Shangri-La Eros New Delhi

Absolute Excellence!!! We will most definately return. As a matter of fact, we did re-book a week after one of our stays only because we were so happy with our previous stay. You can see at the Shangri-la Eros Delhi, it is Team Work at its finest and because of that, is why it works so wonderfully. The Buffet was amazing and mouth watering. Restaurant staff were most kind and attentive. We can not find any fault. A special shout out to our Doorman Jitendra Rai who went above and beyond for my brother and I. We travelled from Canada and The Netherlands for Asthi Visarjan for our father and Jitendra helped us tremndously during this emotional time with logistics. He is a jewel in the Shangri-la crown!! Thank you and we hope to see you soon.

We stayed in January 2024 (father and daughter). Great modern hotel in a central location. Hotel security was at a high level. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was great.

Perhaps this is a very particular American tourist complaint, but others may appreciate knowing this before arrival. I was very surprised that they did not have any Indian domestic beer available anywhere in the hotel. For my last two nights in India, I would have liked to enjoy an Indian made beer. They only offered 3 choices: cheap American/Mexican/Dutch beer (Budweiser, Corona, Amstel Light). I would expect a 5 star hotel to have a much better beer selection. Everything else was top notch. Fortunately, a staff member told me where to find a wine/beer shop which turned into a fun adventure walking through the city one evening. He helped me with directions. Thank you sir!

Stayed at the property for a day. The property is centrally located and has several landmarks (Central Vista, India Gate, National Museum, etc.) nearby. Had the opportunity to host a friend for a great dinner at Sorrento (Italian restaurant at the property). Both of us especially enjoyed the dessert taster containing an assortment of the available desserts which were the best part of the meal. The breakfast spread the next morning was equally amazing. Since my stay was short, I felt the place was great, no complaints!

Sorrento offered overall great food except for the pizza which both of us felt was subpar considering the four course dinner for 2 was expensive. I personally feel Jamie Oliver's/Pizza Express offers much better for less. Coming back to the stay, there was an initial miscommunication regarding the airport drop which could have been avoided. Secondly, the welcome drink was brought only after I asked whether there was any such thing. Apart from the above, I have very little to complain about.

The staff are so accommodating and the buffet breakfast is sensational. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and assisted us with lost luggage by Jetstar airlines at a previous airport. The team at Shangri la picked up our bags the following day so that we could continue our touring uninterrupted. What a huge relief that handled this for us and they kept us well informed throughout the process. They arranged our tour guide who was very informative and took the stress out of everything making our first trip to India an absolute pleasure. Beautiful facilities, clean and tidy, everyone was amazing including the spa treatment - rose petals in the bath. They put the wow factor into everything. Concierge was caring and wonderful.. Food delicious 🤤 Loved the bar in the evenings, great music and wonderful cocktails. Excellent views of Delhi throughout including rooms and restaurants.

Honestly can't fault them at all, everything was perfect. We will definitely stay again

Beautiful hotel with great facilities that feels luxurious. We loved the bar which had a great vibe and drinks selection. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of options and quality food. The hotel was clean.

We had 2 staff members who were very rude to us on day 2 at breakfast essentially accusing us of sneaking into the hotel breakfast. The initial staff member misheard the room number I gave. When this was clarified, instead of apologising for his and his managers mistake they were rude to me. Unacceptable. After I complained to hotel management they were very apologetic and the restaurant manager apologised on their behalf the next morning but frankly it left a sour taste in our mouth given neither of the two people who were rude actually apologised and the hotel did nothing else to make us feel more comfortable. The beautiful swimming pool is slightly ruined by the smell of fertiliser.

The breakfast at the hotel was exceptionally good, and the Italian restaurant impressed with its excellent service and high-quality food, making for some delightful dining experiences during my stay.

Conversely, the Asian/Chinese restaurant did not meet expectations due to its cold food and poor service. Additionally, the lack of access to the rooftop lounge/bar without paying an extra fee of 3,000 rupees daily was a letdown, especially since the skyview is prominently advertised and should logically be included in the already high cost of the stay.

Comfortable hotel, central New Delhi (but you will need a car wherever you go in this city), excellent breakfast, super kind and helpful staff. A special thank to Sanjama and Anjali-Bhandri for their work at the front desk.

Some parts of the hotel and rooms would need refreshment. The garden isn’t really used (just a lawn where you can’t really go). Restaurant offer is very overpriced for what you get (not talking about breakfast which was really amazing). This establishment would really need a rooftop bar to enjoy the great view from higher level (restaurants and bar are ground floor and first floor).

I had a wonderful experience at the Shangri-La hotel, every staff member I encountered, from the security to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! The rooms were basic clean and quiet. Staff were very hospitable and there for every need of mine. They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door. Hotel provided unlimited water supply which meant a lot to us since there was no markets around to get some. The bed and pillows were excellent, very comfortable and good quality. Location was good even though you can’t go anywhere walking, New Delhi is huge and outside is mostly very hot. Gym is huge and fully equipped.

On another note, I want to suggest to the cleaning crew to be aware of a way to spread germs by using the same cloth to wipe inside the sink, countertop, shower, and toilet. Also, more cleaning chemicals (disinfectants) should be used to clean inside the sink and shower, not just to wipe with a wet or dry cloth. Some scrubbing and washing with chemicals is required. Also, we were not pleased with the hotel restaurant prices. We dined at Sorento Italian restaurant inside the hotel where food was excellent and tasty, but the prices were way overpriced even for New York, Los Angeles or Miami. Unfortunately, we had to seek other options to dine outside the hotel.

the rooms were spacious and always clean. the food options were great. we were fortunate enough to stay during the visit of chef kuan lai, who was amazing throughout our stay, he made us a delicious array of food and his hospitality was second to none. the swimming pool was clean and the pool staff were very attentive. the concierge team was very hospitable, a special mention to Mr Jagraj Bhatia who helped me with some important postage.

it would be nice to have more options with the half board package, perhaps allowing access to all restaurants rather than just Tamra.

The staffs were helpful and kind. The location was situated in a good place, close to connaught place. The decor was good

The security was ridiculous. It was placed to tick off as if security was implemented but they barely did their job right. If they had removed them, it would not make an overall change. Their breakfast was good except for certain meet product which made us gassy and nauseated (pork and chicken sausage). Some of their price point for certain product seems excessive (for eg tea 599). Ik its a five star hotel, but charging 599 seems tad bit excessive
