Hôtel Le Versailles

This hotel is just spectacular. It's location, immediately outside the palace of Versailles, could not be better, and each room (I've stayed in two so far) seems to have stunning decoration - vast wall murals of the palace. They are also really spacious. It feels like a real luxury stay and I very much hope to come back here.

It's a very small thing, but the lady on reception advised us wrongly, saying we had to pay to enter Le Grand Canal area of the Palace gardens. You don't have to pay. That part is free! Given how close they are to the Palace, staff should probably know it's policies! But honestly, this is such a tiny thing and the lady was perfectly polite, even if she got it wrong!

This was my third stay at Hotel Le Versailles. It is the closest hotel to the Chateau and I will book again next year. The staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is very good, beds exceed expectations, I always sleep very well and the mattress and sheets are great, the hotel is quiet and very convenient. The hotel is very clean. Nice shower.

The bathrooms can be very small and without any counter space, nor even a shelf, upon which to put your toiletries. I had to place my toiletries on the floor, as literally, just a sink. The bathrooms need a redesign as soon as possible. No bidet in the bathrooms.

We loved the location within walking distance to Versailles and the nearby restaurants. The room was nice and large, and the decor was very attractive and appropriate. The bathroom with gold trim was beautiful and not over the top. The best thing about the location was we were able to tour the Palace during the day and since it was a Saturday, we were able to walk back over to the gardens in the evening for the Nighttime Fountain Show and Fireworks which I think we enjoyed more than the palace tour! Afterword, we could easily walk back over to the Hotel Le Versailles.

There wasn't a restaurant or breakfast available onsite during our stay. A continental breakfast of breads and pastries was brought to our room, but we would have preferred something with some protein (i.e. eggs, yogurt, bacon or other meat).

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. After a long journey, the beds were extremely comfortable and we loved the tea and complimentary chocolate, much better than any other hotel we visited, and much cleaner too! The hotel is extremely close to the palace, making it a very convenient location if you want to see the palace and its gardens and head back into Paris. The breakfast served was delicious and the best we had during our time in France.

The lights turned off automatically after a certain period of time if the keycard was removed, which was a little surprising but not at all a negative.

This hotel was very close to Palace of Versailles (walking distance). The room was very big and the bathroom was big. All the staff was excellent especially the ladies at the front desk. The breakfast was excellent. I also liked that you could get water bottle refilled from kitchen staff. The property had a cute courtyard where we sat and enjoyed our wine.

I did not like that the hotel, and especially the room, had a strong potpourri (flowery smell) or air freshner smell. It gave me a headache. They might try to tone that down a bit.

There are lot of things that we liked - - Location was superb both from the Station and the Versailles Palace (this was just a 3-4 min walk) - Room ambience and size were excellent. The overall comfort level was simply superb. Wall to wall carpet and a separate closet area attached to a nice and clean bathroom were really appreciable. The towels provided were very soft. - Room was pretty warm despite the fact that the outside temperature was pretty low and soggy - All the eateries and shopping areas were just a few minutes of walk - Staffs were very nice and helpful - Breakfast was very good

Honestly, I liked almost everything at the hotel. Nothing really to complain

Reception staff good. Staff at breakfast good. Public space decor good. Bathroom very well appointed. Also very good lighting in bathroom and full length mirror in entrance to room. Windows that open. No silly bits that are not functional. A wonderful stay. Just what I wanted.

Only problem Canal+ for some reason not working. Could not see the game between Paris SG and Bruges.

On arrival we were nicely welcomed, given clear instructions to access the secure underground car park and then easily booked into the hotel. The room was very impressive, good size, coffee facilities and a great shower! Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice between hot and cold, sweet and savoury. The hotel location is perfect for visiting the Palace and the market area full of bars and restaurants.

The bar price, but the pouring was generous! The lift (elevator) is small which could cause delays at peak breakfast time, but this is being picky. Nothing to warrant serious complaint from us.

A perfect location for visiting the Palace of Versailles with a 5 minute walk to the gates of the Palace. The reason for the visit was my wifes 50th birthday so the choice of hotel had to be on point. The hotel didn't disappoint. On arrival we were met by Edith on reception who kindly upgraded us to a Premier Suite, which was wonderful. In fact throughout our stay Edith was very helpful in providing information and always had a smile. The bonus of the underground parking for the car was great. Be aware though SUV's may struggle a little but careful navigation you're good to go. The walk to the train station is only a 15 minute walk so good access to and from Paris. A lovely hotel and would definitely recommend!

The only down side was the reception from the breakfast team, in particular Patrick, who met me with a grunt in the morning instead of a warm welcome. All of the staff were very friendly but this one gentleman lets the side down I'm afraid.

Perfect location for visiting Versailles, some good restaurants nearby. Secure underground parking was excellent. Staff were delightful, however the hotel felt very utilitarian, the rooms were adequate but tired, ie: worn out headboard which shed black bits on the pillows, furnishings purposeful but not luxurious and bathroom very average.

Room not very clean, furniture worn in places, breakfast very average, not much choice.
