Athens City Hotel

For me - as a simple place to put lagedge and a sleep over, it is perfect, my room was clean, air conditioned, great bathroom with hot water, very dull symple breakfast, friendly stuff that try to help for a turist. it is located in 'kind of main street' but - and that's an issue - a bit far from the center - Omonia etc'. that means 2 things - the street at night is noisy of traffic - not fun, but i got used to it. 2nd thing - to get to the center you to take a bus (7 min ride, 24/7 - very good and simple way) or take a cab, - or - walk down the street and have fun from the city around (recommended) That said - location is not the hotels fault, the traffic also, so if its not a big deal for you, it wouldnt be a problem As for the pricing - for me it was aligned with my expectations very well - so- i will return to this nice & friendly hotel :)

Location was good with bus and metro options to the city center. Breakfast is reasonable okay. Room was comfortable... wifi internet would be better...

Bath cabin... it has to be repaired with glass or similar... they found a solution with curtain but it doesnt work well and not easy to have shower and the water goes out on the floor.

I had requested a quiet room and the hotel gave me a fantastic room at the rear of the hotel on a high floor-there was absolutely no traffic noise and no noise from other rooms The room size was generous-it felt spacious and airy as did the bathroom which was much bigger than most hotels in this price bracket. The mattress was excellent-really firm and comfortable, the pillows were good, the bedlinen good quality, soft and very clean, and there was even a light weight duvet which was very welcome as the weather was cool and rainy on that day The breakfast was simple but ample The staff were wonderful. They were polite, welcoming and thoughtful. I had to leave my bags at the hotel for a few hours on the next day and then needed to resort them when I came back to collect them-they gave me a space to do this and offered me ice cold water-its the little things that make the difference!

The location isn't the very best in terms of not being right in the middle of the city centre BUT it is literally just outside the very heart of the city-there are buses running outside the hotel, and the metro station is around a 10-15 minute max walk away-once you have done it once it is very easy to find.

This is a well-kept hotel with amazingly friendly staff. The location has excellent transport links and our room was plain but very comfy and spotlessly clean. The AC was very quiet which we appreciated a lot (I can’t sleep with a noisy one) and there was also no noticeable noise from outside.

There were a few oddities, for example they ask you to leave you key card at the registration desk when you go out. This puzzled me but then I thought it also adds to the security of the hotel. There were no glasses in the room but we could get them from reception. The lift is rather tiny but works well.

Very nice hotel in a good location (it is not that far from the Center, and the bus station is exactly in front of the entrance) Rooms were cleaned daily, in my opinion beds are comfortable and rooms are looking nice, breakfast was basic but for me it was enough Reception is 24/7 and we got no problems with checking in after midnight Everyone speaks English very well

There could be more options on the breakfast, like bacon or scrambled eggs Odd policy that you have to leave keys after leaving hotel, it is ok if you want to but it is obligatory (I would like to take a risk and in case of losing I am obligated to pay for it) In our bathroom, toilet was almost under the sink

We loved the polite and helpful staff, my children loved the breakfast. We got a pleasant surprise in finding jacuzzi in the bathroom of our room for such cheap price!!!!!! It was a fun stay. We also absolutely loved the variety of foods, groceries is the nearby supermarket, called "GRAB" I think. The prices for good food were amazing in our opinion. Also good is the fact that somewhere nearby was Halal restaurant which Greece experiences serious shortage of in our experience.

The area seems to affect such a good potential hotel. If it was in a better area the hotel could prosper much more as a business. Thiis area seems lovely during the day.

The room was extremely nice, I must have not looked very close when booking because the room blew me away. Very clean and modern, nice layout, lovely patio, and frequently cleaned. Great spot.

The elevator was a little spooky but it worked just fine. And the location was a bit out of the way but that was to be expected when booking.

It was rather comfortable compared to those hotels near the city center. this hotel is simply tucked a bit away from the city center but it was very humble and great! I stayed for 3 days in another hotel but it was rather small, Athens city hotel gave me a superior room. the staff during breakfast were amazing which made it count more than the simple food.

a bit far from the center but the taxi going to the main attractions were just 5 euros away :)

The beds were comfortable, location was great and very close to restaurants and shops. TV was working-although only in Greek. Toiletries provided were adequate and room was cleaned daily. OK view from the balcony.

Breakfast was poor, had a very simple and sparse selection. Reception desk was at times unhelpful. Odd policy of returning hotel room keys before leaving hotel each time.

It is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is well connected with the centre as it is outside the centre.

The breakfast could be better. Adding some fruits to the breakfast would be very nice. In Greece it is easy and not so expensive and would improve the impression.
