Royalty Hotel Athens

The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, the hotel was beautifully kept and we were provided with fresh towels and all amenities needed. The breakfast was very tasty and a nice touch of a free welcome drink on the rooftop bar! A wonderful location for exploring all of Athens sights - we were able to do it all on foot!

Unfortunately our room was really noisy; a lot of noise pollution from outside, a neighbouring restaurant playing really loud music until around 1am. I understand that’s not the hotels fault but perhaps some better soundproofing is needed!

Modern, clean & comfortable rooms. Excellent shower. Good breakfast. Very good location for sights and just a minute from Monastriaki metro station, although a little noisy on the road.

Room temperature was very difficult to get right with the room getting very hot (despite cool weather outside) when the air con wasn’t on. Power issues on our second night meant a bad sleep as the room was very hot and very bright (the emergency exit sign became incredibly bright!).

The location is good (well centered). The rooftop is nice (view on the acropole). The bedroom was spacious and confortable. The bathroom and shower is great. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The room was clean and modern. Actually I was surprised by the room as it looked better than on the pictures. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

The streets are a bit too noisy in this area (works and traffic), but I could still sleep well. The toilets were not that clean (some traces of urine on the foot), but the rest was very clean. The breakfast was not very special despite it was the reason of my choice (next time I will take my breakfast outside). A bit too expensive taking all this into account, but I still enjoyed my stay.

Excellent location, comfortable beds, clean rooms. Friendly and professional staff, especially Paul at the front desk was kind and helpful (and Grace in reservations). We stayed in an executive room and a suite. Both were great, and the suite was superb, with a large sundeck. Breakfast might be improved, though, by offering more variety. Yes, there is some outside noise, depending on which way the room faces, but we had earplugs and slept soundly. We really enjoyed staying here because we could easily walk everywhere, including the Acropolis. Hundreds of restaurants were nearby, and shopping too. We always felt safe. We would return 100 percent!

The breakfast was limited to mainly sweet items: pastries etc. The outside noise kept us awake at night: went on until midnight - music and drumming as well as traffic noise.

The hotel was very close to the Monstraki Square, Metro, flea market and many restaurants that closed very late. We enjoyed working around during the late night when the streets were still alive. It felt safe. If you go to the RoofTop restaurant, you had a very nice view of the neighborhood as well as Acropolis lit at night. The staff were very wonderful and ready to assist with anything - even allowed us to check in early so that I can attend to a very important business meeting in the hotelroom. Breakfast was also delicious and fresh.

I did not really like the juice that they served during breakfast. I had to order a softdrink. Other than that, I would certainly come back to this hotel.

What a fantastic hotel, superb location right in the heart of Athens. Really friendly and helpful staff, great selection of breakfast foods, and a fabulous rooftop bar with amazing views of Athens and the Acropolis (they serve wonderful pizzas as well). The bed was so comfortable we almost missed our early morning Acropolis tour as we overslept, something we never do!! The room was clean and modern with a good size bathroom and a lovely balcony ideal for chilling with a drink and people-watching. The whole place was just as good as you could want.

We had to come home.

Great location, one minute to metro station, bus stops and Monastiraki Square. Nearby there are plenty of restaurants with local dishes, live music. The hotel has great service, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean in the room and bathroom, very comfortable bed, beautiful sheets and towels, nice toiletries in the bathroom, good lighting in the room and bathroom, good air conditioning, many TV channels in different languages, digital clock with large display on the bed table. Tasty and varied breakfasts, delicious bread, good power of password-protected wifi for hotel guests, a rooftop restaurant with a wonderful view of the city. Before arrival, very good e-mail communication with the hotel reception.

In the bathroom there was no one hook, shelf, not even a door handle to hang clothes and a towel close to shower cubicle. The sliding door of the shower cubicle had 2cm gaps on both sides which resulted in flooding of the bathroom floor when showering. The only hanger in the bathroom for drying towels far from the shower cubicle, placed too high as well as the magnifying mirror (I'm 160 cm, which is average height) The room didn't have a normal wardrobe with shelves only an open rack with 3 shelves and a few hangers so I kept my clothes in my suitcase. The iron was able very poorly heated and had no water tank.

Great view, very comfortable room and a very good location. Breakfast was great, lots of options and all very yummy.

Had a wonderful stay in this hotel while visiting Athens. The location is pretty central, walkable distance to the sites, restaurants and close to the metro coming from the airport. Staff was very welcoming at all times and I felt pretty safe even when it got dark outside. Breakfast was well stocked and lucky for me they even had some soy milk in the kitchen. Rooftop bar was nice and quiet when I visited and it was great to just chill out up there. The area is a bit noisy at night, but closing the windows cancelled out most of the traffic and music noise. Even so there were earplugs provided in the room if you are a light sleeper (didn't have an issue with it). The room and bathroom were a good size, clean and comfy.
