Diethnes Hotel

This location was wonderful if traveling by train. The staff was very helpful.

We felt the ‘rooftop” garden was misleading and had hoped for a pleasant evening relaxing; however, it was only open for breakfast which was meager at best. The Wi-Fi was sporadic in our room and I needed to sit in the hall in order to use it.

It was in a good location. Just two minutes from Larissa Metro station. It is in a good secure location and quite so if you need a peaceful night sleep after your busy day it is great. Building is so cute that attracted me most in deciding to book this hotel.

When we arrived at night on 11th August there was a very rude and aggressive woman at the reception. She refused help in everything, tried giving a room without windows under the ground and rejected providing extra keys. Toilet was broke i said we have to get another room and she rejected again. Guess what we had tobpay another hitel to sleep because of the toilet problem. It is unaccaotable and not hygenic to stay in a roomwhere you cant fladh the toilet!! Next day in the morning there was another smiling sweet lady who helped us - gave extra keys and changed our room! Thank you to her a million from here if she reads

The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. The neighborhood is definitely not as bad as some people claim is some reviews.

I am impressed by the friendly, positive, and hugely supportive staff, and I especially thank Marina, Dora, and Sofia for making my stay adorable! The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable, and there is a nice mix of classic and modern decor. I have new towels and bathroom refreshment every day, and every second day I have new bed shirts and pillows. The hotel had a perfect location in a safe area with great connections all over Athens and close to the centre, Sintagma, and Acropolis. I strongly recommend this hotel!

Very well placed as a stop-over when arriving by train because it was so close to the station, has a lift, air-con rooms and clean, comfortable rooms. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Easy to get to the port at Piraeus using the red Metro line to Omonia then the green line to Piraeus port. A two-journey per person ticket easily available from machines in the metro station for 2.30 Euros, every few minutes. Plenty of places to eat nearby, often Halal, but we went to a lovely square with the Ayios Pavlos church, next to which is a great Grill restaurant serving excellent food till late.

I Looked for place close to the train station for one night and the hotel is one minute from the station and Larisa metro station which is great. The neighborhood is maybe not in the top neighborhoods of athens but I felt safe and anyway you only go to the metro. Room was clean and comfortable, good value for money. Staff responded quickly to messages through booking and they let me to check in earlier which is appreciated

When you arrive at Athens Train station or Larissa Metro, when you look to your left at the exit you see the sign for the hotel which is great help to locate it straight away. Air con in the room was a saviour as it was hot outside.

The shower was difficult to stop from soaking the bathroom floor because of just a curtain. No screen.

Speedy check-in, very kind front desk, the room feels spacious because of vaulted ceiling! Excellent lighting as well. Very clean!!! Wonderful choice for travelers in transit. The Larissis train station is literally within eyesight of the front door - less than 5 min walk. Perfect for early morning to the airport. Also, wonderful restaurant called "Ταβέρνα Τριχωνίδα" just around the corner! We loved it. Excellent prices, homestyle cooking. We will stay here next time were again in Athens.

Like most places in Greece, the shower does not have any enclosement or curtain so water does get everywhere!

The location is great for a night before going to the airport. Google maps says 260 m to the station but it's only about 150m. Platform 7 and a €9 train ticket - train runs every hour on the hour - gets you to the airport. Eat at the Kebab place a block down and two up, excellent. Lift is old style but works.

Couldn't work out the TV at first and reception in the evening couldn't help. You have to turn the fridge on as well.

Great location, adequate amenities. For the location you cannot find a better price. Worth €50+/night given the location. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, highly recommend.

The bathrooms are small, particularly the showers, and neither the AC nor WIFI are exceptionally strong.
