What they mean is you can pop your head out the window, look to your left & see the Louvre (not the pyramids btw). I felt a little deceived, but if you think about it, truly no hotel is near enough to give a direct view of the Louvre.

The staff were extremely friendly. The location was perfect and the rooms were nicely furnished. My view was gorgeous. I have no faults.

Fabulous location. Top notch. The staff here were so accommodating and friendly. I had a packed day of excursions and a slightly early arrival on day 1 but having emailed the reception in advance, I was delighted that they had gone the extra mile so my room could be available earlier. This made a huge difference to my day. The room was well appointed as a single including a safe, stocked minibar and lovely organic toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast is served in the room which is okay, although personally I do prefer a breakfast room. Breakfast is continental which suited me and there was a good range of items to pre-order including teas, coffee, chocolate, organic butter, quality jam and honey, ham, processed cheese, rolls, pastries, fruit and fresh orange juice. I probably would have preferred different cheeses, maybe as a small platter, but it was a nice breakfast and set me up for the day. The minibar selection was well priced and welcome after a long day out and about. It was great to have half bottles of wine in there as well as water, crisps , chocolate etc. There are tea making facilities but just a Lipton Yellow bag and coffee sachet. I'm sure the hotel would have supplied different kinds of tea if I'd asked but I tend to bring my own tea anyway. I asked for guidance as to a restaurant and was directed to one nearby that was so outstanding I went two nights running. Reception was very helpful with directions and everyone speaks excellent English. I would definitely come back.

Not much, mostly fabulous. One small thing for me. I was in a single room (which was well appointed and had good spacing and facilities) but view wise I was a little disappointed. Although I was on the 4th floor and light was okay, I'm not really an inner courtyard person so for me I would have preferred a different outlook BUT I don't know if that would even have been a possibility. Paris is full of buildings just like this and someone has to face inwards. I suspect the double rooms earn the views. I meant to ask on my departure but forgot. Don't let that put you off. Just ask for a view if that's your thing. The aircon made the room a little chilly so I tended to use it to cool the room before bed.
