Novotel Paris Saint Denis Stade Basilique

spacious suite, complementary soft drinks in the mini bar, coffee pod machine in room, very comfy mattress, roof terrace with view of Stade de France. friendly, helpful staff.

the pillows on our bed were terrible (like 2 small pillows in one case but we asked for more pillows which were provided and were ok. not enough staff working on the bar after the concert, it was very slow to get a drink and despite getting back to the hotel quickly, by the time we were served the food had finished. a pre order service would be a better idea and having more staff too. air conditioning in room does not get cold enough for a large suite, the double bedroom part of suite always too hot. not enough plug sockets for a family to charge phones, watches etc. No USB sockets.

We chose this hotel for its close proximity to the Stade Français, where we attended the Coldplay concert. The premises were modern, clean and comfortable, and access by Metro from Paris city centre is easy, with the station just in front of the hotel.

Considering that the hotel is situated in one of the worst areas of Paris, the price of over €200/night is expensive....but it was the time of the Coldplay concerts at the nearby Stade Francais, so we expected this. But, we decided not to pay the additional €20/person for breakfast. The staff in the bar did not seem very competent. St Denis is not an area of Paris that most people would visit unless they had to.

The room was big, felt also that everything was quite new - cozy large bed and also a separate sofa and a desk to work from. Bathroom was nice and clean too. Metro stop right outside the door. Not too far from central train station by taxi. Breakfast was nice, with a decent selection of food, juices etc.

The area right outside is a bit uncomfortable, you can see people dealing with something (probably drugs) - I found later the neighborhood isn't great there. The door entrance had a broken glass which was taped together. It just added a bit to the bad feeling of the surrounding just outside upon arrival.

The location is just outside the low emission zone. 2 meters away from the metro station. Friendly staffs. Nice restaurant. We have reached the hotel around 10PM and took the metro to go to Eiffel tower, the receptionist explained the metro details very well. Since it was crowded we took Uber while coming and used Uber for city travel for rest of the days.

We have booked 3 rooms for 9 guests. In one of the rooms the wash basin water was not draining properly.

We booked for one night to be close to the Stade de France for ease of getting our children back after a concert. It ticked every box for this, the staff were very friendly and helpful too. We were there for only 17 hours but the food we had before the concert was really nice, cannot comment on breakfast. It was very late when we returned and security was on the door to help us in immediately.

We had no problems during our stay. We were all sharing a room as a family of 4 which was fine for one night but would have been cramped for a longer stay.

Everything. We stayed one night for a concert at the Stade de France. You could not get a better hotel near the Stade. Metro in front of the door to take you in and out of the city. Room was ready early so we could leave our things. Friendly and fast staff. Breakfast was absolutely satisfying. What a relief to go home after the concert in 5 minutes without having to bother about train or metro.

Small things. Soap dispenser was empty in the bathroom and remote for TV did not work (probably batterie empty as well). Nothing serious. We did not use it anyway.

one of the receptionist called Bilaal, was non welcoming, and was continuously on his phone while dealing with customers. Rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. None of the hotels fault but hotels doors open to the Metro station entry point and you are always surrounded by the people selling cigarettes! really annoying.

This hotel suited our needs perfectly. We were travelling from south of France with a rental car and needed to return it at CGD airport before a 24 hour flight. This hotel has secure parking outside the congestion zone and was perfect to park at and enjoy an evening in Paris before our flight. Rooms were comfy and clean. I'm aware the location is known for being a bit dodgy however the hotel entrance is right beside the metro station entrance so this was not a concern for us.

Loved how the hotel was right next to the Metro station. Made travelling into the city a lot easier. The reception staff were extremely helpful. Room was very comfortable and plenty of storage space.

Choice of food for breakfast was strange. Plenty of cereal, cheese, but hot sausages and no other hot food was confusing. No eggs. Why sausages? It was €20 each, that's a lot to have half a menu. Windows in bedrooms open like doors. All the way out. Terrible design with young children in rooms. They can climb on the sofa, open the window and fall floors down potentially. Couldn't lock it. Had to keep the curtains closed at all time just to divert my toddlers attention away from the window.

Breakfast was quite poor if you are a meat lover, but quite diverse in the other aspects. Room was big and beds very comfortable, perfect for rest after a whole day of site seeing.

Staff are friendly but they are very slow. Also, not speaking ENGLISH is a very annoying thing.
