The front desk and booking staffs were very helpful and they will provide any info you need in the timely manner. They also provide storage for our luggags and they specially allowed us for an early check-in (if the room is available). We were grateful especially after long hours flight from Latin America. They were also sharing their microwave and kettle in the staff's pantry. We have nothing to complain about the hotel and we felt safe and secure to stay there for four nights.

Only a small note but nothing related to the hotel actually. The small alleys next to the hotel are not too safe to walk at night (or basically the whole Athens). If you are walking from the Metro at night, please use the main road at the roundabout and the main road in front of the hotel with extra cautions, otherwise it would be better to use Uber to reach in front of the hotel directly.

Location: a few steps from the Metro station Metaxurgio; although the Metro is cheap and runs every 4 minutes or so, one can easily walk to the city centre. Walking to the Archaeological museum about 15 minutes (no metro). Friendly staff, safe luggage storage, fridge in the room, quiet street (only some guests are not so quiet but this is not the fault of the hotel)

Table too low to sit comfortably. Internet: stable but slow. The area is conveniently located (see above) but socially problematic. Many houses in ruins, stranded migrants "living" in the streets, dirt; possibly security issues (I had no problems). On the other hand, kind of colourful, Bulgarian, Indian and Middle Eastern shops. This applies to the area W and NW of Metaxurgio towards Omonia and Vathi, as well as S of Ag. Konstantinou Avenue towards Piraeus Av. I found it sad, but an interesting lesson about social reality in S Europe.-- But for the more fearful ones: no problem at all to the Metro station.

Reception staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but quite adequate with enough storage and hanging rails. The air-con was efficient, the beds were comfortable, with linen and towels changed regularly. Everything was very clean and the water in the bathroom was hot enough. The location was only a 2 minute walk from the Metro station and only a 2 or 3 stops into central Athens. There was a choice of cafe/restaurants within walking distance serving food at very reasonable prices plus small local shops open late and a supermarket not far away. There is also a vending machine in the lobby.

The hotel vicinity is rundown but at no time did we (two females) feel unsafe returning in the evenings. Care needs to be taken in the bathroom as the shower is small and can make the floor wet but a bathmat is provided - make sure your feet are dry as you step down into the room.

Neat clean professional .all was perfect as per the price. Proximity to Metaxorguio metro station was best

Quilt was too thin for winters. Location might not suit family as many homeless people stay in nearby area

Really glad I went with this hotel in the end. The room was big, the bed comfortable, and the shower nice and hot with decent pressure. The room I stayed in also had a big enough balcony to put a couple of chairs on. There is a metro station around 2 minutes walk away, and with a 10-15 minute walk you are central enough to be surrounded with ample choice of places to eat and drink. The guys working at reception all spoke good English and offered a friendly-warm approach. I was offered housekeeping daily. There is a shop opposite the hotel and a vending machine in the hotel with good prices.

Very minor faults for me, but there was no shower holder in my room. It would have been so nice to have one because the shower was a pleasure. The area is a little dodgy with some strange characters, but from walking around the area, the street where the hotel is on is absolutely fine.

Very clean, excellent housekeeping, helpful staff, excellent water pressure and hot water, nice sheets, refrigerator in room, free Wi-Fi, elevator, balcony. Location close to the metro. Free street parking in the neighborhood. Convenience stores and restaurants nearby. <30 minute walk to the Plaka.

Not their fault but the neighborhood is dicey. We observed individuals and groups of people smoking and shooting drugs nearby, and the streets were littered with needles. We did not notice this when going directly from the hotel to the metro station, but Google maps routed us through drug zones when walking to a restaurant or to the Plaka.

Hotel is in an excellent location. Only a couple of minutes walk to the metro and a couple of supermarkets across the road. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Area of the hotel is generally okay once you figure out which streets to avoid. Some sketchy characters roaming said streets but that is not the fault of the hotel. We felt safe and were street smart. Staff - Cannot praise enough. Very friendly and welcoming. Room - basic but it's what you pay for. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony (we were in room 620 - top floor) was outstanding. Our room had a fridge - a godsend for stocking up on cold drinks. A wonderful hotel in a beautiful city. We will definitely stay again.

The main feature is the value for money and access to the centre of Athens by foot or metro. Very conveinient. It also has an air conditioner and lift. A safe and warm place to return to, to sleep, in the centre of Athens. Shower has good hot water. We even found a parking spot in the street without too much hassle. It depends on the time of day. 14:00 to 17:00 seems a good time to find a spot.

Very basic but adequate furnishings. No tea or coffee facitities but plenty of good coffee shops/bakeries around, open from 06:00. Only a place for one person to sit and use a computer. Nowhere to sit and eat together.

It’s definitely a “cheap and cheerful” in Athens! Located a block from Metaxourghio station makes it easy to get around the city. The hotel itself is very clean, rooms are basic yet comfortable, excellent and professional staff. The area around Metaxourghio station is not particularly safe, however during the day I had no problem and at night used an Uber to get back to the hotel . I did come back on the metro late one night but I think it’s best to avoid the metro at night if you are traveling alone. Overall it’s a comfortable hotel, excellent value but please take caution around the streets at night

My only complaint is that a jug and coffee/tea in the room would be much appreciated. Shower is a bit hard to manage without getting water everywhere. Minor complaints only

When you walk into this hotel the first impression is of old school Greece, dated in a good way and amazingly there is a feeling of freshness. Many people don’t like the location. As a single woman I didn’t find it dangerous, only disturbing to see drug addicts and unfortunate homeless people. But safe enough and eye opening to the realities of the city. In the neighbourhood are unique and special restaurants and cafes….not trendy, but genuine people providing classic tastes. So location was a plus for me for walking between the different neighbourhoods of interest and super close to metro. Staff seemed ok. Did the job. Storage faults were useful and price/value fair…although I noticed this fluctuates.

Most staff was good, just one grumpy guy who was completely disinterested in the plugged common toilet. Fine for a few days, this isn’t really a holiday hotel
