Hôtel Victoria Châtelet

The staff at the front desk were wonderful and friendly. Suggested places to watch the fireworks on 14 July. Fantastic location, close to Rue de Rivoli and the Seine, Notre Dame etc. Windows shut out any noise at night. Beds were very comfy. Front desk staff gave us extra coat hangers/suitcase stand, they couldn’t do enough to help. I’d definitely stay here again.

The first room we had on our first stay we couldn’t get wifi at all. Staff changed our rooms for our second stay a week later , the no problems. Rooms weren’t replenished with toilet paper, sugar etc on occasions, but front desk sorted it quickly. Quite expensive for an average hotel, but that’s Paris.

Staff is the best, everyone who were working in Reception were very friendly and helpfull. Always in good form and smiling. Location is amazing, 2 mins walking to the metro station, 2 mins to the Sienne, 15 mins to The Louve Museum and 7 mins to the RER station if the plan is going to Disney. Plenty of Restaurants, cafes and shops around Room was in the 3rd floor, there is a lift but was easy coming up and down by stairs, wifi was ok. Bed was very comfortable, very clean bathroom, nice shower, hot water all the time, shampoo and shower gel was provided. Room were cleaned everyday, we had a wardrobe for clothes and bags, there is not a/c but there was a fan and with the window open we really didnt need the fan all night. Having a fridge was very handy to keep cold water, also there was a kettle and coffee and tea. We didnt have the opportunity to try the breakfast We think was a great value for being in a such good location in Paris. We love it and no doubt to come back.

Eveeything was perfect

The staff at the hotel were exceptionally helpful and the location of the hotel - in the heart of Paris - could not be beaten. You walk out the door, turn right, take 30 paces and can see Notre Dame! It made for a perfect central spot to plan our time there. Staff were also quick to adjust our stay time and to respond to e-mail queries before our arrival! :-)

The elevator and rooms are quite small, with there being barely enough room to turn around in the shower stall. It took us two trips to get ourselves into the room. Ours had a sloped ceiling, so I had to duck in the far end of the room, but it added a quaintness to the experience and my wife loved the room despite its size. Plus, with the affordable rate we were given, we were not expecting luxury!

Great location. Right in the heart of where you need to be in Paris. Its a 'drop your bag and walk' location. So much to see and do without even getting onto the metro. This is my favourite hotel that I have returned to quite a few times now and recommended to others who also try to stay here when they visit the city. The rooms are average size - (its an old building after all) - its not extravagantly refurbished - but it has been updated - has everything you need, is very comfortable, everything works, its clean, has a lift BUT best of all - it has a lovely feeling when you walk through the front doors into a very attractive little foyer and are greeted by the wonderful people who own and run this hotel. They are all generously helpful, cheerful and welcoming.

We stayed at this hotel twice in two different rooms.First time around the room was great.Clean, enough space, great view.Super clean and newly renovated bathroom.Second time we stayed on a first floor, but on the elevator u have to press "ES"- that room wasn't as good.Kinda dark,the rug was a little worn out.But in both rooms the bathrooms are exellent.So, overall it's a great charming hotel with great staff, and of course location,location,location!

The location is great! I could easily walk to all the places I wanted to visit. The room was very clean. The staff is really nice! Overall I had a really good experience.

It was a bit loud with the open window, as there is a bar right outside. The room was a bit outdated and dark. I expected something nicer according to the pictures.

We had a lovely stay in Paris. The location of this hotel is excellent, only 2 mins walk from a metro stop. Lots of bars and cafes within short walking distance. The area felt very safe and we felt comfortable walking around this part of the city after dark. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in an old historic building and therefore the rooms are on the smaller side but still very cosy and comfortable. There was a safe in the room to leave valuables.

Excellent location! Beds were comfy, bathrooms were reasonably sized. No air conditioning though, so be aware of that.

Generally a reasonable hotel for a reasonable price. Air Conditioning would have been nice, but wasn't expected.

All the staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem. The location is fantastic. Very close proximity to Louvre and Notre Damme.

The bathroom is very small, Breakfast could have included more protein based options and maybe some background music would have have been nice otherwise nothing to complain about.

I visited Paris to see the Christo and Jeanne-Claude Arc de Triomphe wrapped and to fit a huge culture weekend around that highlight. The hotel was superb in terms of location. Taxis are a pain in Paris (congestion, high €€), but the hotel was a perfect gateway to public transport, with multiple Metro and train lines running from very close by stations. My twin room was small, but perfectly clean and equipped. We were on the 3rd floor, and there was no noise either from the street or from the hotel corridor. The hotel receptionist was only too happy to print out paper versions of the various museum ticket bookings we were making. Recommended!
