Needs better information about the swimming pool in room information (opening times, seasonal opening etc) and on the 9th floor, to help people navigating their way around the rooftop restaurant/bar/pool area - looks like you can only access restaurant when you come out of the lift Advice in room was to not touch heating/cooling system unless you wanted it warmer but I was too hot even with door open and would have liked to put on air con

Great location,had a room upgrade before i checked in,staff is very helpful if anything comes up they are there for you.

There are renovations being done at the moment in the hotel. The only message stating this is inside the elevator so you will see it way after you checked in. Warn your customers please. The construction work starts at 11.00 and they stop at around 19.00 or 20.00. Not being able to get a mid day sleep while having a very early flight next morning,due to hammers banging and electric drills,was very annoying.

Stayed for one night by myself. Chose The Stanley because of the rooftop pool. The location is super convenient to a red line stop on the metro. Decent check-in, not many check-ins are fast in Greece so it's not their fault. Friendly front desk staff. My room was on the 4th floor facing the front central road; others have noted the traffic noise. It's there but I always use a sound machine app on my phone for sleep and I had no trouble. There was no furniture on the small balcony but it's not really a location you want to sit for a while with the business and noise outside, Very nice that the small bottle of wine, water bottles, and two beer cans in the fridge were all complimentary! Comfy bed and good internet. Bright and modern bathroom with shower. Went straight to the pool around 2:30. It was busy! Very nice lady, seemed to be a manager, gave me a towel and helped me find a lounge chair. During the afternoon I moved twice as other chairs became available with better shade. Ordered two cocktails and an appetizer while there; good trio dip with chips and drinks were ok, they were poured very light on the alcohol. Great people watching and listening with all the different languages. The pool is perfect for a rooftop in Athens, big enough with water features activated by buttons. One large faucet feature was broken and people repeatedly tried to use it throughout the afternoon, shows the popularity of the feature. Room service was with a qr code from the printed menu in the room - very efficient. Burger and a salad were good. Ate breakfast in rooftop restaurant; didn't get it with booking reservation so paid on site. Cost is 10€ on the first floor and 15€ in the rooftop restaurant. The waiter said downstairs had some different options but I'm not sure what they were as I didn't go check it out.

A digital check-out would be nice; stronger drinks for the cost at the pool would be appreciated.

The roof top area was beautiful and the view to the acropolis was amazing. The renovated rooms were really nice. The hotel location is great as the metro station is directly below. The buffet breakfast had every option. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating.

The TV in the superior renovated room only had satellite, there was no foxtel or Netflix options which we felt should have been available for the price of the room. The pool area was very slippery, even the steps into the pool. We felt this was a bit unsafe.

They have a great variety for breakfast, which I was really thankful for that, from fruit, cheese, dry fruit, cold meat etc Our room was a good size so it was the bathroom.

Excellent value for money. Metro is almost at the front door, you're at the Acropolis Metro station "Akropoli" in 15 minutes. We loved the staff! Kostas and Vicky at Reception so helpful with every detail. Heleni the Housekeeping manager was warm and wonderful, got us an extra chair and other requests for our room.  The restaurants are great, waitress Ms. Elena and Captain Ms. Vasiliki were so kind and made sure we were comfortable as there are so many seating choices inside and outside to view the Acropolis from the rooftop restaurant! The pool and outside deck are brand new, very pretty and relaxing, great service there too.  Complimentary wine and bottled water in our room at check-in and more can be arranged with Reception. Breakfast was delicious with wide variety. Cleanliness everywhere very good. Laundry service was careful, prompt, and inexpensive.

The Stanley is under renovation as an oasis in an older neighborhood. Our Superior Acropolis View room needed more furniture. Nightstands needed drawers; room had no drawers for clothes. Bathroom needed shelves. Ask for extra chairs and luggage racks, they will provide. Neighborhood is run down, but has fabulous bakery & restaurant Bread Factory next door. After dark we ate at the hotel's rooftop restaurant, or lingered downtown in the "Center," or got Bread Factory take out and retreated to the hotel's lovely pool deck or our balcony.

The room was comfortable and clean could do with some more storage space no drawers to put clothes in The staff on the whole were very helpful and friendly

I vape on the first afternoon we sat had some drinks outside on the roof and I vaped without issue In the evening stood outside in the same area with no one around vaping was then told this was not allowed and that I would have to go to another area this is not a problem but there were no signs to this effect and why was I not told that afternoon A couple of days later my friend and I went to the roof bar for a drink while the wives went to room. After finishing our drink and paying the bill we were chased after by the same waitress that had informed about the vaping saying we needed to return to pay the bill that we had already paid This waitress had not been serving us and it was rather embarrassing

In order to get around from the hotel, the location was great. next to a metro station, a taxi rank and pick up area for turf ‘hop on hop off’ busses. This cannot be helped but many taxi drivers and locals kept warning us that the area was ‘an area to be avoided at night’. However, we didn’t see that much that concerned us.

Excellent views from roof top bar, even thou the prices were double that of a bar across the street. Main downside was the heat in the rooms. Even thou it was April, there was no aircon (approx 20 degrees outside). This forced us to open the balcony doors, leading to a very noisy stay.

Awesome location, right next to the metro station which makes it very easy to explore Athens. Very nice rooftop bar and pool, perfect spot for late night drinks. Clean rooms and good level of comfort, breakfast buffet is standard but good.

Front desk staff wasn't very service orientated.

Room was spacious and comfortable ( more of a suite) . Bed was very comfortable with good pillows and linen. Huge balcony . Staff excellent , very helpful. Let us check in early, ordered us a taxi . Bags taken to room for us . Roof terrace was beautiful , view of Accropolis with wow factor pool . Good breakfast

No furniture on balconies , would have been nice to sit out and look at amazing far reaching views Immediate area of square was fine , with a few restaurants' bakerys and shops . However, beyond the square, the surrounding areas have lots of graffiti daubed derelict buildings . Some parts felt a bit threatening . At one point, we encountered a gang of around 20 men sitting around in the street on broken furniture and piles of old clothes drinking . However, we would stay at the Stanley again. Just avoid the back streets
