Pan Hotel

Location is brilliant. Breakfast was good. Rooms are comfortable & clean. Excellent value for money. Not as personal maybe, as some of the hotels we stayed in on the islands but totally understand this is a city hotel with lots of people booking in & out, all the time. For our budget & needs, don't think we could have found a better hotel. Would totally recommend Pan Hotel, if you intend to be out & about & need a comfortable, safe place to rest your head.

Nothing really. Was so hot in Athens when we were there 40+C, a pool would have been nice.

Location is great. 3 mins from metro (which does port & airport), 15 min walk to Acropolis, good restaurants all around, fab ice-cream and famous bakery opposite. Bedroom for 4 was spacious and our teens had seperate beds and space. Breakfast was sufficient but some items medium quality (juice, cereal). The staff in the morning in breakfast room and reception were very friendly and attentive. Baggage storage safe and easy. Would return.

We arrived at around 18.30 on the Monday evening, 14th and check-in was very long and the receptionist (male) took 15 minutes without hardly saying anything. Every passport detail was slowly recorded and then keys handed over. Basically not welcoming, friendly or efficient so gave bad first impression. Luckily everything after that - room and staff encountered thereafter were wonderful.

Located in the central area (3 minutes' walk from Syntagma square), close to public transport, restaurants and shops. Walking distance to most historic sites and monuments. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We paid for 1 double room and ask for a double bad with balcony and received 1 triple room. It was large and very comfortable. Very clean room and bathroom. The breakfast was basic. There is only one elevator that someone might consider small and slow, but for us it was not a problem.

The location is just great, we were able to walk everywhere. The centre is very lively during the day as well as in the evening—lots of nice restaurants and bars around, and only a short walk from the Syntagma metro station. The room is big enough, clean and fairly quiet, considering the balcony was facing a busy street. The breakfast lady was just amazing, very accommodating and calm, even though the breakfast area was quite busy.

The shower head would deserve replacing. The air freshener in the reception area was quite strong, but that's only a personal observation.

The hotel is central to Athens. Everything is in walking distance, and you can also get a bus, tram or train out to the beach or Pireaus Port. Very close to two vegetarian cafe/ restaurants. The rooms are good and comfortable. Having a safe and fridge was great. Staff helpful.

The breakfast needed to be consistent. Some mornings no cucumber or apples. It's good for sliced meat but for vegetarians we need the choices to be consistent. The cheese was good and bread. I did not like having no tea bags in the room. I ended up buying a box of tea bags because when I asked reception they only supplied 2. I was not keen to ask for 2 everyday, especially when we needed about 4 a day. I bought milk also as they don't provide milk. The street is very noisy but I could reduce this by closing windows and using aircon. The bathroom seems to have ventilation from elsewhere. I could smell cigarette smoke sometimes yet we did not smoke.

One of the best hotels I've visitied. Located in the center of the city and in the center of ancient Greek. Everything is around. It's useless to go anywhere else except this area of Syntagma Squatre and Monistraki Place. The Acropolis is right there and all the ancient monuments. The hotel is one of the best located ones there with nice and clean room and a well trained and feiendly staff. I, can recommend this hotel to anyone even if this isn't your first visit to Athens. Also the price value is extraordinary.

We returned from a vacation on one of the islands for one night before a flight and we did not expect to be accommodated in the excellent conditions we received. The friendly person at the reception greeted us with a smile, the spacious room we got was the best room we ever got in Athens and we really regretted not staying more nights. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy it all because we were in a hurry for our flight. The location of the hotel is excellent! Close to all the places, shops and restaurants in the big tourist center of Athens. Even though it was a weekend and the location was central, the room was quiet, cozy and clean. Lovely attention to each guest, besides soap and shampoo also a sewing kit, slippers, shower cap, and a comb for each. I will gladly recommend the hotel. *It should be noted that even though we were 2 guests, we received a large and spacious family room on the 3rd floor.

Nothing, It was perfect

Your friendly staff - the breakfast lady was most obliging and all the reception staff were friendly, but especially the tall gentleman who checked me in on 16 June and gave me helpful directions and advice, also when I saw him on other occasions. I also liked the fact that my bath mat was changed each day - even though it probably was not necessary to do so. I liked having a little balcony too.

It would be helpful to add a handrail to the second part of the staircase leading to the 1st floor where my room was. I used the staircase often as opposed to the lift and since it was spiral, I would have appreciated a handrail on the upper stairs for security reasons of course.

Room was small but clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Shower and air conditioning were good. Breakfast was small but fine and tasty, with Greek yogurt, cheese and pastry (among other things). Amenities were really good.

Towels were sometimes not clean, but they were exchanged when we asked. More fruit variety during breakfast would have been nice.

Great central location! 5 mins walk from Syntagma Metro station and 2 mins from Ermou Avenue. The employees were very helpful and friendly. We paid for 2 rooms- 1 triple and one double bedroom. The first one was very comfortable.. the other one was a bit small. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. There was hot water at any time. The breakfast was basic. I definitely recommend it and we will stay again there in our next trip.

It's an 8-floor hotel with only one small elevator. For me, this wasn't a problem because our room was at 3rd floor, but for elder people or for families with small kids this might be a problem.
