Divani Palace Acropolis

very clean, everything was perfect, wonderful staff, I'm not satisfied, I had a problem with breathing at night and I asked for an ambulance from the reception for an emergency, they connected me to private hospital that asked for 1000e, i said no give me the number to the hospital of the state for the emergency, I call them myself without the help of the hotel and when I handed to leave them ask me you will pay the money for the calls the hospital this is out of the ordinary in a 5 star hotel

The staff were amazing, especially Natasha. They were happy to accommodate all our requests. Will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay, comfortable bed, pillow menu, clean, robes/slippers, nice bathrooms, all the facilities of a typical 5 star. Huge breakfast buffet, honeycomb slab was pretty cool, good coffee and a nice lobby bar and lounge. The location is great for first time/solo travellers to Athens, small balconies with Acropolis views and walking distance to almost anything. The rooftop bar is nice, but was very hot during our stay, due to the heatwave. The pool is average if not small and not well loved. Staff are lovely and make the experience 5 star all the way. It is a well run hotel.

Lack of soundproofing in the rooms. You can hear a lot between rooms and in hallways. My children were nextdoor and texted to say they could hear us talking... 😳 Doors are also heavy and slam shut. Light sleepers would do better with earplugs. I still slept, but it wasn't heavenly.

I must say that I am a big fan of this hotel… Since the first time I stayed there I was simply surprised by the warm welcome and extra care of the client. Particularly the reception staff is very dedicated to solve any problem, also they have a nice word for you even if you check in very late at night, that is quite uncommon in other hotels with the same rating/stars where they are just “professional”. Rooms are clean and spacious and if you ask you can book rooms with a view on the Acropolis. Rooms have balconies and you can sip your drink in the fresh air of the night admiring the Parthenon right up there to your left…and take wonderful pictures. Rich breakfast with a choice of international and local specialities. Which, by the way, was offered as as a complimentary extra for our loyalty to the structure. Also we found in the room a nice fruit basket and a bottle of wine along with a card from the Staff Manager. This is what to expect when they really take care of the customer, especially if you are a frequent guest of the hotel. Thank you to all the staff. Me and my wife can’t wait to visit Athens again very soon an of course, stay at the Divani Acropolis again!!!

Almost close to perfection!!!

It was a very satisfying stay. Three aspects made this hotel particularly outstanding: - Hospitality of the hotel staff - Convenient access to the Acropolis - Easy access to supermarkets and other facilities Cosmas and Natasha were wonderful, especially Cosmas, who provided impeccable service to enhance our first trip to Greece. The hospitality of other staff, like the room service team, was also excellent. I highly recommend it for future trips and to friends.

Fantastic location about 10 mins walk from the Acropolis and central Plaka. The area was surrounded by lots of great places to eat and drink. All the main tourist destinations were within walking distance of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect, especially the front desk staff and porters on the door.

We had to ask the reception several times to give us more tea/coffee/water for the room because it was not resupplied daily. The pool was on the ground floor in the shadow of the building so was very cold and not somewhere you could relax in the sun. But we spent all our time in Athens so it wasn't an issue.

The hotel is in a safe neighborhood which is only a couple of blocks from the Acropolis and its Museum. The breakfast staff and the buffet were great. But the stars are the exceptional staff at Reception, including Natasa and Cosmas, and the porter. All staff were gracious and extremely helpful. Our room balcony had a view of the Acropolis. There were many wonderful local restaurants nearby, and the taxi to the cruise terminal only took about 20 minutes and cost 25 Euros. Cosmas and Natasa assisted with our dinner and taxi arrangements, as did the porter. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Athens (mostly chain hotels) but I would return to the Divani Acropolis Palace in the future as it is wonderfully Greek!

We liked everything!

The staff were absolutely amazing, over the top helpful and friendly. Irini, Natasa and many others were super helpful. They granted my request for late check out as our flight is not until 6pm. They allowed us to leave our big bags here when we travelled to Santorini. On arrival, we were showered with new year theme goodies from the front desk, to cakes / chocolate / welcome drinks delivered to our room with ice cubes, tonic water. The last time we had this service was when we paid for a premium for our 10th year wedding anniversary. Very central, close to acropolis and the museum, also restaurants were all within walking distance.

Very minor, the rooms are not very sound proof. But not an issue for us.

Natassa was excellent to deal with

The balcony view was not a full view of the Acropolis but it was good. I was hoping to have at least a set of chairs on which to sit on the balcony. There was little room and no way to sit and enjoy the view even if only one of us could have enjoyed it. We paid a premium that in my view was not worth it.

The rooms were nice but could have been a bit nicer for what we were paying. The balcony could have had a few chairs. The bathroom was hard to operate. The shower took some getting used to. While very nice, it felt a bit dated.
