Hotel Marina

The staff was very nice, the location was good considering the fact that metro is very close and amazing cafes and places to eat were just in 10 minute walk.

The near streets were very dirty and smelling so the district itself wasn't the good one. Breakfast wasn't bad but having the same very few options during all four days was annoying.

Ioanna, Vaya and the hotel staff was amazing and helpful they did their outmost to make our stay wonderful. You could choose cold and hot meals for breakfast, we were amazed. The cleaning ladies often cleaned our room, we are grateful for their diligence. Our room was equipped with a balcony, I was happy to start my mornings staring at the city.

The neighbourhood is not the Best next to the hotel. Somebody smoked before our stay and we smelled it throughout our stay as a non smokers. Vaya did their best, but the smell didn't disappear.

The street is only few meters from Pireus Main Street but you can see people across the other side of street injecting themselves in the evening but with no harm to others or problems But certainly I would stay in Hotel Marina my next visit to Athens I travel alot and i highly recommend

Thank you for the awesome view from the last floor 7th to be more specific:) I liked the breakfast which had variety ( cereals, eggs, bacon, cheese, butter, jam plus sweets as sponge cakes ). And I also liked the proximity to a Subway Metro Station ( Omonia ) . I also liked the fact the cleaning personal was performing the cleaning every day so that's a plus. You do also have a small supermarket nearby within walking distance and a lots of Pick up food restaurants nearby.

I didn.t liked very much the area of the hotel because Omonia is not the very safest of them all .

We loved this place for affordability, excellent staff attitude (young lady at reception was so sweet and thoughtful) quite late check out time. Location is good - in the centre, we walked everywhere, however area around is not of the best, but you kinda accepting it as you are in Athens. Breakfast was simple but all you need. Room was nice, with a little cozy balcony. There was fridge, tea/coffee and TV in the room. Beds were quite comfy, shower was good as well. It was quite and we enjoyed a nice sleepover.

The close area around the hotel doesn't look the safest. But we didn't face any issues at all. There is even a security guard there to reassure guests. The only thing - if you need to leave your bags in the hotel after check out - you will need to pay 1-2 euro for the safe cell, as the room where bags are held is not closing and is situated quite close to the exit without proper supervision.

The hotel was nice, beds were comfy, the staff was really helpful. Also the breakfast option was a plus and the food was great. The hotel is about 200m away from the nearest metro station (Omonia), which is good because going to the Acropolis was easy - just 4 stops way with metro. The hotel also has their own shop where you can buy necessary things, like water, right next door.

The neighborhood is not one you would like to stay in, we didn't know, but the Omonia metro station is in one of the worst neighborhoods in Athens, full of drug addicts and homeless people. Never seen so many syringes on a street, in the center of Athens...before, also we wanted to walk around at around 6PM and all the streets around are poorly lit and full of homeless/addicts... Would not reccomend going out at night, by yourself, in this part of town.

It was certainly value for money, and not far from the metro and buses. it was also near to cafe's and restraurant's. The Lady on reception when I arrived was very friendly and helpful. my room was quite big with plenty of storage and a safe facility.

I thought the breakfast was average, the 4 days that I was there it was luke warm at best (but I did eat it). the area that the hotel is in is a little off-putting and there were a few addicts injecting nearby, however I walked along there in the early morning and late at night and did not feel intimidated by it, and certainly the hotel felt like a safe environment.

I like breakfast so much. Friendly staff and it is very near to the center. It is about 5 minutes by walking.

It is in the middle of bazaar and the people around the hotel is not feel safe for me. So many indian or african people. But it is very near to everything you want to see.

The hotel itself is beautiful, the room is spacious, the balcony too. The bathroom is old and not so clean though. The breakfast is good and enough - it’s the same every day though. I think it’s a good deal for it’s price, not a luxury hotel but a nice one.

The area and the Omonia square is awful! I didn’t wanted I didn’t go out in the dark, after 8 pm out of the hotel because of the people in the street. It’s useful to know this if you are staying here. And one more thing: a lamp in the balcony could be very useful! We wanted to sit out there in the evenings but we couldn’t because it was so dark.

located only 10 minutes walk from metro and Acropolis. The staff were lovely, really accommodating, the bed was huge and very comfy. The breakfast was good with lots of choice. Prior to arriving we had read reviews about the area being unsafe and we were a bit worried about coming. Yes there is a lot of deprivation and you do see addicts and homeless but we felt very safe. You just have to keep to well lit streets and away from secluded areas. We find most city centres we visit have the same problems but as long as your careful you will be fine.

no kettle in the room but that’s the only thing lol
