Eyre Square Hotel

The facilities were excellent and kept very clean, but the staff were the standout. The gentleman on the front desk went above and beyond to help me with a complicated situation when he didn't have to. Absolutely amazing service! The hotel is a stone's throw away from Eyre Square and within walking distance to the entire city, and about 50m from the bus stops and train station.

It was not the hotels fault, but there were works happening on the footpath out the front which made it very noisy (jackhammers from 7am). I believe these have finished now, so should not be a problem in the future. The bar across the road could get noisy on a weekend, but any rooms not facing the road would be fine. Once again, not the hotels fault.

Our stay was lovely. The hotel is in a great location, very central and the staff are very friendly & helpful. The triple room shown on the website is not the room we had. Our room was a little dated and small but the beds were very comfortable & clean. There bathroom was small & clean but there was some black mould on the wall over the bath. Overalll we had a very nice stay.

The location was great right next to everything. We were able to park in the multi-storey car park that was half price due to staying at the hotel. Staff were very friendly.

The breakfast could have been better. It wasn't a buffet for the hot food, it was a set menu with little choice. The cereal, continental and juice choices were a bit poor. The location for the breakfast was in the downstairs bar which was was very big and not very welcoming. The food was very basic. The room was clean but in need of some freshening up.

We thought the fact that work men were working in room above us with constant hammering and jig saws was wrong when guests are staying there. We were woken up at 9.00 in the morning and this went on through the afternoon. Our last night we were woken up by a party in next room. But this is not the Hotels fault and after 3 times the reception sent someone up to quueten them it stopoed.

The staff was friendly and helpful. When I asked for the down bedding to be replaced with regular bedding (I'm allergic to feathers), it was done in a timely manner. Breakfast provided a good variety of cooked and cold options. The location was prime. I felt I had access to everything within a short walk.

On a slight negative - my room was on the same level as part of the restaurant. The door separating the restaurant from the residents opened and closed on a regular basis so noise was always leaking through.

After reading some of the negative comments about noise and age of the building, I was so happy to find the office. It was true I room was quiet, clean and updated. The staff were very sensitive to our needs and provided excellent service. I highly recommend this property.

Parking was a very short distance away and was reasonable

The hotel was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very warm, comfortable and spotless. We didn't have dinner there but we had a delicious full Irish breakfast that set us up for the day.. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Disappointed the kitchen was closed for the day so we had to eat out but the hotel arranged a meal in a nearby hotel instead. Nice gesture. It was quite noisy from 9 am onwards due to work going on upstairs These were only minor inconveniences.

The hotel is very nice,in a great location and the staff are all very friendly. Have stayed in this hotel before so knew what to expect, however the cold buffet breakfast was better last time. We didn't want a hot cooked breakfast, which looked very good, but the cold breakfast options could've included some meats and cheeses. Although the items they did have were nice and fresh. Lunch in the bar was good. Room was clean and comfortable.

The staff, the room, the location

The location!! While it's ideal for the city break..the noise was so bad as we were sleeping to the front of the building..we were awake most of the night with loud music from across the street and then screams of laugher/shouting till morning from people on the streets.

Fantastic hotel, very central couldn't ask for more. Very courteous staff who went the extra mile when you had a question or worry about transport or where a restaurant was. Nothing was a bother to them. Would definitely stay there again.

You couldn't find fault, it was seamless. Everything and everyone in it's place doing what is asked of them and doing it well every time. A well oiled machine.
