Hotel Lido

For a 2 star hotel it was perfect! The hotel is partially renovated and overall clean. There is a new modern bathroom, there is a fridge, we even had a boiler and cups if we wanted to make tea or coffee. The room was cleaned every day and we had clean towels as well. The staff is absolutly gorgeous and super friendly as well as helpful! Every time we needed something, they would help to the outmost! Omonia square is just 5m walking. There are many shops around and you can eat delisiously.

What we did not like a lot was the beds. The matresses were new but a bit tough and the beds would make a bit of noise when moving. Some of the guests staying were noisy and you would hear them in your room but the staff would do everything to keep things calm for people to rest. The area is not the best, but also not that dangerous as others say in their comments. At night you need to be a bit more carefull. The wifi was ok but not very strong. Maybe one thing that could be improved later is to put a socket near the bed so that you can charge your phone, but that's a small detail.

The cleaning Lady was exceptional, also the reception stuff extremely helpful and friendly. I didn t expect that bed was for me personally just the right softness. My back got healed over the week.

The surrounding neighbours on the streets are interesting people. But not aggressive or disturbing ones.

The room was great, comfy bed and nice bathroom. Easily walkable to the main square and some nice shops in the surrounding area. Great place for people on a budget. Only downside was the noise outside. We stayed here of 2 separate occasions during our stay in Athens, the first time on the 6th floor which wasnt too bad and the second on the 1st which was louder as it was closer to the street. We did still manage to get good sleep while we were here and would recommend to other travelers

The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. Made staying solo in this area much more comforting. Was clean, comfortable and secure, breakfast was adequate. Excellent proximity to a main metro station at Omonoia Square and other tourist locations. Within 20 minutes easy walk to Acropolis.

The location, it’s not their fault, just one of the rougher areas, particularly in the evenings. Probably wouldn’t recommend for intermediate and below solo female travellers.

The location will not appeal to a lot of people, however I experienced no problems while walking around. Outside the immediate neighbourhood the Acropolis is close by and there is a metro station for those wanting to travel further away from the hotel. The hotel itself is ideal for solo travellers or small groups during short stays. The service was top notch.

Very clean and friendly staff. the bathroom was recently renovated. Very close to the center, about a 20 minutes walk. possibility to have breakfast at a hotel 20 meters away for 5€.

The location of the hotel, the street of the hotel and the streets around it were dirty and smelly. Some homeless people living on the street. but just a couple of streets away it was much better.

Location (bad too) central in the city, near by metro and bus. Clean towels every day, packed in sealed bags. Daily room cleaning. Attentive and friendly staff. Spacious room with fridge, air conditioning and recent TV. Excellent quality/price

Location - it is a dirty zone, with drug traffic (outside of the Hotel). Looking bad, but it's not the hotel's fault. Some noise in the area.

The hotel and the room was very modern, renovated, clean. There was a fridge and towels. Within walking distance from the city centre.

Location wasn't the best, at night you did not feel entirely safe there. Every day we got new towels wrapped in plastic which is completely unncessary and not friendly to environment.

very easy location to get to when taking the bus from Sofia. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. wifi was decent too.

nothing wrong with property itself. The area around it is very loud and run down. Decent Food options are a little while away - it’s okay if you are a walker.

Breakfast was simple but very good- especially the pastries! Clean and simple place to stay. Close enough to walk to good sites and restaurants.

Little bit loud in the evenings but that’s not the hotel it’s just the neighbourhood is busy.
