Athens Cypria Hotel

The hotel was excellent! Very good location, near all the important places to visit(Syntagma square, Acropolis, Plaka, Temple of Zeus, Adriano's gate, National Gardens), I didn't use the public transportation at all. Also very clean, the staff very nice, the rooftop bar has an incredible view to Acropolis, varied breakfast for all type of people(vegan, vegetarian and people who eat meat). And last but not least the hotel is surrounded by very good restaurants. P.S.: you can get to the hotel from the airport and back with bus X95, Syntagma square and airport terminal being the end lines of the bus.

It has been my fourth visit to this hotel, and It is truly a pleasure to be there. It's on an upper style trend hotel, modern, confortable and centrally located near to all amenities. The breakfast buffet is of a high quality providing an array of food to meet any demanding palate. The service is excellent throughout. And also a must to visit is the rooftop of the hotel for a perfect sundowner to end your day with a good cocktail or a glass of champagne and admire the Acropolis and the surrounding scenes 360 degrees.

Being two adults and two children, we are always given two double rooms interconnecting with each other, and may be this configuration offers rooms that are quite tight on the smaller end. And so, for us, would have preferred more spacious rooms, since we are dealing with a four star hotel.

We loved the location, location location! couldn't be happier. Ermu St right on the corner. The room is small and the bathroom is also very small, there is no electrical outlet in the bathroom so you have to blow dry your hair at the desk area in the room. We absolutely loved the roof top restaurant, the view is great of the acropolis, the food and entertainment was wonderful. All the staff workers, from the baggage carriers, front desk, and taxis callers were very helpful and wonderful!

The bathroom is very small, no place to rest your make up or able to put anything down-you need to install some shelves somehow. There is no electrical outlet in the bathroom, so you cannot blow dry your hair or anything else electrical. You need to install some hooks on the bathroom door, so you can hang your clothes, there is no place to rest or hang anything in the bathroom. And you need to fix the drain cover in the shower, that silver bubble cover keeps slipping out of place and the shower drain hole is then exploded and will cause you to trip, and will cause an accident. Horrible design. I don't know how many times I tripped on that drain cover. I did complain, but was told all their bathroom showers were the same in the hotel. Be very careful in the shower.

Perfect location, just a 2 minute walk from the main square. If you will be travelling overseas after this stop, there's a Covid testing centre 1 minute away. If you need a self-test for a ferry, they are sold in pharmacies, also just 1 minute away. Lots of nice places to eat around the hotel and very safe to walk around. The staff here have exactly the right balance between being friendly and attentive but not being over bearing. The view from the rooftop bar is incredible!

- The service was incredible. We arrived on a 40 degree day and they still came out to grab our luggage to take up to our room. Not to mention very attentive and welcoming as we checked in. As well as a bottle of red wine waiting for us in our room. - The room was brilliant. Super comfortable bed, shower was perfect and the balcony overlooking the Acropolis was amazing. (Room 607). - Location is fantastic. Close to walk to the city centre for shopping or food. - Loved the rooftop bar.

Nothing to comment. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Shattered our stay was only one night before we went back to Australia.

Everything - clean, comfortable, had all the facilities to make our stay easy and comfortable, all staff were kind and helpful, excellent location, fabulous roof top view of the Acropolis. Whilst the room wasn't as large as other rooms we had stayed in elsewhere, it was perfect for our needs because it was so functional and well thought out including a decent size bathroom.. so it all actually felt spacious!! I was very surprised as I was expecting it to feel small. We all loved our stay at the, Athens Cypria.

There was minimal natural light, could be a little brighter eg: over the mirror.

the location is brilliant we could walk to all tourist locations easily with great shopping and restaurants I am not a breakfast lover but my family and friends thought the breakfast was very good. rooms were clean and comfortable

we had a cracked glass in our room which was washed and put back and I don’t think it is ok to charge for water in the room I believe this should be included. the very first night we did not have any shower gel or shampoo, conditioner or body lotion but this was added the second day! one of my friends could not sleep one night due to the noise from the restaurants opposite our room!

Exceptional location (literally 10 minutes by foot from all important landmarks and transportation lines), great view (our room was on the 6th floor, overlooking Acropolis), superior breakfast (the choice is so vast that you can have a different type of meal each morning, all tasty), professional staff, comfortable and elegant room (big enough for 2 active people), welcome desserts and complimentary wine, proper heating during the humid December days, charming roof-top bar. We will most definitely return here.

Outdated, slow and outnumbered elevators: during the weekend, when the hotel got crowded, they were almost impossible to use, we ended up taking the stairs even with our luggage. Also, our balcony floor had a faulty design, it rained during our first evening and we've had a small lake on our balcony for the entire stay, which made it quite uncomfortable.

The decor was contemporary and it looked spotlessly clean. The location of this hotel is excellent and central to all the main attractions. The view from the bar at the top of the hotel is really good. Breakfast was a varied selection and to a high standard. I would definitely return to this hotel again.

Our room didn't have a view (we were facing a wall/windows) and space in the room was quite congested i.e. space between end of bed and a shelf protruding was tight. Also, the lifts at this hotel are small. Only minor issues.

In a great location with lots of restaurants and shops very close by. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. The staff are all wonderful, especially the staff in the rooftop terrace bar. Great breakfast, something for everyone 😋

We booked executive rooms with balconies overlooking the Acropolis, and although the bedroom was a good size, the bathrooms were extremely small and the balcony was very small too. Not enough room for 2 of us to sit comfortably.
