Xenophon Hotel

I loved the room the most, we stayed in a superior room which was very different from the other rooms. They are much more modern and I will have to say my favorite part was the A/C & balcony! The property isn’t located in the heart of Athens but in my opinion this location is so much better! There are more locals around and you’re more forced to interact with locals which I loved! We were not too far away from some pretty amazing Greek cafes/restaurants.

I had a fantastic experience from beginning to end at this delightful hotel. Kato Patisia is a great location, I loved the bakeries and shops which were quality and much cheaper than the more central places. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe at all times, only 5 mins walk to metro and a 10 min ride to Monastraki. My superior room was beautifully furnished with comfy bed and pillows, spacious balcony and wet room. The staff were friendly and very helpful with directions, restaurant recommendations etc they even gave me a leaving gift. My room was thoroughly cleaned daily and sheets and towels always fresh. Xenophon definitely lives up to its 4 star rating and I would happily stay again.

The breakfast , the renovated rooms , the free parking , close to the old city ( 7-10euro with taxi to the center).

The beds !!! I reserved a double bed room with a month before , and payed in advance ! I specialy send them a mesage to give us ( me and my wife) a double bed in the room , and they give us a twin bed ……… We united them , but the floor is slippery and always they become separate 5 cm , 10 cm . I realy do not recomand this hotel for couples , or be sure to have a DOUBLE BED in the room !!!!!! The answer from hotel was : depends of availability . Realy ????? A send you my bed preference A MONTH BEFORE arriveing . If it wasn’t payed before i would searced another hotel .

The room was nice. The breakfast was good. . Hot scrambled eggs and bacon. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Yipes only way in or out is a huge staircase. I arrived with a pulled muscle after an a hike gone wrong. All I didn’t need was any staircase. Apparently there is a lift if the staff person is there to help you with it. The staff is quick to help with suitcases up and down. The neighborhood was also a bit scruffy. I didn’t leave the building.

Location was about 30-40 minutes from historical Athens by metro. The metro stop was close to the hotel (about 2 blocks) and it is located in a working class neighborhood so we experienced an authenic neighborhood with few tourists, which was perfect for us. The local flavor was great and the area resturants were super and convenient. There was also a small grocery store close to the metro stop. Breakfast was very filling with lots of choices.

It’s conveniently located not far from train station. Rooms are refurbished with modern design. Breakfast was free but we were not aware of it, it’s a full Buffett breakfast but the quality of food was not good at all. We stayed there on two occasions, first when landed in Athens. Staff was nice enough for us to keep our big bags in luggage room while we were away to Santorini with only the carry ons.

Convenient to the metro. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was included and provided a nice variety (buffet style)

There was no cold air conditioning in any of the rooms, and the heater could not be set at the lowest setting; so, we had to turn it off completely. They offered to switch rooms; but, it would not have mattered because we wanted our room on the cool side. So, we cracked open the balcony door; but, it was loud from street noise that way.

Rooms: They are really good and clean the air conditioner is fantastic the bed was really comfortable bathroom is a bit small but it does the job ! Breakfast: Everyday there is the same breakfast nothing really new, it’s a bit dry nothing too special there is some juices and coffee it does the job for the price you are paying tho Price: Really affordable and you get more than you are paying for I didn’t expect that much to be honest but everything was good Area/ the place of the hotel: There is a small grocery shops next to the hotel as well as parking spaces in front of hotel there is a metro green line station around 300 Meters away from the hotel by Walking Called (Kato Patissia)

Staff & Performance: The check in is always at 14:00 and the checkout is at 12:00 they give you a key to a room so you can put your luggage in till your check in time the staff was helpful but not really nice they do their job but with anger, a smile would be nice to see

Excellent! Clean hotel and good condirions for the given price. The subway stations are very close, and you can reach them by walk. Calm district, street noise is normal for those who are used to live on big cities. It did not bothered too much. I would recommend it, sure, especially for safety reasons. Well done, guys!

It would be better, of course, if we could have a robe and slippers for each of us (normally, it is included in the package of staying in a hotel). This was not a case.

It is a great location. 5 minutes walk from a - very busy! - subway line station. The room and the bathroom was clean. The airport is an hour with public transportation so there is no need for a cab!

Breakfast selection (especially meat and cheese) is very poor. There is absolutely no sound insulation in the walls, so you must have a very good earplugs if you like to sleep!
