Mercure Paris CDG Airport & Convention

This hotel is very very convenient for travellers flying from the airport. There are a number of hotels all in the same area. Using the mini train that travels between terminal 1 2 and 3 this hotel is situated between the terminals. It's a 4 minute walk from the mini train station. Very convenient. Also the gym has one treadmill and 1 bike and a swimming pool which was fantastic after a holiday and prepares one for the flight the next day. The staff were friendly and hotel room was nicely decorated and very comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again There was a kettle and a mini fridge in the room also which was great. There is a marks and Spencer shop at one of the terminals so it was very handy to have a cup of tea and food watching tv in the room after a swim

Booked taxi at hotel for early pick up 3am to go to airport. Driver arrived ( not a taxi. Private transport company maybe).I ask if I could pay with card. He said no problem. On arrival at at airport driver said did the hotel tell you it’s 25euro fixed price. No they didn’t.Then says his card machine isn’t working. So I had no cash end up having to go in to the airport getting cash. Driver only had 15 euro in change ( nothing else open at that time in Airport . So a 4 minute taxi ride cost me $35 euros. Maybe not hotel’s fault but could be more coherent. If it is 25 euro flat rate so be it, if it’s cash only so be it. It would of been nice to know. Obviously the hotel use the same taxi service all the time as they booked it for me.

Standard airport hotel. Not luxurious but clean and close to the airport. Less than 10-mins walking distance to CDG VAL shuttle. Great for early flight travellers.

There was a crazy loud alarm went off around 1 or 2 a.m. We were confused and worried about what's happening. After 5-10 minutes, there was a hotel staff came to the corridor to tell everyone to go back to their room without any explanation or apologies. No broadcast to reassure guests what's happening. And the loud alarm was finally turned off after another 5 minutes. The hotel staff did not explain or apologize the next day when we check out, like nothing happened. It's very disappointing how a 4-star hotel handled this situation. There should be a better SOP for hotel staff to quickly respond and communicate to guests in such situations. .

The beds were prepared as twins per our request and they were very comfortable. Bathroom a very comfortable size with plenty of soap and cups.

There was only one bedside stand. Dinner was presented as a buffet only although the food was excellent. There was a small step up to enter the bathroom which is learned the hard way of hitting it with the toe of your foot or shoe. (Worst feature of room). I would have liked a location that did not require hiring a taxi or uber for transportation to and from airport.

Clean, modern rooms. Very quiet. Friendly efficient staff. Good breakfast buffet from 5.30 am so good for those needing early check in. Yummy room service food. Good for getting to & from terminals using CDGVal only 5 mins flat walk from hotel so pulling luggage is ok ( the whether was dry though - would not have been so great in the rain!)

I was not that keen on the evening dinner buffet - seemed expensive for what it was. Room service was better value.

Front desk staff very friendly and efficient

Restaurant greeter service was not pleasant. She brought out a meal to me which was not mine and insisted it was. Then took it away and brought out another small side dish and insisted it was mine and again it was not. I called another server over and showed them menu item I had ordered and they agreed i was not given the right meal. She never came by to apologize or ask if i needed anyyhing else and therefore my order was never served to me. I left without eating. All other staff was great except her. She could take a lesson from front desk staff

Friendly and helpful staff, quick check-ins and check-outs, secure floor access by elevator, good car parking fees (25 euro per night), restaurant dinner buffuet is excellent with raesonable price, no chargable mini bar, good air conditioning (cooling during August); cost-benifit value is excellent

No drawers in bed tables (it is to contain personal gadgets like phone/chargers/earphones wallet/keys/...etc); pillows are too squishy not supporting comfortable head posture during sleep (suggest to add doible pllows or change pillows specs)

The hotel had a bar and buffet for dinner.

We asked the front desk simple questions about a close golf club. I would think a hotel front desk should be familiar with the area of the hotel knowing out of town guest will be asking simple travel questions. We had to Google it to figure everything. This golf course was 2 miles from the hotel and all 3 clerks knew nothing.

That we ended up with two rooms with adjoining door - a huge blessing as we had 5 weeks worth of travel & bags to sort out before flying out the next day.

That we just wanted an ice bucket & we had to communicate with the bar, room service, the restaurant and the front desk. All weren’t talking to each other. We ended up having to walk to the bar & get it ourselves
